Although Gerber did not receive either claim, I had already received an estimate for cost for one of the vehicles. The person I spoke with said I could come in on November 22nd to have the vehicle looked at. On November 22, I arrived at Gerber. I went to the front desk and the person working the front desk did not inspire confidence. After explaining why I was there, she asked if I knew who I spoke with and I did not as I was told there was only one person that handled my company's insurance (USAA). Ultimately I left, called my insurance provider and changed the place I would take my car to be repaired. My feeling is, if the small things like customer greeting, addressing customer needs on the phone, and attitude are poor quality, the important thing gs like repairing my vehicle would be poor quality.

Coyle was recommended to me by Allstate, my insurer because Coyle, being an Allstate shop collected assignment. It took a bit of time...but the important thing was that they fixed the car to be as good as new. They did. There was one small error with the rear wiper that they immediately fixed. At first, I mistakenly took my car to another shop (affiliated with a local Toyota dealership, use your imagination) for a quote. It was a battle just to get them to look at it because their online appointment system offered me a Saturday time that didn't exist and when I called, I had to call back multiple times until someone picked up in the shop. On top of that, I was obligated to wait a week before they would even look at it. Long story short, I was given a quote and left feeling unsatisfied, but I booked a date for repair and paid for the parts. During the time I was waiting for the date of my appointment to arrive with the Toyota dealership body shop, I had my oil changed at Smith Imported Car Service in Louisville. I told them about my issues, and they immediately referred me to Don Otts. Right there in the waiting room of Smith Imported, I called Don Otts and set a same-day appointment within less than an hour. Could not be easier! I brought my car over to the shop that day and had a quote, along with the bad news about my previous quote (a lot of after-market parts that were not for my make and model.) Without compromising on quality, the price Donny gave me was competitive along with a promise to use only Toyota parts. Donny had to go out of town for a week, otherwise I could have left my car at the shop for repair as soon as my parts came in. (Contrast with the Toyota dealership body shop where they said I would be lucky to have the work done by early November when I visited in September.) Here's the "happily ever after." Once the ordered parts came in and Donny gave me a call, I had my car back in just 2 days. It was looking beautiful and shiny again. I swear, these guys have a time machine. Not a big dent, but it was literally a Brand New Car and some idiot decided not only to dent it, but to not leave a note or anything. The dent wasn't, like, huge or anything, but it was on the driver's door, so every time I got in the car I'd see it. After enough time passed and I had enough extra cash, I decided to get it fixed. I drive by the Dent Doctor pretty regularly, so it was a no-brainer. I emailed the Dent Doctor a couple pictures of the dent and they sent me a ballpark quote of $150 to fix it. Easy enough. They generally book a couple weeks out, so when my appoint came along I was there at 8:15 a.m. Kaden was busy working on someone else's car, so I said "Hey, I can just sit and wait". He said there was no need, that the other car could wait, and by 8:25 my car was in the building being worked in. I figured it would take an hour to an hour-and-a-half, but I brought my laptop so I could work while the dent was being tended to. They've got a small waiting room in the lobby with a table and a couple chairs. I didn't need a lot of room to work and that was just fine. Imagine my surprise when, at 8:55, Kaden walked out and said "Ok, you're all set!" Holy WOW! I was not expecting it to be done in, literally, 30 minutes. I settled my $150 repair charge and I was on my way. Total time on site was less than 45 minutes and there is, 100%, no sign of the dent any more (see my Before and After photos). I know it was a 'me' thing more than it was a necessity and didn't impact the care at all, but it tasked me, so I had to do it.
