Fantastic service from the time you walk in the door! You are greeted by an amazing smiling and friendly host Donna. She gets you seated and answers any questions you have and makes you feel comfortable. I got the shredded beef chimichanga with Macho sauce, it was to die for. Perfectly cooked shredded beef wrapped in a perfectly cooked tortilla with amazing macho sauce enveloped all around. I couldn't stop eating it but saved enough to bring home so my son could try it. The waitress Kaley was friendly and very attentive. You can tell the food was prepared with care and love. I like supporting local family restaurants and this is definitely a hidden gem! the service is absolutely the worst - extremely short staffed and was initial told 10-15 min wait which then turned into an additional 15 min wait and then an additional 20 to be served.this is the second time I've tried them and it worse than the first which I couldn't believe. This was by far the worst service and Mexican food I've ever experienced. Empty restaurant and yet it took forever to get drinks. The food was bland and completely lacking in flavor. Canned Hormel chili would be better than the chili I was served. The food was also cold. Only two tables in the whole place and cold food? Kid's taco was served with a tiny side of rice and the other one who ordered fries got about 10 fries. My burrito was horrible and dry so I ordered some of the macha sauce just to jazz it up. $3.50 for a little bowl of what was clearly canned queso. The only reason we ate what we did was because we were hungry. To add insult to injury the prices are ridiculous. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences ever. Going to Taco Bell and buying a whole bottle of quality tequila would have been cheaper and better. read more

I left a review on Facebook and the owner or whoever runs their FB page wanted to keep going back and forth with me. I had to stop responding to his/her comments to just make it stop! Hence, the 1 star. Would have given it 2 stars if I didn't feel attacked on social media for leaving an honest review (which leaving a review is something I seldom do). Looooong wait for 3 meals. Over an hour for fajitas and tacos. $11 for a "top shelf" margarita served in a small martini glass filled with ice. Huge bowl of queso with about 20 chips to eat it with. Waitress never asked if we'd like more nor did she offer to pack up the leftover for us to take home (and eat with a bag of our own chips?) Posted a photo of the queso on FB and told since you can see someone eating a chip in the photo - my description may not be an accurate depiction of what we were served. Umm, ok? My son was grabbing a chip as I took a photo to share with a friend about how pathetic our ($9) appetizer looked. Not sure what benefit I would get out of hiding chips just to make the photo look as sad as it does. But, sure, Rita's when you don't like honesty start bashing the customer. That's a great way to get someone to come back in! Ambiance - none. There are lamps above the tables. That's it for decoration in the dining room. I guess the bar is nice, but I wasn't there to sit at the bar and judging from the one drink I had... We went Friday night, I get that they are newly opened, but it's been a few weeks now. Below are what we experienced: 1. No atmosphere at all the place is dimly lit, not decorated and very loud. 2. Service was horrible, no drink menus at the tables at all 3. "Queso" was a tan/orange color and was extremely salty, served with store bought chips 4. Chips were served in a plastic basket with no liner, were store bought and stale 5. Owner, or relatives of the owner were parked at a table in the bar drinking the entire 2 hours we were stuck there. 6. Chicken quesadilla was served with dried out shredded chicken, and had raw onions and peppers in it? No sour cream or salsa or anything with it. It wasn't even cut when it arrived. 7. Steak fajitas were actually pretty good, however they weren't served with a cold plate of cheese, lettuce, sour cream or anything. 1 star for the steak All in all it was not a very pleasant experience and we won't be back. read more

This is one of my favorite Mexican spots in NH. My husband didn't believe me, but after his first trip he was hooked. The enchiladas are his absolute favorite, I'm a huge fan of the pork Colorado (especially while I've been pregnant!) Highly recommend! Every time we are in the area, we stop in! They also have great margaritas, the queso is delicious (my husband talks about it often) and the fajitas are an ongoing favorite as well! read more

Having lived in the southwest, the food here is just OK. The salsa and chips are sus - store bought? Good taco salad and the prices are reasonable. The only reason I don't go more is the bar service is painfully slow. Unfortunately, I go next door more often (Chinese food) for the only reason the service is quicker. read more

Rita's is, by far, the best Mexican restaurant in the area. The food is flavorful and delicious (especially with macho sauce; it's similar to enchilada sauce but even better), the servers are always friendly and helpful (Kaley is the best, but everyone is great), and the prices are definitely worth it for the quality. I'm confused by the negative reviews that I've read on here, because my experiences at this restaurant have never been anything but positive. Save your hard earned $$. This was one of the most disgusting meals we ever gotten. If you don't mind paying $9 for a quesadilla with dried out, over cooked shreds of what looked like but didn't taste like chicken that had no taste whatsoever ... enjoy! They opened at 4 so I thought 4:30 would be a good time to show up. It was packed! 10 minute wait for a table not bad. Luckily 4 seats opened up at the bar so we sat there. As soon as we sat down we were immediately asked what we wanted to drink. We didn't have a chance to look at the drink menu first but that's good the service is so attentive. Salsa and chips were brought over right after. Salsa was delicious and the perfect amount of hotness, chips were a little too thin for my liking, but still tasty. The first Margarita I ordered was the cheapest one, had to order an extra Patrón shot for it, no big deal. The second one I ordered was the, 'Cadillac' (which is the most expensive) it was perfect. I ordered the Mr. Burrito because other reviewers on FB had mentioned how amazing it was, and they were right, it was Phenomenal! I almost wanted to get another one to take home with me haha. My friend had ordered the Chicken Taco Salad, she said it was very good. She could only eat half of it because it was so big! I felt I was obligated to make a positive review on here, my first experience was very good, and I'll definitely be back again. I didn't want to like this place due to some history with the location, but i did like it. This is Little Mexico v2.0. its the same menu and what they did well in the past is the same now. I had the Verde pork which was excellent as well as the Queso dip. just as i remembered it. the place is a little tight and just like most places around here, it is loud when there is a crowd. there service was attentive and the food was good. Prices are not too bad either. I will be back but i will still be missing my previous haunt. read more

Went on a Saturday night for date night and were promptly greeted by the hostess. We were sat at a table and the waitress very promptly asked for our drink order. We asked for waters and a minute to look over the menu. The top of the menu reads: "Ritas Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar". They have quite a few margaritas on their drink menu, but other than that it's listed with beers. All of the margaritas listed contained very sweet ingredients like Midori and Pucker. One of us chose the House Margarita on the rocks with salt and the other chose a Skinny Margarita (seemed like the freshest option) with Anejo tequila. The waitress asked for a repeat of the second drink order. She then brought us a cardboard handwritten list of their liquors, none under the Tequila section listed the differences between Blancos, Repasados, or Anejos so we asked to see their selection behind the bar. No Anejo tequila in the entire 20+ selection of liquor bottles displayed. May I mention that they are located directly next to a liquor store? I chose a tequila and the drinks arrived almost immediately. The House Margarita was definitely premixed, watered down, and full of sugar. The Skinny Margarita was made with a prebottled simple syrup and bottled lime juice. For food we ordered Taquitos, Tamales, a Chicken Quesadilla, and an Enchilada. While waiting for our food, we witnessed an employee being reprimanded within ear shot of our table, which was a bit uncomfortable. A few minutes later the waitress asked us if she had served us with chips and salsa yet. We stated that we had not received them and she apologized and then served us. The chips did not seem freshly made, they were cold and very bland. The salsa, if made there, had been sitting for a very long time because it was over salted and did not taste fresh. Our food arrived half way through eating our chips and was visually appealing. The beef in the taquitos was not seasoned well. The chicken in the quesadilla was completely unseasoned. The tamale and enchilada were covered in a "macho" sauce, which was the saving grace of the meal because it was quite delicious. The guacamole that came as a side on the taquitos was over salted and lacking lime juice. We then ordered the fried ice cream for desert. It came out as two scoops of vanilla ice cream, topped with honey and cinnamon in a bowl shaped fried tortilla. It was a bit difficult to break up to eat and was definitely not what we were expecting. When we finished the waitress exclaimed "I'm glad you ate the bowl, most people don't know to do that!". As an aside, I waited until the day after to write this review to make sure that no one fell ill. No food poisoning from last night's visit which is the ONLY reason I gave this restaurant a second star. read more

Food was less than desirable. Took over 30 minutes to get an enchilada. The chips taste like they are store-bought. The queso reminds me of nothing but melted Velveeta cheese with no flavor. Pandemic takeout... Decided to stop over and place an order during the pandemic. As we pulled into the parking lot, ready to place our order by phone we noticed the plaza fire alarm is going off. We went to the door and were able to place an order by what looked like an overwhelmed woman with plenty of slips in front of her! She told us it would be at least 45 minutes for our order to be packed up for takeout. 45 minutes later our food was ready....when we got at home. It was hot and delicious. Surprised, that despite all the calls that they were getting tonight they got our food right and it was really really good just as I remember from their old restaurant little Mexico. Thank you guys for being open tonight everything was great and we can't wait to be back inside with you enjoying a margarita! I was not driving, she said 6 is the max... mind you, no hard liquor shots. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. We recently moved to Hampstead and despite all of the terrible reviews decided to just give this place a shot. Bad idea. It is run by a bunch of rude 16 year olds who are sitting on their phones and talking to their friends. The drinks we ordered ( tequila and pineapple juice) were absolutely terrible, served in a giant glass with maybe a splash of tequila. We expressed our dissatisfaction to our waitress and she didn't seem to care. We also asked for an extra shot of patron to put in ourselves and she just didn't respond and walked away .... after looking at the menu and seeing about 10 young kids working in the kitchen we decided to leave. This place is great! Food was excellent. We had the queso to start, that cheese is very addicting, we were definitely scraping the bowl clean. Chicken burrito was good, I recommend the macho on top! A couple of rounds of margaritas went perfectly with everything. I had the frozen half and half, which was half traditional and half strawberry and it was the perfect mix. Visited recently. Seated promptly by a friendly host and had a nice polite young waitress. Ordered a chimichanga with macho sauce which was awesome and just what I expected. Husband's burrito and taQuito's were delicious!! My Jamaican style margarita was absolutely the best! I love restaurants that have the option of using lime juice instead of sour mix.
