They are opening a new location in Costa Mesa but that is still tbd with no set open date. So until then they've rerouted members to this location in Laguna Hills. I was skeptical at first because it's further for me than going to the location in the Irvine business district. Also the Irvine location was bigger but the classes were packed and the ventilation there was awful!! The class would smell terrible from everyone's BO, sweat, and dust and dirty equipment. So I was very skeptical about giving a new spot a shot in case it was even worse. But I took my first class here at the Laguna Hills location and loved it! Marya was teaching the class and she was such a good trainer. The class size was smaller there were about 6 of us, and the classroom was well kept, much cleaner, and I love the the walls have garage doors that go up and open to allow for plenty of fresh air. Bathrooms were clean and the equipment was newer. Until the Costa Mesa location opens I'll be very happy coming here instead!

I took my free class with Coach Shay, and she was absolutely amazing, so welcoming and supportive, and she guided me through everything. I then tried the 1-week trial, and I just knew this was the place for me. From day one, I felt comfortable and encouraged. The coaches truly care and take the time to make sure you feel confident and motivated, always there to answer any questions or concerns you have along the way. I recently completed my one year with HIIT It and I feel stronger than ever and can really see the changes in my body. You will find all fitness levels here, beginners, intermediate, and advanced, and every workout can be modified to fit your ability, which makes a huge difference. This place is truly the best. It's not just a gym, it's a supportive, welcoming community where you can grow, feel challenged, and actually enjoy the process.

HIIT It is located in a little plaza that has good amount of parking. It is a relatively new place with the 1 year anniversary coming up when I visited. All 3 days I came here, Shaylynn was the instructor, and she is one of the owners as well. Your first session you have to come 20 minutes early to go over the process and some equipment they have. Everything is pretty standard except the Ancore system and the ropes they use. The ropes are different as it's more in the wrist. Didn't use them in any of the workouts but I did a quick try and it was interesting. The Ancore is a pulley weight system that is easy to use. Make sure you bring your own towel or they do charge for one. The classes itself I have to judge in two ways. For beginners/older people who want a little less cardio and more focus on slow movements, HIIT It is perfect. You have 5 stations with two exercises at each station. You do 45 second rounds three times at each station. Unlike other places, they focus more on slow, controlled movements throughout the round rather than as many rep as possible. For more advanced people, this allows you to focus on a little heavier weights to challenge yourself. The main reason I knock it down 1 star is that for intermediate to advanced, it is a bit slow. My heart rate is about 10bpm less for the average throughout the entire workout and I barely break a sweat. The hardest day was for me the lower body day as there was a bit more cardio in there. I did like that the pace allowed me to go a bit heavier and focus on the muscle in each exercise though. Overall, I think HIIT It is a good gym, particularly for people looking for a little less intimidating class. Shaylynn did an excellent job motivating, correcting form, and challenging people throughout the workout. To me, it looked like they were building a good community too based on the member's interactions with each other. Plus for their anniversary party, 60 people reserved to go, so that says something about the community they are building. I will be back on days where I want to change my usual pace and will add it to my rotation of gyms.

I actually never missed a single practice in the 4 and a half months I was there. There were ongoing issues within the group (specifically one girl) that made the environment uncomfortable, and although they were brought to the coaches' attention multiple times, nothing was effectively addressed. A month before our first competition--after we had already begun learning routines--I received an email stating that I was no longer welcome at the gym. I was given no clear explanation, no prior warning, and no opportunity to discuss or resolve anything. Being removed from a team this way, especially right before competition season, was extremely upsetting and unprofessional. I would strongly encourage better communication and fairness when handling athletes in the future.

Is way to specific and it always had to be perfect for her to teach these skills to my cousins. I would have felt better with some of the other coaches but to be honest I don't feel this place is good for us. We are considering places like era or vibe gymnastics. The environment here seems like they are putting a show rather than actual teaching methods and passing down the experience. Just seems like coach Madelyn was a prime example of that. I was a little tentative about trying out kickboxing - I had been a long-distance runner in the past and this was out of my comfort zone - but after doing a trial session in October 2023, I signed up on the spot because it was clear that evening that this was the type of thing I was looking for. All the trainers so far have been fantastic, and the ability to drop in at any time during opening hours to get my workout in has been a godsend since my work schedule is a little hectic and I sometimes don't know when I'll be getting off. Being able to get an entire workout done in 30 minutes, and a workout that actually *feels* like a good workout, is also amazing. I'm about 6 months in to getting 2-3 sessions in a week and I can feel the difference in my body. I'm significantly stronger, and in some ways even more so than I was when I was distance running. The monthly price might feel a little steep, but I've not regretted one penny that I've spent at this gym. I only wish I had more friends in the area to refer them to this 30 Minute Hit location to help boost the community aspect of the gym.
