Rating is for staff worker and Rite Aid ice cream cone. First time here. The location is very walkable to McDonald's for fast foods and Lion's grocery store in the same plaza. Plenty of parking spaces available in the parking lot. You can feel the lower income class folks and homeless population at times walking around asking for money in front of retail businesses. There are a few small restaurants options too. This Rite Aid location is easy to spot. Store was spacious to look around and pharmacy is operating. Grocery section is not bad. What I really liked was to be able to find the most Thrifty ice creams here with a huge variety of flavors to choose from. You can buy the 1.5 quart size Thrifty ice cream for $5.99 from the refrigerators, or go for over the counter Rite Aid ice cream which is my favorite. $2.79 for my single scoop cherry ice cream. Yes, plenty of mouth watering flavors to choose from. Delicious and special. Felt like a kid again, but it's no longer under $1 for sure. Two or three scoops would be too much for my appetite. Overall, good customer service at the ice cream counter. You have to pay for it at the cashier area in advance before they can serve you their ice cream. Lady was very helpful. Rite Aid had plenty of aisles to browse around for stuff. It felt empty in some aisles because most products are locked up or low in inventory. I still enjoyed my ice cream experience very much on multiple hot summer days, so I would consider revisiting next time. I'm glad that Thrifty ice cream still exists at this Rite Aid. I usually don't make reviews that often but I HAVE to tell people to steer away from this place. This is right next to my house so it's pretty convenient to go to all the time but not only are they never stocked in anything, but the workers take forever to come assist you with things that are locked up. Customer service is horrible and they are so rude. This isn't just a one time experience. I've had multiple experiences with multiple staff members being rude. On multiple occasions. I waited almost more than TWENTY minutes to get something that was locked. This younger Latina girl saw me waiting for so long and she was just looking at me, smiling when I stared at her. They need to do better, customer service is so so horrible. Customer should be at top priority, please don't come here and save the trouble and just go to target or anywhere else to get whatever you need. read more

I ended up going to this pharmacy because my normal pharmacy, CVS didn't have the medication at any of their locations. I was please that they had what I needed. They are professional, organized and friendly here. They had some questions from my doctor about the dosages and the pharmacist jumped quickly to try to resolve the issue so that I didn't have to wait too long for my medication. She called the doctor while I waited. This dosage issue was resolved and I was able to leave in no time. read more

I came here to look for some Lysol products and walked out right away because of the prices. They were trying to sell me a Lysol spray for $8 and a detergent for $15. I have had a good experience shopping here all the other times before. Several people were helpful in helping me find items and answer my questions about sale items, but after the cashier rang me up and I was about to leave the store, my eight year old daughter noticed that the cashier didn't put the Valentine's kids items I had purchased in the bag. This is unacceptable customer service and if we had left the store, I would have to go back and forth with Rite Aid just to get this issue taken care of, which causes customers to waste their time on explaining what happened and that is an inconvenience to customers. I hope Rite Aid improves this because they do have good items and sales, but need to understand the importance of making sure this doesn't happen to customers! read more

My review is for the pharmacy. I had the worst experience and the Pharmacy Manager, Lam, didn't make it any better. My mom had gone to pick up her medication and Ben was the person who assisted us. We noticed from the very beginning that he was very frustrated but thought he was probably having a bad day and brushed it off. Workers Comp. pays for my mom's medication and the clinic had sent the pharmacy the approval but not the prescription of the medication she needs. My mom called the clinic and passed the phone to Ben. Ben, very frustrated, begins to raise his voice on the phone and provides the fax number to the clinic. While the information was being sent, Ben had told us to go sit down at the waiting area. 15 min past and my mom goes to check if they received the paperwork and calls me over because she wasn't understanding what Ben was telling her. By the time I arrived Ben was already turning red. He kept repeating in a raised voice, "I need the PIN/BIN, what Worker's Comp is paying for this medication?!" My mom and I very confused, decided to call the clinic and passed the phone to Ben again. Ben is now raising his voice in frustration yelling at the phone to the clinic saying, "PIN/BIN!! I need the fu (pause) PIN/BIN!!!" And throws the phone on the table. By now he is holding our documents and throws them on the floor and walks away. He comes back and I ask to speak to the manager. Lam comes over to the counter and completely ignores what happened and tells me, "We need a Pin/Bin number.." I then interrupt her and ask if she even knows why I had ask for her. She then says, "but we need a Pin..." I interrupt her again and begin to tell her what Ben had done. While I was explaining to her, she begins to shuffle through papers on the desk and does not make any eye contact with me. I then pause to see if she would at least make eye contact with me to indicate that I'm being heard. Instead she kept shuffling through papers. I completely felt ignored, my service is just a number and that she approves of the service Ben provided. I then asked her if she could look at me while I tell her of my experience with Ben. But by seeing how the manager is handling the situation, I can see why her employees are ok with yelling and throwing papers on the floor. Turns out, the pharmacist is responsible to call someone from Workers Comp. in order to obtain the Pin/Bin number. I gave the information to Lam and she was able to get the information she needed. When she comes back to the counter she then tells us that Ben spoke to WC, and I had corrected her and said he spoke to the clinic not WC. Lam then says, "Well now we have a line because of you." Well the employees are a reflection of their managers. This Manager needs additional training on customer service. read more

If you're just buying a scoop up at the front then you have to pay for it first n then go get your scoop. Before you could just order your ice cream n then pay after you get it. But nope not anymore. THRIFTY'S REVIEW ONLY. I've always heard people rave about this place but never felt inclined to try it. For some reason I just couldn't wrap myself around the idea that ice cream coming from rite aid would be over the top good. One faithful day, I wondered into the plaza and needed to kill a little time so I finally went in and fell in love. The ice cream is so good AND it's so cheap, like how is this even possible to be that cheap and good?! Anyway dont be the awkward one waiting to be served ice cream at the ice cream counter. You have to get in the normal rite aid line and pay first THEN go back to the ice cream line and show them your receipt, then they'll serve you. We waited around while confused before someone told us. Since I'm the last to join team Thrifty, I'm sure you all already know how great it is so all I want to say is CIRCUS ANIMAL it's legitimately just like the circus animal cookies! You legitimately cannot create a worse customer experience. I've had the pleasure of coming to this particular Rite-Aid, and I remember why I don't come to this part of town. Lines are endless. Correction: single line. There's no good reason a drugstore has a single line during prime hours. Terrible service. I don't even expect service from a drugstore? I've never met a more incompetent cashier who can't manage a store, especially given all the priors. I went here for ice cream. They didn't get it to me even after ten minutes of paying. The cashier could've walked over for ten seconds to grab me a scoop. Didn't. Would I have ever gotten it? God knows. It was almost not worth my time to get a refund. Actually it wasn't worth my time getting a refund. My time is worth more than that, but this place doesn't deserve my business. TIP: If you want cheap, ghetto ice cream, look elsewhere. read more

The pharmacy manager Lam was so rude and has no customer services skills. My husband and I got the Covid booster shot so we did the walk in. The clerk who helped us asked us about occupants and we told him. He wrote out "occupational" and wait for 45 minutes for the manager Lam to give us a shot. She called us because the occupational is not good enough so we told her it was her employee that did not record our information. When she injected me, there is a sharp pain immediately since I don't know she knows how. My arm turns red and swelling immediately. I do not recommend this pharmacy at all for their lack of customer service and injection skills. The pharmacy was not busy but the wait is over 1 hour. read more

For the pharmacy: I had an appointment for an immunization at 5 pm. I was waiting for 20 minutes while there was no one in area where they give the shots. The employees were standing around talking. When I was called back to get my shot, I told them my appointment was at 5 and it's not 5:20. He didn't even know when my appointment was supposed to be even though I checked in early. This particular Rite Aid is down the street from me so I wish I could rely on it more. They have always been extremely slow, which sucks but I dealt with it. But now with Covid, their customers have a hard time actually wearing masks. I realize this isn't necessarily the store's fault, they have their signs displayed properly. And I also understand that the staff here may be a little hesitant to say something, considering how people react nowadays, but why even serve them? Yesterday I saw several people who got in the store and pulled down their mask under their nose and I just avoided and ignored. But then I go wait in line behind a woman who had her mask on her chin not even covering their mouth or nose. I decided to say something because I am thinking of the workers as well, it's a danger for all of us! The woman just rolled her eyes and went on to the cashier who said nothing and rung her up. I get it these poor workers say something and who knows how these people react. But what could have been done? "I can't ring you up unless you wear your mask properly". I feel bad for the workers who are being exposed by these irresponsible people, and I am not going to shop there during Covid when none of the customers can wear a damn mask. read more

It's the same Rite Aid in a different building in the same plaza..kind of trippy? YES! Besides this one cashier girl in the front, everybody who works here always looks pissed off and annoyed. Working for Rite Aid can't be the crappiest job in the world, but thats the vibe I get from the employees here. Most recently, I was in here during Christmas looking for wine bags..I asked this associate if they had any winebags and before i could finish my sentence he cut me off and said NOPE NO WINEBAGS..he later stomps away declaring to somebody (i didn't see anybody) that he was going on break. Well lo and behold..guess what i find where the bags are? yup you got it..WINE BAGS..so I get them and get in line, and guess whose in line in front of me? mr. all star associate! I thought about being a smartass and giving him a hard time..but the new and improved and more polite SItuasian decided to lay low and just let it be. They built a whole new building in the same parking lot. The new store is much nicer inside and best of all they brought back the Thrifty ice cream stand in the store. The customer service could be a bit better but every time I have been in there they have been packed so they must be doing something right. Mostly I go here for the ice cream now.
