This pharmacy is the absolute worst. They don't even deserve 1 star. The auto refill never works. Either they don't process it or you get multiple refills of same medications in one month. You get text messages saying your medications are ready when in fact they are not. What's worse is they have refilled an old dosage of a medication rather than the most recently prescribed dosage. I gave them multiple chances to get their act together and finally gave up and moved back to CVS. Oh and of course when they transferred my prescriptions to CVS they gave them the wrong dosage after I specifically asked them to remove that dosage from the system since it was not current. Location convenience does not outweigh constant frustration. read more

The worse experience I have yet to deal with. I called this pharmacy and advised them that I needed my prescription transferred from a different pharmacy to their pharmacy. They told me that they can only provide me with one medication but not the other because the old pharmacy already filled up a partial order (they were out of the quantity of medication needed). I requested that they cancel my previous order and prescribe a new one. After arguing with the technician I was put on hold for a long time. I decided to hang up and go to the old pharmacy. Several minutes later I get a call was told that they "played" with system And that I can go back and pick up the medication. At This point it was too late I had to go out of my way and travel to the old pharmacy. This was the most unprofessional pharmacy I have yet to deal with. Rather than helping the patient/customer (who was actually correct) they turned him away. read more

Friendly staff here and I'm most definitely a regular! Always coming here for the famous Rite-Aid ice cream lol and whenever I need to pick up small little shopping items. This Rite Aid Pharmacy staff is great because of how they assist you. They INITIATE taking the steps needed to get you what you need. I have a monthly prescription I need filled - They keep it on order, so I dont have to wait for them to order it each month. Once, not having enough in stock. Lylia not only offered to call the Alton Store to see if they had it, but she called me every step of the way, to keep me informed of what needed to be done to get it filled. She is conscientious, courteous and professional. Unfortunately, this type of service is rare to find but it is definitely appreciated when you do. Not a group of highly energetic, very personable people, but for a pharmacy, I would much prefer demure and competent than sweet and unreliable. read more

I normally would not bother with reviewing a chain pharmacy, but this location is so terrible as to warrant it. Without fail, regardless of customer volume, the service is incredibly slow, and the staff is either not well trained, or doesn't understand the concept of opening those habitually closed other two registers. read more

I came back Saturday and they informed me it wasn't ready and will be ready on Monday. I came back Monday and no one knew what was this about. I have never in my life been as disgusted with a human being as I am at this moment with Asst. Manager 'Michael Diggins' and I sincerely hope he is terminated after corporate reviews his unprofessional and deplorable behavior! I came in this evening (1/19/16) to purchase a specialty lip product that I learned was only sold at this Rite Aid location. The makeup aisle itself as well as the particular section where my brand was located was unstocked and a complete mess. I was forced then to rummage through the various misplaced glosses and lipsticks and struggled in vain to locate my product. I began testing comparable products in the section hoping to find one that matched the color/texture of the original when out of nowhere I hear a loud voice scream at me from the register, "Oh so you just gon' come on in here and try everything on then huh?????" in front of a huge line of people! I turned around shocked, half-smiling assuming he must have been joking and quickly realizing he was serious, I replied that yes I was trying on the tester products which are there for the sole purpose of TESTING the products; I asked if he had a problem with that to which he replied that he DID! Mind you we are 30 feet away from each other so at this point it's a very awkward shouting match as customers wait in line to pay. He yells back, "yup I been watching you tryin them things and then tossin' em back.." Mind you, he is shouting this to me when I'm 30 ft away, with a line full of customers waiting to pay! Besides being ridiculously RUDE, talk about your priorities as an Asst. Manager! I insist to him that tester products are for testing and I should not be villainized for that especially when the store is not stocked with the product I NEED! I tell him that the 'tossing' he claims is because products are NOT in their proper places and half of the section is unstocked! To reiterate, this exchange is happening from mid-aisle to front-register, as several customers witness his behavior and are clearly appalled. I even had a woman approach me in the parking lot after the incident saying she couldn't believe what happened. Perhaps Michael was having a rough day, or maybe he wanted to assert dominance over his store and 'his' products, in any case it bothered this man SO much that I was trying on a dang lipstick, that he made a spectacle in front of at least 15 people! I put the product I was about to purchase down and took pictures of the sloppy and poorly stocked section so I could send it to the manufacturer (I also happen to work for the brand in question). I approached the register to ask why the makeup aisle was like that in the first place and he shouts that it's not his "department"! I said I'm sorry Michael but you are an "Asst. Manager" so every department is YOUR department! At this point I ask to get his information so I can file a corporate complaint and he tells me and I quote, "Yo MOMMA!" I'm not joking! This ASSISTANT MANAGER replied YO MOMMA to me in response to a request for his superior's information. He then came out from behind the cash register and approached as if he was going to attack me! With witnesses everywhere I backed up toward the exit and said don't you dare touch me. RITE AID I suggest you check your security cameras (5:30pm - 6:30pm) as this man clearly harassed and ATTACKED me, first verbally then physically. I felt threatened, scared and am extremely traumatized. I fear for the safety and well-being of any female that enters this rite aid while Michael Diggins is employed there. read more

Rite Aid is Rite Aid to me. There aren't many things that can be horrible about it, but there also aren't many things that are amazing. The only reason I would give an A-OK is because of the ice cream. I'm not a big sweets person but when I want ice cream, Rite Aid is the place to go. Other than that, there's really no reason for me to come to Rite Aid because I live way closer to a bunch of CVS and Targets. read more

When I get my prescriptions, a screen always displays asking me to choose between two alternatives: (1) "I decline to be counseled by the pharmacist, or" (2) "I have been counseled by the pharmacist concerning the medicine I have received." Since they have never OFFERED me any counseling, unless I've had an original prescription, neither is usually true! When I tell the cashier that neither choice is true, s/he goes to the pharmacist. The pharmacist invariably asks me if I have gotten the medicine before, as if to say that if you've gotten a medication before, you must not need counsel. The pharmacists' demeanor is generally one of annoyance. More than once, the cashier have chosen, "I decline to be counseled by the pharmacist," rather than wait for me. read more
