I love coming to The English Muffin here in Hampstead. It had some of the best breakfast food around with ample parking. Okay let's get to the food.. When I come here I always order the Country Benedict which is two sausage patties on two grilled biscuits topped with sausage gravy... OMG, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it lol. I'm a sucker for great biscuits and gravy and this place gots it! On top of that you can get a side of tator tots which I love along side the gravy. Everything tastes amazing.. Once I'm done with that I get the Cinnamon Roll grilled. It's an oversized roll topped with homemade glaze and it's wonderful. I love cinnamon rolls so this hits hard. The waitress was nice , but unfortunately, she didn't cook my meal. i didnt air my grievance but i was grossed out. no effort was made in the kitchen. i'm thinking while the cats away...bogus meals are born... I don't know how long the toast was sitting out before they decided to butter it, it arrived at my table with a big hunk of butter that never melted. Don't bother to butter cold toast, and re: the broccoli omelette with provolone cheese the provolone cheese never melted. It was a hunk of gunk, there were probably three pieces of broccoli in the entire omelette. no exaggeration. I was so disappointed and the hashbrowns -shredded potatoes had bad old grease taste. tasted like they've been lingering too long. Somebody in the kitchen should taste the food they're putting out. I've come here for years. This was the worst meal yet. don't think I'll be back. There's too many competitors out there. my niece had the vegetable omelette. She had the same problem with her provolone cheese and left her retching gagging, and therr were barely any vegetables in the omelette. Her home fries were old overcooked and inedible. Her toast also had the same wad of butter on it when she left to go home unmelted. it still hadn't melted . and they don't have refills on sodas.That ticked my aunt off. She likes a free refill. The manager and her son were off today. It was a Friday. Maybe it's just an off day but I can't mask my disappointment. It's a shame I used to really enjoy it there.The iced water was OK. I just can't take those old bubble vintage glasses from the 60s .are just nasty My imagination was aflame. my meal was a bummer. overall unpleasantness. too bad I put my toast under the potatoes and egg in an effort to make the butter melt. Nice little hole in the wall breakfast and brunch place. I stopped by here yesterday morning with my friends and their baby and had a great experience. The restaurant itself is small but I liked that they had a mix of seating and we didn't have trouble grabbing a table on a Saturday. They have multiple pairings you can buy hung up. However, I will say they need to wash the walls once in a while- a little dirty. Our waitress was Elisa and she was fantastic. She made us all feel comfortable and made sure to give plenty of attention to the baby. Thanks for making your restaurant so homey! As for the menu there are a ton of options and they were all reasonably priced. For a table of four we all totaled $71. That's a steal! The food was also very good. I had the hash omelet and grilled home fries. Quality was excellent and I liked how the hash was almost melted into the eggs (as you can see in the photo). It's a relatively small place but it's completely filled with patrons, and its very friendly staff was totally overwhelmed. My wife and I had a bit of a wait to be seated. But once we were, it was worth the wait. I had the meat lovers omelet (no cheese) and added kielbasa. Flavor in every bite! The toast was good but a touch under-buttered for my taste but that's a personal thing. The shredded hash browns were perfectly cooked. Brown on top and cooked all the way through. My wife had the Florentine Benedict. It had plenty of spinach and the eggs were fine but the hollandaise sauce was a touch pasty. She got fruit with it that was very fresh and plentiful. Dad's not an early riser so our breakfast was more of a brunch. Weren't sure how long they serve breakfast, but the menu has both breakfast and lunch items. We were told to seat ourselves when we walked in and chose a table in a sunny corner. Lovely. It took a little while for the waitress to come over with menus. The place was quite full, even on a week day, late morning. There seemed to be one waitress working the entire dining area and one working the counter but when I asked she assured me there were two waitresses working the dining room. The tables are close together and based on the weekday occupancy, I can understand why. Just be considerate of bumping into your neighbor. This is a family friendly restaurant with good breakfast options. I had a breakfast feast with pancakes, eggs, muffin and fruit which they allowed me to substitute for bacon. They don't have any 'pork alternative' breakfast meats (like turkey bacon or corned beef for example) so I was happy to have a fruit option. My eggs were well cooked, the pancakes tasty, my tea steeped in a pot (yea!). The restrooms are straight across from the entrance. Small, single person restrooms. I wasn't too sure the lock on the ladies room would hold so I made quick work of it. There is no baby changing station in this small space. Located in a shopping plaza there was a good amount of parking. Located right on the roadside it was easy to find. read more

We had a great bkfst here last week on our way to a winery. Sat right down at noon and decided to split the bkfst sandwich w bacon which comes with a side of potato (good deal at around $6). We got delicious hash browns (will order these every chance I get) and also split a single pancake. It was the perfect amount of food for two hungry gals. Nice service good prices. Did takeout from here. They didn't add maple syrup to the French toast order. Called them in the hopes they would try to make it right somehow. They just said you have to ask for it but usually they'll ask the customer if they want it. I said no one asked and they just said "sorry..." Seems like an odd way to treat customers. We love coming here occasionally on the weekends for breakfast. The food is great and it comes out quick. They always have some type of corn bread as a special, and every one I have had is delicious. I have been living in Hampstead for over 6 years. It's a small town and not many options for breakfast places. I have given the English Muffin chance after chance and they seem to never get it right! No fail, every time I order my food, I have to send it back because it was not made how I ordered it. After awhile, it gets frustrating. Today I ordered a sandwich and I had to send it back because there was a hair in my food and it wasn't cooked all the way and I was given an attitude by the server. I have decided I won't be going back. It's not like I am asking for crazy requests! Eggs always come sunny side up and runny when I ask for over medium. Order dry toast and it comes saturated with butter. Ask for bacon and home fries well done and you will get the opposite every time. Either the cook doesn't care or the server isn't writing the order correctly but it has happened so many times that I am starting to really wonder if they even care! read more

I honestly don't know how I haven't reviewed my FAVORITE breakfast spot yet. My boyfriend and I go a couple times a month, I'd go once a week if he'd let me. I always get a quiche (scrumptious) and shredded hashbrowns, which are relatively new to their menu within the last year or so. My boyfriend loves their sausage links and stands by the 222. I was really hungry and wanting breakfast food the day we went. It was a little out of the way, but they had no wait and the reviews were good! Once we got there, we waited for them to wipe down a table and sat us within 5 minutes. Gotta say the service was excellent! Our server was extremely cheery and bubbly and was helpful when we were indecisive on what we both wanted! Our food came and even tho we were both really hungry, the food was excellent!
