This was our first stop on the hop trail. Me and a buddy came to Naples to escape Hurricane Dorian's impending wrath. Thanks Brady it missed and even though we never got slammed I sure had fun on the other side of the state. Trust me the 2 hr ride is well worth it if your into brewery hopping as there are at least 6 within a small driving radius. Riptide is a nice clean and comfortable well decorated establishment where we met several nice folks and sampled several beers. I enjoyed the well versed bartender Christian's banter and vowed to come back when they have their annual panther fund raising bash as that's when some of their beer gems will be tapped. The 1 star demerit and it's really not their fault or much of a complaint, they were out of a couple of beers I wanted like the DIPA. Running out happens. I do say though I am in love with their Black Pearl Black IPA a 6.0 ABV beer beauty. The Scooby Dubbell at 7.2 ABV was AOK too. I look forward to coming back to Naples and Riptide and since there is another possible hurricane brewing in the Atlantic it maybe soon. read more

Having had two occasions to visit recently, once with friends personally and once with Wine Tasters of Naples for one of their weekly Happy Hours, I was impressed both times. Try their own beer brewed on the spot (samples were available). The food truck on site is not only clever but delicious food presented by Chef Kendra and owner John Colon, (who also owns Bodega Ole, a fine restaurant a block away - another not-to-miss.) What a great little spot! My husband and I were in Naples for the day and wanted to check out some local breweries. We live in Tampa, so we rarely travel outside of our bubble for great beer, but we will definitely be coming back to RipTide. It's a comfortable spot with indoor/outdoor seating. While we were there, they had a BBQ food truck on site which was OUTSTANDING! There is a wide variety of styles on tap, it was hard to select just a few for our flight! Ok. WOW! I stopped in today to get my Growlah filled with RTBC Seafoam IPA. It is a Killer NE Style IPA. Super Fresh. Loads of Upfront Pine and Citrus. Grapefruit and Kumquat notes. We were lucky to have been there when a food truck comes by every Wednesday & there food was amazing and had really cool pleasant staff! This is one of the best breweries in Naples. It's very convenient to 5th ave and usually has a food truck on site. I hosted an event here and we hired Low Brow Pizza & Beer to cater the event with their mobile brick oven. We had about 60-65 people and they did a great job of giving us enough space inside and even had the outside in the courtyard was needed. Eliza and Rita couldn't have been easier to work with. Beers were awesome and had a nice choice for everyone. Even had a cider. I highly recommend checking them out if you find yourself in downtown Naples or if you're looking for a place to host an event. You will not be disappointed. read more

A wide assortment of craft beers brewed in house. 11, I believe it was. The malty beers ranged from good to amazing. The hoppy beers range from bad to medicore. I got a beer from a guest tap that was not what was advertised. When we mentioned this, they said we weren't the first to say that and shrugged it off. The set up is nice, and in the tradition of other breweries and beer bars around these parts, they have a tasty food truck on premise. I will check it out again, as they just opened. I'm a big fan of local breweries and Rip Tide is such a cool place have some brews! This brewery gives you that ocean Poseiden's lair type of feel. They've got a nice sized bar for a lot of seating. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. There's a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. The big chalkboard in the back left displays all of their beers on tap. The chalk board also displays beers from from other Florida breweries. Their food selection is mostly cold foods since they don't have an active kitchen making hot meals. The day that I went, they had Up North Doggs in the back making hot dog styled food that were delicious (I wrote a review on them). Ride Tide has a large selection of their own beers on tap, and a few Florida beers tap. Im a stout/dark beer type of guy. They only had two beers that fit that category and they were OK. The Dunkleweizen was exactly what you would expect from a German styled Oktoberfest beer. The Capt Storter Porter was their strongest dark beer. It's described to have a malty taste with hints of cherry, and that's true. I feel like it lacks body. I found the beer a little watery, because it's not as heavy feeling as other beers I've had. This brewery specializes in their IPA's. They have about 6 or 7 IPA's on tap. I believe this brewery is for IPA drinkers. The reason why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because I'm don't like IPA's and feel that they don't have enough porters, and stouts to get me in there on a daily basis. read more

The SWFL craft brew scene is really kicking it into high gear with trendy and quality brewhouses popping up left and right and this Naples newbie (just around seven months old) has successfully and tastefully stepped up to the plate as well. Loving the "new car smell" here -- very put together with its modern and sleek industrial decor (not to mention the awesome mermaid coming out of the wall), while still giving off that necessary laid back casual brewery vibe. Extremely spacious inside with an awesome variety of seating options. Particularly a big fan of the huge wrap-around knotty pine bar, which not only looks cool, but provides you with great front and center brew and socializing access! Very eye catching is their oversized and colorful chalkboard menu listing out 8-10 house taps (from $5-$7 for a 16 oz pour), a handful of guest taps ($6 for 16 oz pour), a variety of red & white wines ($6-$15 per glass), as well as an events calendar. Other than the yummy craft beers, the brewery appeal for me lies in the socializing side of things. From band night to trivia night along with multiple days of food truck grub on site, they have lots going on here on a regular basis which is awesome! I won't speak for all, but for me the beer bloat struggle is real people! So when its time to test the new brewery waters, I always go with my tried and true beer flight move in order to get the variety without the overindulgence. Their tasting flight price is $10 for four 5 oz sample pours, which to be honest is a bit on the higher side in comparison to other breweries. Still reasonable though as you truly get the most bang for your buck this way! They also allow you to mix both house and guest taps if you want in your flight, which not all breweries do, and they offer smaller 9 oz pours at $3 per glass (guest taps at $3.50). As for the "belle of the ball," the beers themselves, I went with the Wye Nut Brown, Backwater Milk Stout, Paddlepuss Blonde, and the Jackman's Abbaye Belgian Tripel. While I was a fan of the Milk Stout which had a great hint of smoke to it, the Wye Nut Brown took top honors for its yummy coffee and caramel tones. Overall, a bevy of brewtastic taps! A few other honorable mentions... Free snacks like pretzels and nuts available as well as fish dips and Kobe beef sticks available for purchase from local businesses Captain and Krewe and Jimmy P's. Love seeing the local love support from one biz to another! If you're looking for more of a meal, feel free to order in, bring your own, or hit up a deliciously reliable food truck when they are on-site. Not to be overlooked, fun board bar games avilable, ample parking, and clean bathrooms (ladies we know how important this is). Also for dog owners, super dog friendly, where they provide your prized pup with biscuits and water while you kick back a few. On the other side of the coin, wish there was more outdoor seating available for fun beer games like corn hole and such and the beertender service was just ok, as she wasn't very attentive or friendly. We had no idea snacks were complimentary and I am always up for some munchies while getting my tasting on, so it would have been nice to know! This place is extremely cool. The atmosphere is relaxing and there are so many board games. We are visiting Naples and it was rainy so we thought we would take a beer tour. I got the port(er) royal and kabana kolsch. I would have to say the porter was better because of the chocolate goodness and darkness of the beer. The kolsch was crisp and light also a good choice but you have to be in the mood for something light. I'm kind of confused as to the mascot of this brewery. A god/goddess of the sea? Who knows. Stopped at Riptide for an event they did in 2016 - a charity that benefitted Uno, the blind panther at Naples Zoo. I wouldn't have gone had it not been for the charity... They don't serve food and I'm not a fan of drinking without eating. They had a food truck parked out back, but food trucks aren't my "thing". They had a specially crafted charity beer, which was terrible, and which we waited 30 minutes in line to order... the place was elbow-to-elbow packed, and so hot that everyone inside was sweating bullets. When we finally made it up to the bar, the employees were so busy pouring beers to set aside "ready" that they completely ignored us for a good 3-5 minutes. We waved someone down and asked if we could order and she pawned us off on someone else who wasn't paying attention. Either they weren't prepared for the turnout and way understaffed or the bartenders are just rude. We left after about 45 minutes... couldn't take the heat - literally. They lost my business. *****************UPDATE***************** I received the following Yelp message from an employee by the name of Mika: "Sad to see that you gave us a 1 star review 7 months after your visit. Hope you will try us again (we also offer wine for the non beer drinker) on another day when we are not busy. Just for your info we raised $3,700 for the Panther Conservation and are having the 2nd Uno Party the 18th of February. You might want to stay clear for that one as we are expecting a lot of people. Cheers!" Just another reason as to why I will never return to this place. Plenty of other breweries in the area that have AC and room to breath. I recommend Naples Beach Brewery or Bone Hook instead. read more
