On Friday 12/15/23 I called them six times trying to get an update on my car, I just needed to know if I should continue with my Xmas plans to travel out of state. I explained that to the lady that answered the phone and was told my advisor would call me back that day. It didn't happen so I had to cancel my plans to travel. It's now 12/24/23 & because I wasn't able to find out prior to the deadline to cancel/change my plans I am now in Louisville with NO PLANS for XMAS! This could have been avoided if only they had answered my question on the 15th. They also FAILED TO INFORM ME the day I dropped off my car that they were charging owners even though I made a comment about the parking lot being redone. If I had been given that information knowing that most likely would have made me decide to either pause my car repair or find another shop that was not going through a change in ownership. I've lived through those changes as an employee and know many things are slowed down, changed all together and employees being unsure of what's happening tend to focus on their future more than the job. My take away from this experience are 1) Ask more questions regardless of previous experiences 2) Don't refer others to businesses that are not nationally established 3) Don't wait so long to get PISSED off as the new owner/manager said to me on 12/21/23 that "I wish you had gotten this upset sooner" I left that conversation thinking I'M REALLY SCREWED! I was right, my car was supposed to be ready the following day and he told me he was going too call Mr, instead I received a call from a lady telling me that they were waiting for a left rear sensor that is expected to arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday after Xmas. I guess I could have turned in my rental car and proceeded as planned but then even after the insurance company paying for all of this had made me a reservation for the rental car @EnterpriseRentacar kept me waiting over an hour to be rented a car and only showed up after my call telling them I would give the TEN MINUTES to get to the shop with a car. The guy walked in asking for me at the 10 minute mark and I could tell he wanted me in that car asap and was expecting to get ripped a new one. That didn't happen because I knew he most likely had nothing to do with the time I had to wait. Merry Xmas and not only will I share my HOLIDAY 23 here I will also share it as I travel through 2024.
