The owner stopped by our table to ask if everything was ok & if we liked the food etc. I highly recommend this place over the restaurant that previously occupied this space. From the outside it looks like any other shopping center Tex-Mex restaurant, but that is where just like any other stops. As soon as you walk through the door the staff is treating you with great customer service. And then the chips come out. Fresh thin chips with a perfect crispy bite, you can tell they did not come out of a bag. I ordered a combo that had cheese, shredded chicken, and fajita beef enchiladas. The plate came out with the visual appeal of a high end restaurant. The first enchilada I bit into was the fajita beef. The balance of the tender beef and cheese was perfect, you got the taste of all the flavors in every bite. The shredded chicken covered in the verde sause and white cheese and then the cheese enchilada in the chili con carne sauce were both equally as delicious. The food is very good. Enchiladas Verdes are excellent for my pallet. The chicken is very good. I've also had carne asada and though it was awesome too. I like their chips and salsa and white queso. Rita's is just down the road from home so we come here often, maybe too often! The wife and I always start with one of Javier's famous margaritas. Jumbo of course... I always check out their specials... they have Biria Tacos which are pretty darn amazing. The Mrs. usually gets the Fish Tacos. Halfway through dinner we order another round of margaritas while we finish up. Once done we order flan to share for dessert and a couple Mexican coffees to help clear up the eyes for the short drive home. With any luck I'm sure we'll see you there! read more

We went here for the first time today. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The decor was simple and to the point which was fine with us. I always say with Mexican restaurants, the less extravagant the decor the better the food. I had the fajitas for one and the meat was super tender and seasoned well. The corn tortillas are made in house and super moist and thick. We had plans for Mexican dinner this Saturday at another place and immediately changed our location to Rita's. read more

OMG Chef Javier and wife Judy have hit the mark on great TexMex. When I read they were located in Pinehurst I wasn't sure I wanted to drive that far. It's just on the north side of Tomball on 249 so glad I decided to give them a try. I judge almost all texmex restaurants by their crispy tacos. Their's were so good. Just like I made them at home. I ordered the Red Chilequilles with 2 fried eggs. The dish was awesome. Usually something off but not these. Plenty of sauce. Very cheesy. Chips were fried to perfection and my eggs draped over them like a ooey gooey masterpiece. Judy was so nice to come and check on me to make sure everything was awesome and it was. I could see Chef Javier moving about the restaurant going over every detail. They truly love what they do and it shows in the love they put in to their work. I'm going back to try the highly recommended tamales and saw other items I must try. They also gave me a free churros desert. What a great way to end the best TexMex I've had in a very long time. Rita's can't be beat! I don't know what it is that they do different from the rest, but their food is A-FRIGGIN-MAZING! Seriously, hands down the best Mexican food I've had...and I've had it a lot! Get the fajitas, get the enchiladas, get the tamales, heck get it all! You won't be disappointed! You MUST get dessert. I recommend the fried ice cream (soooo dang good) and the QUATRO Leches. Went to Rita's trying to find the best menudo after moving into the area, and hit the jackpot! Tried their Fiesta Skillet for the best choice of chorizo (not greasy and tasted of beef), papas (well toasted cubes) and scrambled eggs atop it. And then to have a bowl of menudo with jalapeno/oregano/cebolla had a rich (not watery) chili broth. All the best for a chilly morning! We had the Chile Relleno & Enchiladas, both with Charo Beans and Corn Tortillas. The food was Very good and deserves 4 stare except for the Torillas, which need more time on the griddle. They were almost "doughy" inside. The waitresses were friendly and we were seated, provided drinks, and orders taken in short order. Drinks & Chips refilled in a timely matter. After that, things seemed to slow down. I understand that they pride themselves of fresh prepared dishes, but it seemed like our order took a long time to come up and the 2 plates came out 2-3 minutes apart (I noted the same at another table). While we were waiting, 2 tables that placed orders after us, received their meals. Once we had finished eating, I had to request to-go boxes and our check Twice and still took approx 5 minutes. When we arrived, there were 3 tables seated (9-10 patrons) and 1/2 filled by the time we left. This is my 3rd visit and I will come back for the food and maybe my service will improve because from observations, the "Regulars" do appear to get better service. read more

My family loves Rita's we moved to Magnolia a few months ago and found this place really quickly. Our go to favorite is fajitas for the family, they are amazing, come with grilled onions and bell peppers, the refried beans are great and rice. The tortilla are home made and delicious.
