I initially called to make an appointment for my pool to be serviced on May 5. Unfortunately, the company did not send a notification until seven days later, and the message was sent to my old roommate even though I had already provided my updated phone number. My former roommate did not see the message until 7:30 PM the night before the appointment, forcing me to cancel because there was no reasonable notice given. At no point in the email or text was I provided with a timeframe for when the technician would arrive. After that experience, I went through the portal again and later spoke with someone on May 23 regarding another service appointment. While I was out of town, I suddenly saw someone at my door through my camera system. Since I was away, I gave them permission to service the pool remotely. However, no one contacted me to explain what was wrong with the pool or discuss the repair cost before performing work. I specifically informed them that I had already replaced the flow switch on the salt cell myself, yet they replaced the same part again and discarded my brand-new part. When I returned home on May 27, the red flow light was still on, meaning the issue was never fixed. I called again on May 28 to schedule another appointment, only to be told they would not be able to return until Saturday or Monday -- another seven to nine day wait. I explained that I did not understand why I was being pushed to the back of the line when they had already come out once and failed to repair the problem. I have now been trying to get my pool serviced since May 5, and it has been nearly a month without my pool being operational. Additionally, the woman answering the phone at the Garner location was not friendly or helpful during the process. If the problem is not resolved by Saturday or Monday, I will absolutely no longer use this company. read more

The Garner location has become a bit too big for their britches. I can understand making appointments for certain issues and sales. But pushing people off to a parts supply person by phone who never returns your calls is detrimental to their business. I called for a part and just decided to make the drive there to see if they had one in stock. The big kicker is they had the part but were going to charge me 1-1/2 times the average retail price. I decided to order from Amazon, and saved 78 dollars and had it the next day. If it wasn't for customers they would not have the business, treat your customers with a bit of respect also, a lot of people freak out when something happens to their pool and/or equipment are just looking for help, not a condescending attitude. I was in college and worked the summer months installing and repairing pools, people spend a lot of money to have the luxury of a pool, and some save over time to have a pool. Treat everyone with compassion when they call or are seeking a bit of information when an issue arises will go a long ways. You are not the only pool company in NC. I've been a customer for over 15 years, used them exclusively during that time. But I will be looking elsewhere for better customer service. read more

I accidently hit reset on my Pentair pool control panel. I could not get my automation to work after that. I hired Rising Sun to come help me get the automation back up and running. They sent out a technician who was supposedly familiar with Pentair. He was here about 2 hours and I paid an hourly rate for his time. He told me my antenna had gone bad. I knew this wasn't right. It worked fine before I hit reset. I was charged $200. I had another company come out and they got it up and running with the antenna that Rising Sun said no longer worked and needed replaced. It was not a problem with then antenna. What a waste of $200!! read more

Rising Sun Pools in Garner has done an excellent job so far in helping me diagnose my cloudy water problem. PJ and all of the other employees have top notch customer skills and are very smart about pool maintenance. I had a million questions, and all answered with a smile with useful information. The water analyses were all done quickly and results discussed at length with me. I highly recommend this store to anyone needing pool water analysis and problem solving. read more
