Just like previous reviews, absolutely rude pharmacist staff. Lying and then when caught in her lies tries to tell me about respect. Then when I call her out about being rude she says " you get what you give". I'm not sure why they keep this person on staff. It is causing this Rite Aid to lose business. Go to CVS, super nice and helpful staff there. Aubrey B. There is no need to chat with customer support. You can pull the recorded phone call and listen to how your employee spoke with the customer. We are leaving Rite Aid and taking our business elsewhere because as consumers we are being hustled out of serious prescription dollars that feels like a SCAM. When any of us use services like Single Care and acquire coupons specifically valid at Rite Aid it feels like a BAIT-and-SWITCH when you try to use them. The customer is given an Authorization #/Bin#/Group# from Single Care, but then is asked for an NCS# when at the pharmacy counter. The customer asks, "what's an NCS? The products are identical, right? The Phramisist replies"yes, they are, but my NCS code is different and therefore I can't offer you the coupon price even though it is Rite Aid approved..., but I can offer our internal NCS discount." Guess what? The final price difference between the two NCS#s is almost 400%!!! A tube of Athletes foot cream for $110+ vs $31.51 Single Care price. People should think about a CLASS ACTION SUIT to stop this price kind of gauging. Meanwhile, we live in town where there are other choices in Pharmacy's, and are taking our business elsewhere read more

I have finally had it with this place. It's around the corner from my house and I have had all of my family's prescriptions there for at least 10 years. You just never know what you are going to get with customer service here. I mean literally not even asking for help with anyone, just picking up prescriptions at the pharmacy and a few things with the cashiers up front. I have back problems so I try to get in and out as quickly as possible; on a bad day like tonight I'm leaning on the cart for dear life and gritting through the pain. I tried to enter my stupid phone number both at the pharmacy desk and up front, both times the #4 did not work. I am not a crazy person, I have worked retail and understand POS systems. The front lady scolded me and I asked her 3 times to please just enter it on her end and she refused 3 times. I finally got my son to do it, meanwhile we were holding up the entire line. I got upset and frustrated and was in pain but I was not rude, but I was not happy. Hey retail folks: I know it's a tough time to deal with customer rudeness, but that doesn't exempt you from doing very basic customer service. This is just the latest of very difficult dealings with this store over many years. Again, I have back problems and a child with a disability so I literally changed our prescriptions over to them because of their drive-thru. Well, that was like the elusive McDonald's ice cream machine, it never worked. Tonight I called Walgreens in my mother's town, 20 miles away because they have always been great when I picked up her prescriptions. I'd rather drive there and make a day of it than deal with rite aid CdM ever again. Btw, if I'm ever desperate for something I can't find on Amazon, I'll go to the Bayside location. I'm really not sure how or why this store has gotten such terrible reviews or why some people here are so angry using rude ways to talk about the people here. I can only assume most of them are taking narcotics and are upset that the pharmacy is following protocols to make sure they are not taking more than the necessary dosing. I actually drive 20 minutes to go to this pharmacy. I love the entire staff because they are intelligent, kind and efficient. Not only that but this pharmacy and store is spotless. Everything is in order and the pharmacists are always working so hard and diligently. The technicians are amazing as well as the entire staff that I've had the pleasure of interacting with. I have also seen the staff find ways to help other patients lower the costs of some of their meds if they don't have insurance. If you want to stay alive and know there is a great team looking after you, do yourself a favor and come to this pharmacy. read more

Yesterday, I went to RiteAid in 3141 East Coast High Way Corona Del Mar I went to exchange hair color, although I had the receipt, the cashier(Rosa) gave me hard time. when I ask why do I have to put my phone number five times and also show my driver license when I have the receipt, she said to me "you are rude" I was shucked, I said excuse me? she replied "you are rude" I said can I talk to your manager? she said I am the manager. I asked the other cashier, who is the manager? she said Peter. I tried to find Peter but he was on his lunch break. I Called the store today and asked to talk to the manager, Randy Riese, the manager, said he is aware of the situation, and made up stories that could be my fault as well as Rosa.I felt not that I was ignored but also insulted. I hope the RiteAide area manager read this. I give this store only one star, and that goes to the other young cashier who was the witness and also helpful. read more

Have generally had great service at the Corona Del Mar store on Pacific Coast Highway. When I went there tonight, there appeared to be 2 new staff members: one a cashier and the other one who was checking out refrigerated and frozen foods, and nearby areas. The cashier was prompt and respectful. The other person was annoying to customers, as he limited access to items as opened refrigerated and frozen food doors and poked around inside each for no visible reason. He was neither re-stocking nor checking inventory. Honestly, he appeared to be pretending to be busy and move a few things around in ways that were useless rather than doing real work. This Rite Aid location is ok. It's not very large, so the selection suffers. However, it's location worked well for me while staying near Crytstal Beach. My shopping experience was solely for a thermometer for a sick child. They had a few of those to choose from and the prices were fine. It's just a small drug store with the basics. She asked me if I wanted text updates which was thoughtful and kindly listened to my questions and concerns. She seems like a really compassionate person who genuinely cares about other people. She also kindly and thoughtfully reminded me that I need to update my insurance card information and at the end one more sweet time because she probably could vibe I am totally A.D.D. I recently got on medication and this pharmacy is giving business a bad rep already. My thoughts and opinions on meds aren't my own but I don't like them necessarily to begin with. But sometimes in life you have to get some help. In speaking of help, the pharmacist here was not only very rude but also seemed very evil. No joke. She said my insurance didn't cover my medication when I know for 100% fact it did. I was very concerned and needed my medication so I downloaded this app to get a coupon instead for my medication so I can afford it. I then proceed to go back to fill my prescription and she looks at me like I'm some kind of crook trying to steal meds from her? She complied with my coupon and I thank god it worked. Then when they said it was ready I go back and she tells me with this devilish look in her eye I have to wait till tomorrow to get my medication though. Very very wrong, a person like this should NOT be over the counter and in charge of our medication for our mental health!!! I will be filing a complaint and hoping to get this individual fired from this profession because she obviously does not have the best interest of the people! read more

Very convenient location for me, but after this week's experience, I'm going to take my business elsewhere after 5+ years. I called Monday at about noon to get a refill on a prescription that I am supposed to take every Saturday morning. They said they would call my doctor's office by the next business day to get more refills. By Thursday, I still hadn't heard and called them again. They said "oh, it looks like the doctor's office never called us back." I explained that I needed the refill by Friday so I could take the med on Saturday morning (first thing on an empty stomach). So, they said they would call again and call me back Friday morning. No call. So I called them again, and they said they still hadn't heard back, but would try again (that is really weird because my doctor's office can't be that hard to reach). At any rate, the guy who handled Friday's call was good and he called me back as promised and indeed had connected with the doctor's office and refilled the Rx, and I could pick it up any time until they close at 10pm. By this time, I had a dinner engagement to get to in Laguna, so, afterward, I had to race up to Rite Aid. I called and said I was racing there, and per Waze was going to arrive at 10:00pm exactly. The woman in the pharmacy said that if I missed 10pm exactly, they would close the doors. Ok, I raced there and got there at 9:58pm. Rear door by the pharmacy was already locked (!). I ran around to the front, and my iPhone (World Clock, so it's accurate) said 9:59pm. Door locked!! I saw the apparent manager and said it's 9:59 and showed him the time displayed on my phone. He said "Nope, we're closed." I said it's not 10pm, it's 9:59 and I have to pick up a prescription. He said "we're closed", and walked away, ignoring me. If you close at 10pm, you have to be open at 9:58pm. If you want to close early, list your closing time at 9:55pm. And if you want to treat your customers like a burden, then you won't have that burden for very long. I certainly won't "burden" the staff at this Rite Aid anymore. Avoid!! read more

After double checking with my doctor I am 100% positive the error is on their side. I am (or should I say was) a regular customer at the pharmacy here. I recently went to the drive thru pharmacy and had to wait for 30 minutes. Three. Zero. It was not due to the fact that there were a lot of people in front of me. There was one. It took them thirty minutes to help her. I had to use my whole lunch break waiting because they are understaffed and/or lazy. This was a one time experience but it was enough to deter my business from them in the future. read more

Everyone is so helpful and personable, especially their pharmacist Christopher - who always remembers my name, has personally called my physicians and insurance companies whenever he notices I'm being overcharged and has even taken it upon himself to coordinate my refill schedule so that all prescriptions are available for pick-up at the same time - just for my convenience! Pharmacist and pharmacy staff are friendly and competent, but store management is extremely poor, and managers and employees often have difficulty with very basic issues such as returns, or customer service. I have also experienced rude and unfriendly behavior, but primarily from the managers, not the employees, so better training is needed from corporate office, and that would have a positive influence on the employees as well. It is a smaller Rite Aid, so not as much of a selection as a larger one, and some of the regular items that I purchase are often out of stock, but location is convenient for me, and I'm perfectly happy with getting my prescriptions filled there. read more

Great pharmacy. The pharmacist and staff are much nicer and better trained than at the rite aid on bayside. The pharmacist at that location sold me the wrong type of pseudoephedrine (sudafed) and would not exchange it an hour later even though it was their fault! They also told me other incorrect information. That same day I went to this rite aid. They immediately helped me exchange the product, and gave me the correct information on it's duration and what it would interact with. They also said "we hope you feel better soon" as I was leaving. Lines are much shorter here too. I will always go here instead of the bayside rite aid from now on!! read more

The pharmacists do a great job, they care about you and ask if you pick up your meds late if you're okay, if you missed a dose etc. There is always the smallest line for the pharmacy vs any other store in town and there is a great selection now on wine and packaged Foods. I hear the ice cream is great. The employees have worked there for a long time and they care about the customers. I don't know why anyone would whine about this Rite Aid. They also have a great points Rewards Club and I get huge huge savings; some of the items are cheaper than buying it at any other store or online! It's a very neighborhoodish experience; they know your name - if you smile and ask them their names you'll have a lovely place to shop where they will help you all the time. Regarding the person who complained about the drive thru pharmacy, all the people inside have to also be waited on, so often times if you're in your car waiting it's just like you got in line behind everyone inside the store. DONT expect to get taken first! You are in the line! read more
