I live right down the street so when I discovered this joint, I was super excited. I've been visiting daily around different hours and they never seem to disappoint. Their donuts are wonderful and you could tell that they're freshly made. The service was great and was told it was a family owned restaurant. Of all the places I have lived and enjoyed donuts, this is the best, the Queen. If you're looking for what I call a traditional donut, you won't find better anywhere else. They are perfect in every way. The Broasters chicken is also phenomenal. Significantly better than any place I've had this type of fried chicken before. My kids were blown away the first time we had it. It stays crispy (how?!) and the meat stays juicy. I adore Queen Donut, the ladies who serve me every time I go in and even if I moved further away, I would still drive out to get their donuts. It's not just a donut place although they're donuts are amazing I've had them twice I really enjoyed their cake donuts I haven't had a chance to try there raised donuts yet, but they found this little niche to serve broasted chicken late in the day which is really a good idea. They're chicken was hot fresh and delicious in the afternoon and the small thing is locals know it's good so it's next to a senior community of Tucson estates and a lot of working locals and the surrounding rancheros also go there for picking up a quick dinner and so it's not just a donut place. It's a unique combination of the owners are very smart to do it I'm sure it helps them with their revenue. So if you're a tourist it's worth a stop either going in for breakfast treats in the morning or hot broasted chicken on your way out of the park or the museum. read more

This place makes their customer feel like a friend of the family. It goes beyond the delicious broasted chicken and the as close to perfect as possible buttermilk doughnuts. These folks are genuinely kind and friendly to everyone who walks through the door. Queen Donuts 2 has become my go-to place on rough days when I'm in a funk. My daughter and I have been meaning to pick up some donuts from Queen so we stopped in a couple weeks ago and got a dozen donuts to go. We also grabbed a piece of chicken each because we were hungry and it smelled really good. As far as the chicken goes, it was fresh and crispy. I had been searching for so long for excellent fried chicken in Tucson. After 3 years, I finally found it. I was hungry when I walked in. When I saw the chicken, I went from hungry to starving in 2.5 seconds and my mouth began to water. For 24 bucks I got an 8 piece mixed, two extra thighs, and a two piece tenders, and two apple fritters. I knew to order extra pieces because I drove 30 min and who knows how many pieces would have actually made it home. It was so crispy, yet so light, and so juicy. The apple fritter..ABSOLUTELY amazing. I believe the name of the lady working behind the counter was Amy. I told her how I was so excited to try it and how I drove so far. She sealed the deal with an extra chicken tender. Even while wearing a mask I could hear the smile in her voice. I am so happy I stumbled across this place. The donuts are fresh, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. I had a variety and each one was delicious. The cinnamon roll tasted even better than it smelled. We decided on a second visit after reading the fried chicken reviews and boy they were not wrong! The chicken had a crispy outside and juicy, tasty inside. The wedges are so thick it feels like you're eating a baked potato. I wasn't crazy about the Mac salad. I will be returning for more fried chicken and donuts!
