One of the Best wines in Western Pennsylvania... I live maybe 10 minutes from Ripepi Winery. This place is me and my wife's favorite winery. I have tried wines in North East, and Central PA, Napa Valley and all over the midwest. This place is a small winery that has some very good wines. Everything I've tried here is always terrific. The red wines that are my favorite is Cabernet Sauvignon, Chancellor, Malbec, DeChaunac, Maréchal Foch, Steuben, and my whites consist of the Diamond Dry goes down dry but the aftertaste is a sweet fruity flavor, and Vidal Blanc. I'm a dry to semi-dry person. However I've tried all of them and they are all good. This place is wonderful. Everyone from the owner to the staff is always so wonderful and helpful. Free wine tasting, The place has monthly events sometimes on Fridays they have happy hours, and social events on Sunday's in the summer. They have a case club where you can sign up and have 3 bottles delivered to your house every 3 months. Please take my advice and visit this place one time. It will be worth your while.

Had time to kill so we stopped at this winery for a tasting. We got there just before it was open and since the door was open we went in. We were greeted by Marge and she was such a pleasure. She found out our likes and was generous with the quantity of samples. There was something for everyone. The shop was decorated for fall and was adorable. There was a room in back for small celebrations. We are not from the area so going above and beyond, Marge helped us plan our day be recommending places to go see (Nemacolin Castle) and places to eat and drink (Twelve Oaks). Her suggestions were excellent. She called and made sure they were open, gave us directions and printed us a map. It was a lovely start to our day!

This place is cool! Neat winery tucked away on a hill above Monongahela. Beautiful grounds and nice building. My mom mentioned they were having an open house today...all she needed to say she was willing to go and I was dragging her out the door yelling,"Let's go!". Small inside but not too small. It was a lovely open house complete with wine tasting and treats (cheese, crackers, & delightful Niagara infused vanilla cupcake). Tried the sweet whites and they were fabulous! Love the Niagara, Toasted Elf, & Diamond. I would recommend this place and will persuade my mom to go with me again (although I do not think it will require much persuading).

This was my first time at the winery. The customer service was great. They have great gifts there for a birthday or a holiday. Who doesn't want wine as a gift lol?! They even have gift bags for it which is great. I got the cranberry wine it is so good its just the right amount of sweet and tart. The prices aren't too bad I'd say they are average. The bottle I bought was $15 which isn't bad. I recommend this if you are in the area and would like to try some great wine or grab a nice gift.

We had a great evening at their vineyard & winery outside of Pittsburgh & feel it's worth the drive, especially on a beautiful day!

And wow... absolutely delicious! We happily grabbed a bottle of their Cab Franc to enjoy with dinner and it paired perfectly with everything. We started with the ricotta toast: homemade ricotta, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and garlic oil. Absolutely delicious. I honestly never even knew homemade ricotta could taste THAT good! For dinner, I got the salmon special with a white wine sauce over a bed of chickpea ragù, and I seriously could not stop eating it. So flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was INSANE -- rich, fresh, creamy, and you could immediately tell the Alfredo sauce was homemade and made fresh to order... definitely not from a jar. Soooo good! One of the best parts was the chef personally making rounds to check on guests and get feedback. Every table seemed to have nothing but positive things to say. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing experience. We already can't wait to go back. Make this a must-try ASAP!

Vinosky has a ridiculous cost for admission and a table that involves a refund in the form of a giftcard that they can't explain. Unless they fix their ticketing problems, I'm never trusting my credit card with Vinosky again and recommend that nobody else does either. The food is just either a piece of overpriced cheesecake or a cheese and crackers platter not worth the cos. My reasonable complaint was met with reluctance to even address my concerns in an adult manner and I tried to explain my concerns to the owners who didn't even have the curtesy to reach out. just a shame and I'd stay far away from this place, unless the nice view (which it is) is enough for you offset the limited food options, below-average wine, and very poor and apparently thin-skinned, ineffective and rude management.

Bella Terra Vineyards is a winery, restaurant, and event venue in the small town of Hunker in…read moreWestmoreland County. It sells a variety of dry and sweet wines (e.g., red, white, rose, sparkling, and cider), cocktails, mocktails, and beers. Some vineyards are on the grounds as are many barrels and bottles of wines. The restaurant has both indoor seating and seasonal outdoor seating in lakeside cabanas and winter igloos. It is open for brunch/lunch and dinner. It is a nice setting for daily dining as well as special events such as weddings, bridal and baby showers, and private parties. Furthermore, the website lists activities such as bingo, painting and candle-making classes, live music with dancing, and more. For my husband and me, I made a reservation for lunch in an igloo. Our igloo was large enough to fit eight people and cost $50 plus foods and drinks. A larger "party dome" fits up to 14 people and has a fee of $75. The temperatures outside were very cold, but our igloo was kept warm by an electric fireplace and a zippered door. Throughout our meal, our waitress provided timely and friendly service. The Bistro menu listed shareables (e.g., pretzel sticks and charcuterie board), several smash burgers, several flatbreads, mains (e.g., fish and chips, cajun chicken pasta, and quinoa bowl), several salads, several handhelds (e.g., turkey melt, veggie wrap, and Italian panini), many sides, and a couple of desserts. Prices were moderate. (The menus for Sunday Brunch and a group Gathering differ.) The waitress first brought our Sweet Wine-Cookie Flight (4.5 stars), which consisted of the following pairs: Diamond Reo with Brown Sugar Pop Tart, Sweet Finley with Chocolate Salted Caramel, Riesling with Cookies and Cream, and Rose Cider with Strawberry Crunch. The wine glasses came in a wooden box, which was slightly too small, so I needed several minutes of time to carefully pull each wine glass out of the box. I, however, did enjoy the sweet flavors of the wines and cookies. Next our waitress brought out our shareable and two mains. The Hummus Plate (4.5 stars) consisted of fresh and tasty hummus, feta, olives, top seedz crackers, tomatoes, cucumbers, green and red peppers, carrots, celery, and tzatziki. My main course was Crab Cakes (4 stars) with a substituted side of salad. Two crab cakes were a decent size of 4 ounces each, but I would have preferred more crab meat. I liked the garlic aioli. My husband's main course was the Cali Burger (4 stars) with a side of fries. In a brioche bun, a beef patty was topped with fontina cheese, applewood-smoked bacon (which he would prefer be crispier), avocado, avocado ranch, lettuce, and pickles (which he commented were nicely crunchy and sweet-sour) (no tomato at his request). The total price for the flight, shareable, two mains, and a soda was $98 plus sales tax and tip (plus the earlier $50 fee for the igloo).

Figured, "what the heck, I like wine!" What I found was a totally unexpected and wonderful experience. Most smaller mom 'n pop wineries are just not that good. Especially those outside the normally expected areas like Napa, Russian River Valley, etc. The ambiance is both country and modern at the same time. Meaning clean lol. The decor and welcoming smile scream "welcome home" and at the same time subtly describe a very modern wine experience. Apparently they get their grapes from California then make wine here. And it shows. This is the first Pinot Noir I've had outside Oregon that was actually good! The Montepulciano was very good too! I will admit I only tried one sampling of each of the reds and over half were great. Which is saying something. Also nice was the simple yet tasty charcuterie service. The presentation was simple yet appropriate. Sitting outside, enjoying the Sun and countryside just made the experience a visit to remember. If you ever want to try a local winery, sit at a relaxed venue, be served with a smile, and leave with a coups of fantastic bottles of wine, definitely make your way here. And apparently if you come on Sunday, you'll enjoy some live music to boot!

I had no real idea what to expect in terms of the building, but I was familiar with their wines. There is a sign for the winery at the end of the road and you enter up a long driveway (with several signs warning about not bringing in outside food and drink). I had no idea that their grounds were as massive as they were! There was even a sign for a walking trail. I visited on a Monday in the winter, so I wasn't able to take advantage of their beautiful grounds, but after a great visit, I definitely want to come back in warmer weather and come for one of their events (or even just to enjoy some wine outdoors). They have a nice variety of wines. Many sweet, dry and fruit wines. They also have cocktails and other drinks. I like that more of the specialty establishments are starting to have extended offerings because it makes visiting more accessible to people who might not like wine or beer but still want to enjoy the company of someone who does or a specific event. I went in set on getting a wine slushie (they rotate their flavors, but every one I've tried has been delicious). They allow you to sample basically anything from their menu and you can order wine by the glass, bottle or as tasting flights. When I was there, they were still offering their Valentine's pairing which included four generous pours of red wines each paired with a gourmet chocolate. I really enjoyed the experience and everything was tasty. The service was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I asked questions about the wines, where the grapes are grown, how they come up with new blends and about events and they answered all of them. Overall, an amazing experience and a place I'll definitely be back to.
