It turned out to be $150, which was fine in the end, but it would have been helpful to know in advance. My father has been key to this endeavor as well as our family unit. We are not strangers to hiring help or contractors but after his strokes, the family dynamic is changing. Our problems started in 2019-2020 when my mother wanted to update the bathroom with a different toilet. During Covid, I was nervous about this project without advice from a plumber. My dad assured me that they had replaced many toilets in the past... (it's true. However this time dad was impaired with vision loss and cognitive issues). I couldn't tell what was wrong exactly but I was one who wanted to watch YT for advice and my parents grew annoyed at the thought. After the install, I knew problems were there when the toilet wasn't maintaining water... I was ignored. "You're not a plumber" was my mothers response every passing year... Eventually, the problems were too big to ignore. The flooring and toilet started to leak. The flooring was moldy, buckling and lifting. I was worried about costs. I was worried about my mom handling this project without my dad being in charge... the plumbing issues and potential leveling issues. Mom got several estimates. Our job requires 2 contractors. A plumber and a carpenter. They work independently from each other. This review is strictly for the carpenter/flooring. Steven has great communication skills and work ethic. At the time of this review he has 5 other stellar reviews and every single one of them has nuggets of truth that could apply to us as well. He pays attention to detail. He communicates effectively and if you are uncertain about an issue he shows up promptly, responds via phone or email in a timely manner and his rates are very reasonable! My review is lengthy so I will avoid making it too long. Bottom line if you need flooring installed by a reliable, trustworthy company in the New Braunfels / Canyon Lake area, consider this one. We were very impressed with the amount of work done in such little time. It was Steven & one assistant. Once they started work, they focused and worked hard. Flooring was removed, replaced, beams, baseboards... This was not a tiny job. They completed it in two days! I do have before, during and after photos but it's on mixed media right now. A misc. note: I initially did not want to get involved in my mother's project. It was a true test to see how this project would evolve. My mother failed miserably in this task. I was only able to feel comfortable enough to intervene because Steven is personable and easy to talk to. I'm a native Houstonian. I've worked in large companies with many different group leaders in my time ~ Steven is the definition of effective TEAM leadership.

Zach quickly responded here when I needed my gutters cleared. Wow, in just one year the new gutters…read morefilled w debris and weren't clearing water. Made an appointment for a few days later when Zach arrived he introduced me to Bryan who was doing my project before he left. That was a nice touch. Only negative might be--They were a bit late but texted before. Bryan was like Spider-Man with his leaf blower on the 2nd story roof. He blew the roof and gutters! While Bryan was here and I saw a magnificent power washer on his truck--I asked for a bid on my items mentioned below. The price seemed fair but wasn't cheap, I decided not to bid with others because of my experience with Bryan, plus I had 30 years of grime on my rock pathways, driveway and bottom of the foundation and he told me in detail what he would clean and how. I accepted the bid for part 2 and he even trusted me and waited to collect until finishing everything. He explained how he'd tackle my project when he returned a week or so later--I couldn't do right away. He also patiently let me reschedule at the last minute because my lawn wasn't moved yet. True to his promises, Bryan cared about my project --I'm so proud of my pathways (I have numerous limestone pathways that faded, but now they're almost like new!). Now... none of my limestone pathways or two boulders are that gray, gross color that happens to aged limestone I didn't realize how gross my driveway and sidewalks were, also there was a section of my white brick that was almost black--I'd tried cleaning myself but wasn't successful. I thought it was ruined, but it was cleaned! He used a rotary cleaner on the concrete too! Also, I'd tried cleaning my patio was it was so stubborn and was so funky I bought an outdoor rug to not track the grime inside. The job took most of the day. They use a bleach solution that didn't kill anything but continued to eat away at the funk before the rain came. Now I'm so proud of my yard! I'm not the gross neighbor and I'm not concerned about my clogged gutters. I think I'll hire them to keep ahead of my gutters next year--I have big dirty oak trees! Finally, Bryan looks you in the eyes when he talks to you, I can't explain it but I just know he's listening and he cares. I use Yelp because I can see how people rate others--I'd rate both these guys as professionals.
