This year was very poor. We arrived & there were issues with locks not working & more importantly the AC in the unit was broken. I understand things can happen but come to find out Ellen knew about this a day or 2 before. She had ample time to call us & let us know & we could have cancelled. Instead, we went & picked up keys, nobody mentioned the AC issue, & 5 min later when we arrived at the house & I called her she said she knew. We went back & forth trying to find a solution & basically she said we can go home. She was quite rude while I was asking for help finding a solution. The few other units she offered werent as nice & werent in the area we have booked with her for 10+ years. Finally after speaking to her supervisor I got them to bring over 2 window AC units & we were OK. Nobody ever called to apologize or make sure things were going well. The whole thing was just handled very unprofessional & I wouldnt recommend Ellen Senft & we will take our yearly family business elsewhere.

This was, without question, the worst vacation rental experience I've ever had…read more We rented 1122 Ocean Drive, Apt. 4 expecting a relaxing beach vacation. Instead, we arrived to find a leaking ceiling. Based on our experience and the communications we received during our stay, it was clear that the owner was already aware of the issue before we arrived, yet the property was still rented to us. We dealt with repeated disruptions, poor communication, and missed repair appointments after spending valuable vacation time waiting for contractors who never showed up. Rather than allowing us to enjoy the vacation we had paid for, the owner offered to charge us only for the days we had already stayed and have us leave early, cutting our vacation short. We didn't spend months planning and paying for a family vacation just to be told to go home. The owner ultimately confirmed that the ceiling was safe, there was no emergency, and that the repair could wait until after we checked out. Despite that, the owner entered the property during our stay. If there was no emergency and the repair could wait, our privacy should have been respected for the remainder of our vacation. To make matters worse, this wasn't our first disappointing experience. During our stay last year, we were without air conditioning for three days. After two years of major issues, we've lost all confidence in Berger Realty's ability to provide the vacation experience they advertise. The compensation offered did not come close to reflecting the inconvenience and disruption we experienced. We will never rent another property managed by Berger Realty, and I cannot recommend them to anyone looking for a relaxing, worry-free vacation.

They were extremely flexible in moving it out and making everything work for us. Once the time finally came they made sure to capture every moment the way we wanted. They worked closely with us to determine what our priorities were and quickly adapted to our large and complex families. In mid-April, we came upon a property of interest and I finally picked up the phone and called Jennifer Dwyer. It didn't take long for me to realize that the person on the other end of the line felt more like a friend than an agent. From that initial phone call...through the modified searches...to our June closing (and beyond), Jen always managed to make us feel like her top priority. More times than I can count, Jen went above and beyond for us. Whether it was setting up inspections; meeting with a contractor to get a bid; securing our first packages that arrived ahead of schedule (and before closing)...the list goes on and on. With the two questions she often asked me - "How can I help?" and "What can I take off your plate?" - Jen not only made the entire process smooth, but often, pleasant. The ONLY GOOD THING about this location is it is less than 20 feet to the boardwalk. Great location. No wonder why the contract has a clause "tenant assumes the units condition sight unseen". The place was far from clean. Sand everywhere. Black tub, and furniture stains. Had to clean the whole thing. Sign in the unit stated to contact the realtor if it is not in order. So I did. He said he would contact the owners and get back to me. 4 DAYS AGO. Also advertised WiFi. The WiFi is centrally located and NOT per unit. My brand new iPhone and my Xbox could not connect and stated the issue is with the router. Please remove WiFi from the listing as it only works OUTSIDE OF MY ROOM IN THE HALLWAY. The pictures in the listing hide all the dirt and dinginess of this unit. The keys we were given to get into the unit after hours did not work and we got locked out and had to wait for someone else living there to let us in. We were not given a parking permit for the numbered spot so I hope our car doesn't get towed. We booked this from June 1-8 and will be leaving a few days early because of the mess of this condo. The whole thing is in dire need of a renovation. Our specific realtor was of zero help and the "owner" of the unit pretty much told us to pound sand. Stay far away from this condo complex and do not use this Berkshire office on 34th.
