Their selection of vitamins, cleaning products, skincare, herbs, and teas is one of the best in the state for a small, local health store. In the Summer and Autumn, their selection of local produce increases. This year they have done a great job with local organic seedless watermelon and a nice variety of local organic vegetables. The dry goods section is not as expansive as one might find at a big box grocery store, which feels pretty reasonable and is even one of the reasons the store is nice.. it is a genuine, locally-opened small business.. not powering a huge space or warehouse to hold 12 varieties of one packaged item where 1 or 2 types are great. There are still many staple items to choose from. The costs I have compared are not more than the costs of items if they were ordered directly from the producers, they seem fair with prices. They are such a great addition to the area I try to think more of how I can support them instead of focusing on and criticizing minor shortcomings that most small local business face. I look forward to going to Harvest Time and finding interesting healthy things every time.

They have a ton of local food, gluten free options, and obscure healthy finds that I had read about online. Plus the greatest little gift shop area. It's astonishing that I have only been in this store twice, given the fact that I grew up in Brunswick...Anyway, i finally made it in. It's a smaller store, that feels like what you might encounter in a larger city. It was neat and clean. I couldn't really tell how aisles were organized, however, because I was browsing, it didn't stress me out. We encountered one staff member who "assisted" my sister and it was fine, very transactional, which is fine and again, what you might expect in a big city. Staff at the register were fast and efficient, didn't engage in too much conversation, just supportive of fruit pies I purchased. LOL They had a lot of offerings from some of our favorite local businesses! Standard Baking Company Little Lads Two Fat Cats Union Bagel The prices were competitive as well! They have fresh produce, meat, dairy, eggs, seasonings...pretty much everything you can find at Whole Foods but at a smaller more local scale. I can't wait to go back the next time in town.

I do not purchase other products as the prices are higher than I can get them elsewhere. 80 percent of the time I have shopped in this store I have been overcharged. Make sure to ask for the itemized receipt and check it carefully to make sure you are not overcharged. When alerting the check out person there is no real apology only some explanation that does not really explain why I was overcharged. I used to buy packaged lunches that were made by Chow Mein and last time I was there I was told they have decided not to carry their products any longer. I no longer shop at Fresh Off the Farm. Oh, one other thing, as far as I know there is no actual bathroom for workers, only a portable toilet outdoors. Concerning since they handle produce, etc.

The staff butted in front of me without any "excuse me" or other acknowledgement . The cashier did not ask for my number so that I could have my purchase count towards my rewards. I grew up and have lived here all my life so I am not a tourist or from away. I will never go to this store again after the treatment I experienced today. I work in retail and I would never , ever, treat a customer in this manner. if I could give a negative number that would sum up my shooting experience.

My lackluster rating of this location mostly reflects my experiences with the hot bar (not the wing…read morekiosk) in the meat department - though the overall store prices are also less than ideal, even before COVID hit. I have tried getting hot chicken tenders here five times now, over the past year. Four of those five times the chicken was barely room temperature; two of those times they were inedible tubes of tendon and gristle. I have never had either issue, consistently, at any other Hannaford location. I've shopped at many. I have spoken to staff here twice about this issue. The first time was an older man working the counter, who, when I asked how long the hot food stayed under the lamp before being pulled (expecting to hear "four hours"), replied "until close, when it gets refrigerated". Thinking he assumed I meant just the current batch (it was 5:30 PM), I clarified. His answer remained the same, and he looked at me like I was crazy for asking. That ain't right. The second conversation (after I'd sworn off getting hot chicken here), was initiated because I saw a woman actually temp testing the whole birds under the lamp (located right under the tenders). I thought, "finally, signs of quality control!" As we were speaking, a guy behind the counter pulled five bags of tenders off the heat and replaced them with fresh ones. The woman turned to me and said, "Those should be piping hot". I grabbed a bag, ran for the self-checkout (no line) and was in my car in under three minutes. Took a bite...room temp. And a giant finger of tendon (seen in attached picture). I give up - for good, this time. Chickens of the world rejoice. The last Hannaford I routinely shopped at sold hot foods that would burn your mouth, once in the car, if you didn't let them cool for a bit. So, while I don't know what this store's problem is, this is not a insurmountable condition of serving hot foods.
