I have had Rios Lawn Care for over 10 years. lawn mowing ,edging and blow off of patio and driveway. if I need extra like spring cleanup or bush or small tree removal I email him and it gets done for a good price. have recommended him to friends and family. if I am not happy I let him know and it gets fixed or improves. I have everything other week. and stops in Dec and starts again in March. I am happy with this company. read more

Rios Lawn Care is a joke. They use backpack gasoline blowers and huge riding lawnmowers even on a tiny yard, even when it's wet so they leave huge ruts in the grass, resulting a very noisy, messy, and unevenly cut lawn. What finally led our property owner / manager to fire them was when they stopped trimming bushes around the house from March 2020 until May 2021. At that point, we complained about multiple bushes scraping the house in the wind, covering windows, and one bush that was so overgrown that half of it collapsed over the sidewalk after a spring rain. The best part? When I pointed out which bushes needed attention, the lawn crew ignored me and left...three weeks in a row. Each week, they just mowed around the partially collapsed bush (pictured). They finally told the property manager they could only trim one bush per visit, so fixing all the bushes took over two months! We've had a new landscaper since September 2021 who manages to cut the lawn without damage and keep all the bushes properly trimmed. read more

As a Christmas gift, my parents hired Rios to do some work in my backyard. They first came out in April to see what needed to be done. They were called in July to be reminded to come out to do the work. It is now August, and I have not heard from this company, and summer has pretty much passed. I would have already moved on to a reliable/trustworthy company if this work wasn't a gift. But alas. The negative reviews here are unwarranted! I have been a customer for several years now from monthly lawn maintenance to landscape projects, sprinkler & drip system, new driveway poured, sump pump & drainage under my home to various handyman projects. Ron is extremely talented, knowledgeable, and very reasonably priced. He's a high demand small business that while sometimes getting a hold of him is challenging he is well worth the wait! Besides, plan ahead and have patience, you will be happy you did. I trust him 100% and these days that's hard to find. He has integrity, very hardworking and has been an absolute blessing to me. I have 3 neighbors who also use his services and are extremely happy so whomever wrote negative reviews there is always 2 sides to every story. Terrible service- This company does no justice for their clients or the neighborhood, Unless your into cleaning up others mess!! They leave debris everywhere. They blow it into the streets and do not do a great job of picking it ALL up. They routinely cut my neighbors yard every Monday- crew of three guys. It just so happens I was out working in mine as well. I saw them blow the debris into the streets in hopes that they would pick it all up, but instead they picked up the larger pieces only. As they were packing up to drive off, I asked them to clean up the mess they left and the driver looked at me and laughed. I immediately called the company and on the 5 attempt I reached the owner. (I previously was unable to leave a message because the voice mail was full). I informed him about his crew and the mess they left behind. He informed he would send them back to clean up their mess. Now mind you- I called them at 10am and it is now 7pm- and still no clean up. I would NEVER hire this crew or ever recommend them to anyone. Not only did the crew overlook this issue , so did the owner- Now that says a lot. If you see a white truck advertising "RIO'S LAWN CARE" and toting a trailer with a crew of 3 stuffed in the cab- beware!! You will end up with a mess on your hands and so will your neighbors. If your hired to do a job- DO IT RIGHT! Blowing debris into the street and not picking it up- is not doing anyone justice. Rios Lawncare in Vancouver, WA has been fantastic. They did such a beautiful job on weeding and putting down bark dust in my garden beds as well as edging, mowing the lawn, and trimming the bushes. They even picked up a few piles of garden debris that I had made w/o me asking. They leave my yard looking beautiful. They come promptly every week; wish I had hired them years ago!! read more

Initially hired them about 3-4 years ago and went well for the first few years. Over the last year things have gone downhill. Ron left town sometime last winter and no one did our yard during December, January or February, possibly not in March. It takes multiple attempts of reaching out to him to get a reply. He put the blame on us stating that when we went to every other week "there's just been too many problems." Said he's take care of the yard "through June", I confirmed he would be taking care of it during June, paid him ahead for it and they never returned after May 30th. Ron, Owner met with me to discuss what I wanted to be done. He was on time, pleasant personality, professional manner, listened attentively to a recent Widow/Senior to my expectations, had good suggestions and priced within my budget giving a senior discount. I have had 2 other yard people that stopped doing yards so found Ron on Angie's list liked the reviews. My needs are simple, straight forward and Ron's background in Yard maintenance worked for me. His crew came the day/time scheduled and introduced themselves and worked quickly, efficiently, cleaned the beds, pulled weeds, raked and then blew the sidewalks, streets. The front yard looked better than it has in a while since my husband passed. Having a ramp to the house they cleaned so well under it.
