This place is NOT closed. It is very open and still popular! We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. The inside is really nice, I just wished it was more...cozy? Nevertheless, I like the clean, modern vibe. We just got a quick drink and bite, AND bought a bag of their broken bars which is an amazing deal haha. The blueberry seed loaf was very good and I'd honestly buy a whole loaf if I could every week! The guy working explained the different sipping chocolates well and accurately; we got the Belize which was slightly tart but tasted like dried fruit (like how he explained)! It was very rich and yummy, but definitely not for everyone haha. I'd love to come back and try other ones and their teas. Overall, definitely stop here if you're in the vicinity! read more

Samples of their chocolate bars are available, which helped us make good choices and introduced us to flavors we might not have otherwise chosen. My favorite is the juniper lavender chocolate. Me and about 15+ people came here for a chocolate tasting and tour. First, the chocolate at Ritual is amazing! It is small batch, organic and is sourced specially for them. Scott was our tour guide and he was awesome. He loves his job and company and it showed in his enthusiasm during the chocolate tasting. He taught us how chocolate was made, showed us video of him sourcing chocolate in the D.R., as well as images of chocolate growing and during the fermentation process. The videos were very cool to watch and beautiful to boot! We had a lot of fun and laughs with Scott and I would definitely recommend the chocolate tasting tour here as well as their nummy chocolate! We all visited the gift shop afterwards and bought several souvenirs and gifts for people at home. If you go to the chocolate tasting, make sure you get Scott to teach you all about the fascinating seeds of this fruit! read more

Ritual has amazing chocolate bars. I've tried many of their single origin and mountain series, and I would recommend all of them. This location houses their factory as well as a cafe. You are able to take a brief tour of the factory, check their website for dates and times. The factory tour gives you some background around their process. You can see the machines they use and you get to taste some of their chocolate. It's a short but fun way to learn more about their process. The redheaded female never smiles and makes one feel like you are bothering her by ordering a cappuccino. She pulls bitter shots. Avoid espresso drinks when she is there. I can get the same thing at Starbucks, a bad drink but with a smile and friendly service. read more

I am already a devoted Ritual fan, so there is nothing new here as far as the chocolate goes. It is divine: not too sweet, balanced flavors, and those with inclusions are subtle, never overwhelming their award winning chocolate. This new space is large, light, and open, and will offer plenty of room for social distancing during these COVID times. I adored the gallery wall along the back of the café. Utahns are lucky to have many local sources of Ritual's delightful chocolate bars, so when previously visiting their Park City and Whole Foods cafés, it was mostly to stock up on the house made chocolates. Sadly (SO sadly!), they seem to be discontinued. I cried some inward tears upon discovery, and then breathed a sigh of relief to find they still offer their gluten free brownies. Phew! They have gorgeous sipping chocolate, coffee, tea, oh-so-trendy sparkling cans of Dram (even the CBD varieties), baked goodies including Süss cookies, and a few savory options: toasts, quiche, empanadas, plus house made yogurt and granola. I selected a slice of bacon vegetable quiche (I believe made by local June Pies), and it was just okay. The bottom of the crust was soggy, and the filling was fine, just unexceptional. I did, however, enjoy the well-cooked flaky brown crust! I wish I had selected the two varieties of empanada instead, but there is always next time. And the gluten free brownie! Besides the aforementioned chocolates (RIP) this is my Ritual café favorite. These brownies look so unassuming, but are like the bar form of an incredibly rich, but not too sweet flourless chocolate cake. They are packed with chunks of chocolate and cacao nibs featuring lovely fruity notes. Swoon! I have tried so many gluten free brownie recipes at home, but to no avail. It cannot be replicated, so you best get yourself to Ritual. read more

Warning! This place is totally unorganized. We booked an 11am tour of their factory and drove through a snowstorm to get there. When we arrived, we were told the "tour guide" isn't here, and we should come back at 1pm. Not having a spare 2 hours to sit around and wait in an industrial park, we asked for a refund. We were told we have to email their accountant to "see if we can get one". To top that off , we were told that the account is currently touring South Africa, so it may take a few weeks. read more

The service here was so disappointing! The day before, we sampled Ritual chocolate during a whiskey/chocolate tasting at High West distillery. Since we were staying in Midway, we decided to stop by the store in Heber City to purchase some. We (4 of us) walked in with intent of purchasing some chocolate and some coffee. When we got to the counter, the only person working (I never had the opportunity to learn her name) was unpacking some groceries and maybe (?) preparing food for a large table which was seated. We were never acknowledged in any way. After standing there for about 5 minutes, we tried to get her attention as she walked toward us. She actually turned around, never making eye contact with any of us. It was very strange and rude behavior. While I understand that since she was the only one working, she was busy, but if we had been acknowledged with some estimate on time, it would have been fine. We left the chocolate on the counter and walked out. We enjoyed coffee at Sundance Resort and found the same chocolate for several dollars per bar less. read more

This location might be missed if you go by too fast it's in a newly built business plaza, so heads up when your driving there! The entrance is on the side facing the parking lot not the street side. We ordered: (1) Quiche (1) Brownie - Gluten Free (1) Sipping Chocolate- Ecuador (2) Mochas (2) Ritual Mugs- Black and White Speckle (2) Suss cookies! Cam helped us out in choosing the Sipping chocolate, don't be fooled, it's not hot chocolate! I've had sipping chocolate before, there is a reason it's called sipping chocolate! It's very fine and rich chocolate with hot water so it's very pure without the distractions of adding anything else like heavy whipping cream or milk/sugar etc. The sipping chocolate was very fine and strong it was about the size of an espresso. My husband and I shared ours. Then we each got a mocha, very nice. Cam added a piece of Fleur de Sol chocolate on top and we added it to our Mochas to sweeten it up more! We like things more on the sweet side! Beautiful, clean, trendy ambiance! We will definitely come again when we are back in Utah! Maybe by then we can try the chocolate tasting experience which is what they mentioned they would like to do in the future since they have an even room along with tours of the chocolate factory/process. We didn't know this place was vegan and wouldn't have gone there had we know. That. We thought we would be getting hand dipped chocolates but they sell chocolate bars. You have to buy the entire bar ($10-$12 each). I highly recommend a sampling size. What if you buy an entire chocolate bar and don't love the flavor? read more

I would skip this all together and just order online. The shop is super cute but the service was terrible. I'm always amazed when people in small businesses treat customers like they are a bother. We walked in around 2:50, hours on the door say they are open until 5. The man working the counter didn't say hello, just that he was supposed to close at 3 and couldn't make any drinks. There were a few other customers in the store. We bought a few bars to take and again he was just abrupt and almost rude. We would not have come in so close to closing if there had been anything on the doors or inside the store that said they have different hours. I have been going to Ritual since they opened their doors in Park City years ago and I make it a point to take friends there when they visit because I love supporting small businesses. Ritual has amazing chocolates and their coffee (Pink Elephant) is very tasty. This location is beautiful and the staff every time I come in act like, "Why are you here?" It is so off-putting. The owners of Ritual are great, their staff needs some major training in customer service. They are awful!!! The staff takes forever to prepare a simple coffee drink. They had almost no baked goods available, except obvious day-old stuff still wrapped up in cellophane wrap. They walk around like they don't have anything to do. This is a coffee shop, maybe have a cup before you open up. Oh and that is my last gripe. Their hours are all over the place. They open up at 9 am, did I mention that they sell coffee? No wonder when I suggest meeting here I get lukewarm responses from people. I think this is going to be the last time I come to this location. It is a huge shame because this place should be packed with people all day even before 9am. read more

In a largely (currently) empty complex, next door to a June Pie, this chocolate and coffee shop and bar has a bright and airy space perfect for sipping an incredibly rich sipping chocolate or munching on an exceptionally delicious brownie or cookie. I wouldn't take time to visit this place. So underwhelming, I didn't get it. No menu so I had no idea what I could or should buy. Chocolate on display has fancy names and might be tasty but I didn't relate to any of it. I'd bet money though that if they had someone ask "have you tried our chocolate" and then provided a sample I would have bought their $9 chocolate bars. Stopped by the factory for a taste and were delightfully surprised by a great little sandwich shop that left us fully satisfied with a nice light meal But as for the chocolate the tasting flight of single origins was a bit disappointing. Would have preferred the drinking option but that was restricted to one item After this experience I realize single origin is not really my preference as they are so distinctive and strong but if you find the right one it can be excellent.
