Rise 'N Roll, I have been a customer for YEARS at their Shipshewana location, and purchasing donuts and cookies at nearby Hardings Friendly Markets, HOWEVER!! They have changed!! Apparently since this store opened, they no longer provide products to MIddlebury and Bristol Hardings!! Probably other locations as well! The grocery guy at Hardings in Bristol, IN said they don't cater since they have the new "franchise" in Mishawaka!! Another change I have noticed is that the donuts they sell (at least in Mishawaka) are SMALLER than they used to be. They used to be a massive hexagon or octagon shape, now they are circles and you can tell they are at LEAST 25% SMALLER than they used to be. However incredibly DELICIOUS, I can't stand bakeries that do this!! Shrink the donut and keep the price... :( I haven't had the cookies so I can't comment on them, but the donuts are still AMAZING, but smaller :( Therefore only 3 instead of 5 stars!! read more

Brand new location. Soft open ongoing until the Grand Opening May 2nd. Definite growing pains. Product was not put out at the open and the staff mostly did not know the various donut varieties and their availability. I can see why others rave about their stuff, but I am not as enamored. read more

The donuts and caramel cinnamon rolls are outstanding. I'm not a huge donut fan-however, these donuts have no noticeable traces or aftertaste of grease - just light mounds of sugar, cinnamon and caramel that melt in your mouth & will likely give you a diabetes inducing sugar rush. I went Saturday around 11 AM and they were already sold out of the cinnamon rolls. The dangerous part is the new location is only 15 minutes from the house instead of 45 minutes in Amish country. read more

If I could eat the donuts from Rise and Roll every day for the rest of my life, I would be so so so happy. If I could eat their pie every day for the rest of my life, that would also be acceptable. In the real, slightly less sweet world, I've come here just a few times to satisfy my dessert craving and loved it each time. I was looking forward to their opening and was not disappointed! Can't recommend the donuts enough, especially their specialty, the cinnamon caramel. They also have a large selection of gluten free treats and a variety of jellies and jams. There's a deli there too, but I have never been. I stick to my desserts. It's also a lot less expensive than I expected, which is always a plus! read more

We are new to the area and a local recommended this bakery. I am so glad I took up her recommendation! These are the best donuts I've had! I had stopped eating donuts because the national chains had gotten to the point of tasting like cardboard. This place is worth the calories! Love the food and baked goods from here. The employees are always wonderful and they have quite a few unique finds here. When we ate, the girl working the deli counter took pur $3 on our receipt as a $30 tip. However, overall this place has been fantastic besides that one negative experience. Amazing donuts, customer service and delivery to the Notre Dame campus! I live in California and I wanted to order my boyfriend (who goes to Notre Dame) some sweets for his birthday. I called the bakery and talked to Sue, the owner, who was very nice and helpful. She recommended the cinnamon caramel donuts (which everyone on Yelp calls "Amish Crack"), monster cookies, the chocolate cookies, and apple fritters, so I ordered a few of each. She normally doesn't deliver, but since Notre Dame is so close to the bakery, she made an exception for me. She even offered to write a note and tie the boxes up with ribbon so it's extra festive for his birthday. I ended up ordering 3 donuts, 3 fritters and 6 cookies all for a super affordable price ($15). My boyfriend was totally surprised and LOVED all of the pastries. He said they're probably the best donuts he's ever had, and that's coming from a really picky donut person! read more
