ZERO stars. I have had 3 months of problems getting my prescription filled, and it's always a different excuse. Juliette is VERY rude, and unprofessional. She hung up on my 3 times when I was trying to get info and ask a question. She then had the nerve to try to send me to San Pedro or Rolling Hills AFTER I asked her for another pharmacy in LONG BEACH that could help me. I am disabled, and do not drive. I asked her how I am supposed to get out there. She said Uber or a taxi. Juliette, give me your credit card number and I will do so. She offered to call my doctor and change the meds. NO, I have taken the same thing for 12 years. No need, other than incompetence by this person. Anyway, she also lied and said it's not being produced anymore. LIE! I call Walgreens, and they have plenty in stock, and they're not far from my house. I will NEVER come back to this store if that's how they treat people. Basic drug store...nothing special. My husband went in with his sister (who has Down Syndrome) and was basically ignored by the entire staff when people were being asked if they need help right next to him. Pretty standard when we go out with his sister, but still sucks when it happens. read more

Worst Pharmacy ever. Worst customer service. Do not use their automated system. Although you are given a confirmed time to pick up your subscription, it is never ready. If there is a delay and they have to order medication, they never call you so you come in and wait to pick up medicine that is not available. From the manager on down, there is zero customer customer. When asked, their employee Toks said they have 500 prescriptions to fill and cannot be bothered to call anyone. read more

I have been doing business with this particular Rite Aid for about 10 years & never had a reason to write a view, good or bad till now. This is the bad. Recently they have (and that is very recently) they have had a uniformed security guard in the store and as of today a security "guy" with just that written across his t-shirt...that I will get to in a moment. I went in today to buy a few sundries and realized that as I was leaving the check out that I had forgotten to look for a wallet. I had not physically left the store at that point and headed back down the aisle where i recalled I had seen wallets before...no luck. I went back up to the cashier and she directed me to where to go (I had simply walked past the display)...anyway, got the wallet paid for it and headed out of the store. Ok here is where the "security" guard comes into play...I was inside the the double sliding doors where they have Halloween stuff on display and I saw something that caught my eye...just a caveat, I had already spent $26 or so bucks already when I hear a voice...more of a mumble since I couldn't understand and it's this security guy "kind of" beckoning to me. I was a little dumbfounded but came to conclusion that he wanted me to come back into the store...sure enough, he did. Did I mention that I have been coming into this store for the past 10 years? NEVER EVER have I been stopped at the door for ANYTHING. So now he wants to look in my bag! I have my receipts of course and put the bag at his feet and suggest he have himself a look, which he wouldn't do OR bother to look at the receipts...the bag part I get, the receipts no. He hadn't stopped anyone else that I was aware of...and honestly if he was any "kind" of security of all he might have noticed me at the checkout not once but twice. (Did I mention the fact that while he was pissing off a steady, profit generating customer....namely me...Mr. Security with all his detective skills had failed to notice the foul smelling bum that he should have noticed from 10 feet away without looking at him who was sitting in front of the store driving away more customers?)...anyway.... I was just a little angry at this point and called for the manager...I complained loudly (I was humiliated!)...but he didn't seem willing to address the issue. When I made it clear that I didn't plan on stepping foot in the store again, his response: Have a good evening! To sum up, the manager needs to get a spine and it's obvious that the "security" got his credentials out of a cracker jack box (they still have that?). ;-) I am happy to NOT recommend that store to anyone, avoid it...there are plenty of other drug stores to go into in Long Beach...go put your money into them... read more

Came to the store on a weekday morning. The store was almost empty. I was looking for a specific item in the many drug related isles. Two employees were speaking to each other in one of the aisles and they saw that I was obviously looking for something. Neither of them asked me if they could help me. I didn't want to interrupt them, so I kept looking. I was one aisle away from them and heard part of their conversation. One said, I had a dream that night that I was working at Rite Aid. The other side, that wasn't a dream, that was a nightmare. Kinda cute, but don't talk like that in hearing distance of customers. I found my item and went to the check out line. There was one cashier, and I was the next one in line. While waiting, three other customers filed in line behind me. It was obvious that the person at the cashier was having some sort of problem paying. After a few minutes, to her credit, the cashier called on the intercom that she needed a manager. After waiting a few more minutes, no manager or another employee came to help the cashier. I ended up leaving the store without my purchase as did at least one other employee. read more

For close to a year now, maybe longer, the pharmacy cannot seem to manage their drug supply adequately. I take a monlthy life-saving drug and every time I order they are out and it is necessary to wait an extra day, or weekend if so be it, until they have the medication. I was at Rite Aid today to try to get my blood pressure prescription filled for the third time. I had been given enough to "hold me over' twice as my physician and his staff failed to respond to them-even though I had called and Rite Aid had called and faxed. Today I went and it still was not filled. Sandra called the doctor's office and very professionally explained that I had been on the medication for some time and if they didn't have it in their records that was not my or Rite Aid;s fault. This was by no means a brief conversation and I was so impressed with her dilgience and concern that I get this very important medication. She always has great smile and is so helpful. Rite Aid is very lucky to have an employee like Sanda-and so am I!!!! read more

This pharmacy is great. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. My meds on auto refill are always ready. I almost never have to wait due to refill needs to be authorized because they forgot to call the dr's office. It's like a small neighborhood drug store. The staff knows the patients names, and they are always cheerful. I couldn't say enough good things about Michael the pharmacy manager/ pharmacist - he's terrific. Not only it took like a decade to get ice cream, I think I got gray hair waiting in line to pay for it. I pretty much ea ted it all while waiting in the longest line ever (wow, Disneyland flashback). The guy in front of me got so tired of waiting, he walked away without paying.. Costumer service? that is something that was not taught to these good-for-nothing employees. Not only there was no cashier up front, but the guy that work there ask one foot to take a step and then ask the other if it could do the same. This is the reason why people shop on the internet more and people loose jobs. Lack of pride on their work. Makes me wonder if this company just hire lazy people to represent them or they don't care about their costumers. Plus, the harassment by the different homeless people is tedious and nerve recking. Worst pharmacy ever. My doctor called my prescription in an hour ago. I show up and I have to wait another hour and a half. This is some BS. This pharmacy needs to get their shit together. I do not know why i bother coming to this place any longer. They need to hire more in the pharmacy or set up a new system. I asked to have a delivery instead and I was told no last delivery of the day just went out. How about this, 3 deliveries a day. One in the morning one at 11 and then one near closing to drop off any prescriptions that may have not been completed earlier in the day? You have 2 working pick up and 2 working drop off. Maybe if they have 15 prescriptions needing to go out and they cant keep up mark the ones after as delivery and let the patients know instead of making them wait close to 2 hours. Or hire someone to handle the drop offs while the other two organize the pills because i waited at the counter close to 10 mins before being helped or acknowledged. read more
