Great service. Great food. Great ambience. Great restaurant! The dirt road we bounced along from near Panzano to Lamole was well worth enduring a teeth chattering ride. Our group was warmly greeted and seated 30-minutes ahead of our reservation time. Recommend getting there with plenty of time to secure one of the few parking spots. Their onion pudding, gnocchi and andouille starters were beautiful. If they offer the garlic ribs, go for it! Nice lemon cello after dinner. Wish we lived closer because this would be in our dining rotation. Cheers!

If you are anywhere in Toscana, you MUST come here for lunch! I've always commented on restaurants with good views and have mostly been disappointed with the food aspect; HOWEVER, this place delivered on everything. From the stunningly gorgeous hillside views of vineyards, to the most genuinely friendly staff, to the mouth watering food that was served, this restaurant is an absolute MUST! If you want one of the tables with a view, you must make a reservation days in advance and request it! Even if you don't get a view though, the restaurant is so divine and tranquil, you won't feel like you're missing out. Now the food: I started with the red onion soup with black truffles on the recommendation of a few reviews. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it exceeded all of my expectations. The pasta stuffed with porcini mushrooms topped with generous slices of black truffles was simply perfect. The top is a bit crunchy, the inside soft, tender and beautifully cooked. The wild boar pasta was also good, it just didn't compare to the truffle pasta. And lastly, I know people get defensive about tiramisu, but this was the BEST tiramisu I had in my 17 days in Italy!

Went for a drive ended up at Ristoro de Lamole. WHAT A SPECTACULAR VIEW!!! Only to be topped by superb cuisine with terrific service in a warm family feel. Don't miss this gem !!

    Local Chianti Classico

Way up in some of the highest hills in the Chianti Classico district is the village of Lamole. Known for delicate and lighter-bodied wines, they also host this great restaurant with wonderful food, really friendly service and this killer view of the surrounding hills, especially if you sit outside for your meal. A great great place to enjoy a classic Tuscan "Cena" while drinking their local wine and watching the sunset. We've been there twice, and usually get their Bistecca Fiorentina (among a number of other goodies) to share. And, yes, their wines are terrific. The drive up the road to Lamole from the 222 can be a bit nerve-wracking for the uninitiated, but its worth it. If you can't bear to do the same route after your meal, go uphill and take the gravel road back down to Panzano. Yes, its unpaved, but its actually more gradual and has fewer hairpin curves. This is really worth it.

This is one of the best meals I've had in Italy. The staff is very warm and friendly. The red onion pudding/mousse was a spectacular appetizer. The pasta dishes were incredible. And the ribs, as a second platter, were the perfect portion and had a rich herb flavor. Boris took great care of us and he painted the beautiful artwork on the walls.

il ristoro di lamole. 5.0+ The restaurant in Lamole deserves all of the accolades that they have received. Il ristoro di lamole is located approximately 25 minutes from the village center of Greve. It is a rather challenging drive up the hills, but once you arrive, the venue is worth the effort. The views are wonderful. The service is excellent and the food is fantastic. Clearly this was our one of our best meals during our two weeks in Italy. There were 4 of us dining together and we all ordered different starters and main courses. It gave us the opportunity to try multiple selections. All of the dishes did not disappoint. The staff was very understanding as they delivered multiple extra plates to our table. Their wine selection is extensive, but I recommend the local vineyards in Lamole. The wines from this area are very good and the higher altitude creates some wonderful chianti wines. Except for the challenging mountain, the evening was a prefect.

    Pasta with wild boar

This place was exquisite! I had a pasta with wild boar and it was so delicious! The cook the meat with herbs and red wine for hours so it does not taste too strong. The house's wine was very good. Also, the service was absolutely fantastic. It had a stunning view that makes the experience more magical. If you are in the area, check it out!

Wow........ where we will go for excellent food! Up a dirt road in the Chianti Region of Italy. The road was rough but worth it! Great food, excellent service, beautiful day! Be ready for an adventure before, during and after!

I'm not even sure where to begin, so I'm going to start with gratitude. I'm grateful that I live a…read morelife where I was able to take a tour of this picturesque winery tucked into a Tuscan hillside, followed by an absurdly delicious four hour lunch complete with ALL THE WINE. Look, I've been wine tasting before. I'm cultured. I usually go to the bathroom in the bathroom. But I was completely unprepared for this lunch. Partially because my friends who booked it didn't tell us we were tasting wine at a Michelin starred restaurant (and partially because I was deeply hungover from all the wine I "tasted" the night before). In any case, I was not at my best when I arrived. But the hospitality here is unmatched. They welcomed us in like we were guests in their home, offering espresso and anything else we needed before the informative and interesting tour of the monastery where they make and store the wine, including the 1000 year old rooms where they used to smoke meat, and store food. The entire estate is absolutely gorgeous. We were here in May, and everything was blooming. They have an incredible garden in the back which I assume provides much of the produce for our meals, and you can taste the quality and the freshness in their "garden's fresh salad" which was one of the five courses on our menu (that in reality looked and tasted like no salad I've ever seen). This menu underpromised, and the staff overdelivered. While there were five courses, there were also several bites, and tastes, and dips, and even mini-sandwiches of anchovy and butter and dehydrated chicken essence that blew my mind. By the time we finished the incredible cannelloni with roasted beef sauce, and started on the duck l'orange, we were bursting at the seams. I cursed my mother for instilling in me a need to finish everything that was put in front of me, but I was never not going to eat that airy focaccia paired with the silkiest olive dip you've ever seen. One of my friends joked (I think), "If they bring us any more food I'm burning this place to the ground." And of course, every bit of this food was paired with a fabulous wine from their estate. That monastery is filled with bottles of delicious chianti classico, tignanello, barolo, and more. It was amazing. It was excessive. I loved it all. It wasn't cheap, but it was worth it.
