I wanted to give this rating in the hopes that someone like myself will choose LITERALLY any other fiber option in their area, if it's available. I am in a neighborhood that was newly getting ripple fiber installed. They ripped up everyone's yard, and hit my water line. I was just moving in so the water company came out and fixed it, no harm, no foul. I pre-ordered in March, the 18th to be exact. (Any email or date mentioned in this review, I have access to and can provide.) On April 5th I have an email from my neighborhood admin that states internet should be available mid summer. Awesome, no problem. On 6/21, I spoke with Steve from ripple, who stated the timeline looks more like September, issues with the DOT. I get an email confirming that on 7/1 from Brian. No problem, I get the government red tape. Here's where I get frustrated. On 9/3, I send another service request, just asking when Ripple would be out that month. No response. On the 12th, I get an email stating that "encountered a minor obstruction in our fiber line conduit, and we are working to resolve it." I receive the exact same email, word for word, 3 more times between September 12th and NOVEMBER 4th. I called sometime the week of the 20th, was told I'd be put in contact with a scheduling manager. This never happened. I get a phone call on November 6th, asking to schedule. I'm on a trip, so I don't manage to remember to call back until the 20th, because of course why send a follow up call for two weeks? I call back on 11/20. Mind you my neighbors have had internet for weeks. I'm told that because I didn't answer, they just automatically put in an appointment for 11/27, at 8 am. Ok.... but how are you people supposed to get in my house without my consent or knowledge? Were you just going to send a technician out and hope someone answered the door? So I try to play along. I want internet. I say I can be available and change my work schedule around so I can be home that day, at 8 am. It's currently 11/27, 8:30 am. There's no technician here. Do you know why? Ripple told me just yesterday, at THREE PM yesterday (11/26) to tell me the technician took PTO, between my phone call on 11/20 and today. Now can someone, ANYONE, tell me how that's a ME problem, and not an enormous mix up on their end? I talked to Jenny yesterday, and her voicemail called herself a manager. I explained this to Jenny, who not once said anything remotely close to a "sorry" (a fickle gesture, I know she wouldn't mean it, but you're in the customer service field. Say it anyway). Instead of trying to move some technicians around or do anything, she wanted to reschedule me AGAIN, while being completely short and rude the entire time as I expressed casual frustration at THEIR technician that THEY scheduled WITHOUT MY consent to show up to my door, not being available. I asked her if she could move anyone around for me, she said "let me see what I can do." and put me on hold. I hung up. I have NEVER left a review like this, but I am NOT giving them my business until someone apologizes for the multitude of errors and missteps along the way. I have internet currently, but what if I had cancelled my service, before the next billing cycle, in hopes I could get ripple installed? Now I'd be sitting here using hotspots to work from home. Instead of thinking of that, Jenny decided to be rude, flat, and unapologetic, and for that, I'm in no rush to return any calls or do anything to help them recoup the costs of the money they spent setting up my pre-order. I say all this to say, GO ANYWHERE ELSE. This company is run by unprofessional, rude, and inept managers who refuse to communicate by any means to their new customers what's going on with their setup. Special thank you to Brian, Steve, Jenny, and the two men I talked to on the week of 9/20 and on 11/20 to make this review possible. You all really outdid yourselves. I have had Ripple Fiber for 3 months. The wifi has worked completely for 2 days during this time. Originally, all devices would connect to wi fi except my printer. My computer would not connect to my printer through wi fi. Finally got it fixed. 2 days later there was an unscheduled router update. Now my computer will not connect to wi fi. Tech support suggested I put in wrong password. I placed another tech support request and haven't heard from them since. read more

We originally had CloudWyze, which merged with Ripple Fiber. We maybe had 2 issues with down service the year we had them. Ever since Ripple took over, we've had random outages and/or issues one or more times per month. Not to mention, I was told my bill would not change from $70 per month, which my bill has been $85 on every single bill for the past 4-5 months. Jan 2025 when I called & spoke with someone, this was suppose to be corrected I was told, but it has not & I've been trying to speak with someone to correct this for 2 months now without resolution. Fast forward to today...the past month & a half, I've been receiving text and emails every 3 hours around the clock from Ripple Fiber stating issues with my pymt & my service was being suspended (bill was current & paid) When I first received this I called & spoke with a rep & was suppose to get a call back on this...I did not....I emailed about this issue & billing issue, received a generic message stating it was being looked into. I still have not received a response or resolution. My wife & I both WFH, but have been sick all week with COVID. Woke up to try & get some work done today Thursday 3/20/25 to no internet. Rebooted router & still nothing. Went online & paid Aprils bill just in case but still nothing. Called Ripple tech support...after being on hold well over 40 mins, I speak with one rep, she wasn't able to help & transferred me to someone else. He had me unplug both boxes & that didn't work. Long hold again then he came back & said was transferring me to again, someone else. Speak with this rep, did what he asked & still no luck. Rep asked if I was a customer with CloudWyze or Ripple??? Told him CloudWyze until Ripple took over but not sure bc I've yet to get my bill correct bc no one has called me back so I honestly have no clue. I'm then told a tech will have to be scheduled to come out & they do not schedule same day so it wouldn't be until tomorrow!!! I was at my wits end by now...we've all been taking turns, sick with covid & we've been unable to work due to this until today just for my internet that is paid for, not to work & no one can fix it & I'm suppose to be working right now on top of my whole household has Covid, so no, a tech cannot come in my house. Once I told the rep this, he put me on hold & came back with a ref # for my issue & said he was sending this ticket to a supervisor Jennifer I believe, and she would call me back on this matter. That was 3 hrs ago now & still no call or internet service. So, after reading these reviews along with other ones posted on other sites, it seems I'm not the only one that has had & continues to have issues with this company. They cannot seem to charge me what I was told wouldn't change since they took over, we have random outages way more than I've ever had with any other provider, can not ever get a response back to fix my bill, you can't even pay online or over the phone if u want to split ur bill between 2 cards or pay another amount than what's listed. It has to be whatever total due is or they can't take pymt! (per what the rep I spoke with said anyway) which makes absolutely Zero sense to me....looks like I WILL now be contacting a new Fiber Provider that came around my neighbourhood a few weeks ago & setup service with them. Their reviews from what I've read so far are much better than Ripple. You'd think, like with everything, the prices we as consumers, pay these companies, we would have reliable service & customer service, but ALL of that with everything has went straight out the window since 2020. These people completely destroyed my lawn. I did not request any service from this company. They had no permission to come on to my property. They completely vandalized my lawn. I just replaced this lawn 2 years ago and they destroyed it!! Do not use these people!!! read more

Ripple is a janky and unprofessional internet service provider. In the short time we have been a customer, the service has been out multiple times in the Charlotte area. This current outage is now approaching 24 hours. There's been no reply, updates, or post by Greg Wilson the CEO regarding this latest major outage. Based on my experience and that of my family, I can't recommend Ripple Fiber and I would greatly caution those considering Ripple Fiber as a service provider at this time. read more

Ripple Fiber has horrible Customer Service. Today is later afternoon on Monday. My friend lost service on Saturday (in Waxhaw) Still hasn't received response from a tech support. Also, they only provide support Mon-Fri. proceed with caution if you are considering switching service! read more

I give them an "F". Installed on a Friday. Next day TV not connected to network. Call center person never even told me to reboot. That was the problem. He put in ticket for service and I finally got a call Monday morning at 11 am. Hours for service are only Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. Union County ...beware !!!! read more
