Actually, Dr. Milde is very wonderful and amazing as a dentist. He is very understanding and takes his time to carefully explain everything. My assistants, Irving and Monse, are also excellent. They're both very friendly. They're very attentive to patients. They always ensure that the appointments run very efficiently. One can tell how much they love patients by the service provided. I experienced no issues with my process and if I ever had any questions, they were here to help! Was very excited for going to get my teeth clean and a couple of cavity taken care of ended up being the worst experience I have EVER had at a dentist DR ARRONROCK was my dentist that did my teeth he was very nice first time around and then the day of doing my teeth he was very rude and unprofessional made me wait 20 mins after my appointment time when he finally got to me after doing other patients he came in and said open up I'm expecting for him to just look at my teeth nope he gives me 4 shots to numb my mouth WITHOUT a WARNING ! I was a little shock and very startled but I went with it . He then left me a to do another patient with no warning he comes back again says open up straight started drilling I squirmed around and I told him I was in pain he didn't seem like he cares just kept drilling I felt like he rushed due to the fact he was doing 2 other patients! The assistant was no help either she never checked on me nor did DR.AARONROCK they seemed very annoyed about me being in pain DR.AARONROCK didn't do a good job my front teeth are now sensitive to anything cold and I still have PLAQU in the spots he was supposed to deep clean the assisted had me choking on my spit almost like she didn't even wanna be there to help and when it's all said and done I'm now suffering to overly sensitive front teeth THANKS TO DR.AARONROCK DONT COME HERE IF YOU WANNA GET YOU TEETH DONE they are a FRONT at first they act all nice and professional and once they get your insurance information and everything is paid it's like they turn into NIGHTMARE DENTISTRY I REALLY HOPE YALL READ THIS BECAUSE MAN I WISH I WOULD OF READ THE COMMENTS BEFORE COMING HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! While no one (except for a dentist) can say that they LOVE going to visit the dentist- I'm happy to say that our family doesn't mind it quite so much! We recently relocated to Arizona and needed to establish care. I was just hoping for a place near home that did decent work. But we got a whole lot more for the entire family! I'm so ecstatic that we chose Dr. Nelson Rock with Risas! He puts your mind at ease, explains everything, and numbs you topically in advance of actually giving needles (when you have work done which requires numbing). I have had terrible experience with dentist but this was definitely not one of them! Everyone made me feel super comfortable I think I was asked about 3-4 times if I needed any water or anything. Staff was super polite and had amazing customer service which is so rare now a days. Was also SUPER affordable, I have a family member who has the exact same dental issue as I have and she was quoted $2000 for a bridge and I was only quoted $1200! I love they offer payment plans! Dentist was also super nice and HONEST! Gave me a short list of priority items and told me to wait for next year on the rest!!! 10/10 would recommend. read more

I had a partial made which took 6 months and many appointments for fittings. I wouldn't mind but I still can't wear it because it's highly uncomfortable. I've been here for routine cleaning as well as for crown applications. One of the crown prep visits involved a root canal procedure - my first ever, so I was understandably apprehensive but my dentist was well skilled in his profession and the procedure proceeded smoothly, with hardly any pain. The entire staff is courteous and very friendly and made me feel at ease in all my visits here, and the procedures are affordable. I have never had a "family" dentist. I've gone from place to place, dentist to dentist, without ever finding someone nice or feeling like I've been taken advantage of. I can't say enough positive things about Risas Dental. Every single person there is so kind. Irma, my most recent assistant was a blast. So nice, so friendly, and she was able to get this dark mark off my tooth during my cleaning. YES! Thank you Irma! Dr. Hicks is the nicest person, not even dentist, in the entire world. Legit. He is so caring to not only me, but also to my husband who has a lot of physical anxiety about going to the dentist. I am educated on the proper maintence specific to my teeth and I've never had a more healthy smile. This was my second time going to a chain dentist. I had the same private practice for my whole life but, adulting, and new insurance forced me to look elsewhere. Everything was clean and super easy, no paper work, they do it for you on the computer. The ex rays went smooth. The dr said no cavities and I was ready to be cleaned. The hygienist that was performing the cleaning did a terrible job. The whole thing was less than ten mins. The tartar scraping was not even a min, I came home and saw there was still tartar remaining. As she polished my teeth, I didn't feel like she took her time or really did much. It felt sloppy and hurried and quick. But maybe she is trained not to dwell? Lastly, the flossing. She couldn't do it? It was like she never had flossed another person before. It was awkward and painful on my molars where she had to force it. Missed some teeth and my gap. I hope to get better dental insurance in the future so I can return to a private practice with a more thorough personalized staff. Overall, if you wanna save money or need flexible hours this place is for you. I added 4 instead of 5 stars because I felt like I was robbed of the money my insurance paid for my cleansing since I barely had one! I will reiterate how CLEAN the office was omg. I had requested for a different assistant to do my cleaning because the last one was a girl, I don't know her name but she was about to do my cleaning again today. She's always rushing! It was SUPER FAST last time and she didn't do a good job at all. I wish I remembered her name. I was not about to pay out of pocket again for work I do at home. Growing up I had bad experiences with dentists which led me to neglect my oral health and be fearful of going. Eventually as I got older I had to face my fears and decided to give Risas a try. I am so thankful I did. Tyler Hicks and his crew are simply amazing. The care, compassion and comfort Dr. Hicks gives is unmatched. Genuinely a great person who clearly loves his profession. I insisted my wife switch dentists and make an appointment for her next cleaning with Dr. Hicks. Immediately after her visit she calls me raving about him. Once we move down to Queen Creek next year we will still make the trip up to central Phoenix to continue going here. Initially, my family was grateful to receive the free dental services and thought it was a commendable act for the community and less fortunate. My opinion quickly changed. After waiting for over three hours to get a regular cleaning. I finally got into the chair only to be told that I needed a deep cleaning and they were not able to provide services today. The dental assistant was very rude and got an attitude when I asked her a simple question. Then proceeded to tell me I needed to purchase a membership in order to get a deep cleaning in which the total cost is over $1,000.00. I politely got out of the chair and declined. I am currently unemployed and do not have insurance; which is why I attended this event in the first place. I am highly disappointed with my experience. They seem to be more concerned about getting reviews in order to acquire more customers than actually taking care of the customers that were already in the office. It also appears that they are writing their own reviews and deleting those customers who have complained about their services. Dr spencer packer did horrible work on my teeth that I now have to pay 25k to fix. Didn't fix my cavities correctly so now I need caps on all the teeth he did fillings on. My compost veneers were done incorrectly and oxidized causing them to turn blue and cause cavities underneath the material. Didn't put a post on my tooth so that tooth completely broke off, so now I need an implant. Horrible work and caused so much damage. read more

I never had an issue with this Risas location. Dr. Olsen and most assistants are really nice; they ask about your day/week/life in general, to get to know you. The facility is always clean and the receptionists are very friendly as well. Probably the only issue is their appointment availability. Once you call to cancel ortho (braces) appointment, you gotta wait another month for a new appointment. Fernando was the best assistant throughout my treatment ! He made sure I wasn't in pain or uncomfortable when removing my braces. I'm happy with my results! read more

Best dental experience I've had since I moved to arizona. Got me in to be seen within a timely manner and then also got me back quickly the day of my appointment. It's a very clean and organized office with friendly staff. Most offices are understaffed so it's nice to see an office keeping up with demand and delivering such great customer service. I had my braces done at the 51st ave and mcdowell location and I work at the VA (close to 7th and camelback location) and the wire on my braces came loose. I popped into the 7th street location. Montse advised me that i would have to go to my location on 51st and mcdowell to have this fixed. Terrible service . read more
