Very friendly staff and even though you don't get a huge variety of donuts they have all the classics. I got a glazed and powdered sugar ones. The glazed donut was my favorite. They have a few tables set up inside for those who want to enjoy the donuts right then and there. I was also told they have fresh breakfast burritos they started offering recently.

I had been here before and remembered how much I loved their donuts so had to stop again. As you can see from my video, they have a ton of choices. I ended up getting the apple fritter and two of those little powdered donut balls that look like snowballs. Let me tell you... they were AMAZING. The apple fritter was perfectly crunchy on the outside, while the inside was fluffy, soft, and practically melted in my mouth. Easily one of the best fritters I've had. I also grabbed what they called a tiger claw that is filled with this magical goodness of layers of butter and blueberries and fruit. You guys have to try it and it is a massive you guys. But honestly, the highlight of my visit wasn't even the donuts it was the owner. I didn't catch her name, but her energy was so warm and welcoming. The moment you walk in, she greets you like family. It honestly felt like walking into your favorite tia's house, comfortable, friendly, and genuine. That kind of hospitality is rare and makes all the difference. One thing I completely forgot to take a picture of: their breakfast burritos! They have different burrito specials depending on the day, and now I have another reason to come back. I can already promise I'll be making another trip soon to try one. If you're looking for delicious donuts and a place that makes you feel right at home, Young Donuts is absolutely worth the stop.

There's a terrific bakery called Rise 'n' Shine Donuts and More located at the former Young's Donuts across from WalMart.. 1043 N Kolb Road. We met and talked with owners Terry and Robert, who are really lovely people. Their donuts are HUGE, delicious, and fairly priced. They're famous not only for their donuts but their sunshine breakfast burritos. It's not a coffee shop but they do have 2 tables....we saw many people coming in for their take-out orders. I told them they should raise their prices....and I suggested that after visiting many bakeries and pastry shops around town and getting their bills. I love supporting local businesses and times are tough. If you love doughnuts maybe you could give this delightful bakery a try.

Came in right as they were closing because she sold out of all her donuts for the day! So, she was nice & gave us here "scraps" for free! Haha We also ordered their chorizo breakfast burrito. It was fantastic!! New ownership & new name coming soon "Rise n shine donuts" keep an eye out! Should definitely check them out! Very cute inside as well!

Always saw this place out of the corner of my eye when I travel on Kolb and so glad that a Yelp event finally gave me that push to visit. The donuts are classic, nostalgic, and delicious. My husband is picky about cake donuts and he gave his stamp of approval. The breakfast burritos are also delicious! They are advertised a "Tucson style" which the owner kindly told me that it meant they are toasted on the outside. I went at 11am on a Friday morning and a lot of donuts were sold already (just lets you know how good and popular they are!) however the owner was nice enough to quickly make a fresh batch of the glazed and maple donuts for a few of us customers in here at the time. If you're going anytime after 12pm, I would call to see what they have left or even if they plan on closing early. The owner def made this experience far better. She was such a sweetheart and so welcoming. Looking forward to becoming regulars (:

AMAZING SERVICE the most friendliest owner, best kolache I've ever had, the beignets even better. I would recommend this small business to everyone!! I got 2 doughnuts and a kolache for $10!! Will be back again next Saturday for sure!

Thank you Yelp for setting up an Elite event here! I am so glad I went to experience this new place again. The owner was super friendly and so helpful. Also very apologetic that she had sold out of most of her delicious sweets when I got there. (I'll have to remember to be there before noon next time.) The donuts are a generous size and fluffy and tender and just the right amount of sweetness. I was a bit confused by one of the donut labels and read it as "lemon and blueberry" and she explained that wasn't what it was but was more than happy to fill one of her already prepared shells with the lemon and blueberry for me. I was not disappointed at all! She said she'd be more than happy to fill a shell with anything she had that I would like which was very accommodating of her. We also ordered the chicken strip meal and it was equally as delicious and helped us get some protein in to breakdown the yummy sugar. I will have to try the $8.00 burritos on my next trip because they sounded tempting as well. It's not a big shop-just 2 tables but it is donut stop after all so pick up plenty of deliciousness and take it to go and share.

Gotta say, it takes a fantabulous donut to impress this lady who is not huge donut fan. Welp, changed my mind as their coconut sugar cake donut- Delicious, so crispy on outside and soft in middle. Best donut and served by one of the happiest people, Mona! This woman never stopped smiling- she was putting taster size glazed donuts on plate , along with our orders. She was professional ,yet, friendly. Her energy and that donut will have me back there again and again. Ambiance? Clean, well stocked, felt like small bistro- comfortable. There are two small two person tables in there and we were early enough at 9 to get one. The second we sat down, the crowd came and line was forming. I also had bought a ham and cheese croissant- huge, flaky, delicious! Put this on your place to go this weekend. Highly recommend !

I found my new favorite local donut establishment. They make their donuts fresh every morning but make sure to stop by early because they do sell out. The apple fritter was better than my hand and I can see why it's one of their popular items. Their donuts are light with a cakey texture. The owner was friendly and helped me decided which donut to try because they have so many. A cute bakeshop with delicious donuts. I highly recommend you try them!

The is an east side gem! The donuts really were amazing. I came for the yelp elite event and got two free donuts, one glazed and one strawberry glaze. I had to get an old fashioned for my hubby which they dipped in maple glaze and was to die for.. they also threw in a few donut holes which were super yummy and I got a cinnamon sugar long John as well. All were delicious! I live on the west side but would make the trip over to get these again. Service and place were great also! They had a couple of tables inside just in case you can't wait to eat them!

It's been a while since I have been to this store. I was not disappointed. I tried the cherry fritter and tiger tail (big glazed donut with cinnamon and apple bits. Tried out the ham and cheese and the one with jalapeños. They were delicious. Didn't try the chicken...next time. I came to get special donut for BFF's birthday and here is the cherry and Bavarian cream treat. I pulled the candles out before taking the picture.

Seriously, the best donate in Tucson! They're completely on the other side of town for me, but i had the opportunity to stop by a few weeks ago and try them out. I had a toasted coconut doughnut that was so light and fluffy with lots of tender golden coconut. I took my bf home a couple because he is a true aficionado. He stops by another place everyday on his way to work to get a glazed donut and oj for breakfast. When he tried the glazed I brought him home he actually said "Holy F*c#!" and said it was the best donut he had ever had, This is a man who never travels more than three blocks out of his way for anything but today we drove the 9.8 miles to get him his glazed donut from here. In addition to great donuts they offer breakfast burritos which I had also brought home from my original visit. It was only $8 and loaded with some really tasty Machaca eggs and cheese. They also offer a something called broasted chicken which I hear is good but did not try. Mona was working the counter on my first visit and the owner Terry was there working today. Both were very nice and attentive. When I told Terry how my we drove clear across town just for her donuts she was so happy and appreciative. You can tell she's very proud of what they do. I wish them much success

These are our favorite donuts in town. They're less oily than most donuts, which we appreciated. The "raise glaze" ones are so fluffy and delicious, we love the texture and flavor. The owner is super friendly too. She asked what kind of donut we were looking for, we described it (glazed with chocolate filling), and she said "that's not on the regular menu but we can make it for you right now!" and they made a custom donut just for us. Nice personal touch...and it was delicious! Try to come in the morning, they start selling out in the early afternoon. Highly recommend this place!

And for all that, the price per donut was darn fair. Fast-forward to the last 2x I went there (2025) to bring home a maple bar for the spouse and a few to have for the rest of the family. They were a little better than most grocery store donuts. BUT. Not as good as they used to be. Don't know what happened, but they are middle of the road now, at best. The very last time I went the maple bars were dry, smaller and not the same. New baker? New recipe? Complacency? Idk, but my local Dunkin (Sandario) is now noticeably better or equivalent and a much shorter drive. Service is no frills. Don't have anything to say about the ambiance as I've only driven thru. Overall, okay, but nothing to get excited about. And my coffee was not worth reviewing. Maybe one day I'll try them again and see if they've improved.
