She told me she would get dresses in January for the next season. They took the measurements and ordered the dress many sizes larger than I thought I needed. I expressed concern and they said "we know what we are doing - bridal sizing is different". Well it is now June and I have my dress. It falls off me. . . It is at least three sizes too big. No, I have not lost enough weight for this to happen. I had already decided not to have them alter the dress because I just wasn't comfortable but now will end up paying hundreds of dollars in alterations to be able to wear it. I might just look for something else but time is getting tight now. Very disappointed. There are other places.

After lots of searching, I settled on a dress I felt would work for me even if it wasn't perfect. Two days before the wedding, a friend suggested an alternation that would transform it into the perfect gown but I knew it was too late. I called every tailor I knew but no one was willing to help. With 24 hours to go, Abby returned my call. She opened her shop and within an hour, had the alterations done. She could have charged me anything but only charged for the hour's work! My son picked up the dress and handed it off to me at the rehearsal dinner a few hours later. The dress was beautiful and the next day was great! There are no seamstresses left like Abby. No wonder she has such a great reputation.
