I had a gluttony moment for sure. What I don't understand though was the ordering process, you would go in, grab the menu, order, and give you a pager and wait. I thought that I would have to pick up the order from the from but they came to me which didn't really make sense to use the pager. We also went to the comedy club that the restaurant was hosting and I'm sorry but that was bad. Definitely an awkward environment, only a handful of people there and you can tell that some people were forcing their laughs. Definitely don't recommend that. But all in all though, it was good. 9/10 (food) 7/10 as a whole

Amy was very responsive and easy to talk with about what we wanted as well as accommodating to our requests. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space on a warm August evening and when it turned chilly the staff was quick to get heaters and fire pits going for us. We did a buffet of light bites and drink tickets, was perfect for our guests and affordable for us. If guests desired more to eat or drink that was on them and their orders arrived quickly and were delicious. We were also in need of a Jockey box for serving beer at the winery venue the following day. The Backyard is the ONLY place in Paso Robles and the surrounding area that has one for rent. And, they provided us with clear instructions on how to set it up and use it appropriately. Wonderful experience all around.

The beer stood out as especially fresh--you can immediately see it in the pour with a tall, foamy head. It made me realize how worthwhile it is to buy directly from a local brewery like this. The beer is brewed in Berkeley and feels noticeably fresher than what you often get from stores, where even a full six-pack can sometimes taste flat or stale.
