But once you decide you want to cancel your membership, WAY different story. I cancelled my membership nearly THREE years ago, in winter 2015 (before Fusion ever existed). I did a 'buy out,' what I was told was a one time fee to cancel my membership and be done with it. In early 2018, i notice that both Fusion Fitness and their debt collector had been taking money from my account...for MONTHS. Sometimes twice a month. I cancelled my debit card and didnt pursue it further as it was already giving me a bad enough headache. So now, in October 2018, I get a text message from the gym that says if I come back to Fusion Fitness they will forgive my 'delinquent' account...well the answer to that is a firm NO as I am currently 5 months pregnant with twins and can barely walk around the block. I HAVE no account...I cancelled my membership THREE years ago...and now they are trying to scam me for even more money. Unbelievable. When I went to talk to Bill about it he didn't even have any of my paper documents or financial records from when I was a member available to look at. Save yourself the grief of getting your money stolen and go somewhere else. I learned my lesson and have enjoyed the gym contract-free at Juniper. Will be reporting Bill to the BBB, City of Bend, and City of Bend Police if I have to. Disgusting that somebody like this has a business license. Just read any of the other one star reviews for this business...how many thousands of dollars have been stolen from people who just didn't want a membership anymore?

Finding a formula that successfully caters to both advanced, moderate, and even an ambitious beginner athletes is tough to pull off. These folks do it. They have purposely named the trainers "coaches". The coaches are part educator, motivator, and community member. The workouts are goal oriented, which I believe is imperative to measure success and strive towards a feeling of accomplishment. If you want to work hard, push yourself, and make personal gains, this is your place. That said, I wouldn't recommend it for someone who isn't willing to get out of their comfort zone.

The drinking fountain has exquisite pressure, and the machines allow you to develop a pronounced preference for your dominate side. I've been pleased with the self governing of the regulars, and grateful for the fresh Simple Green scent laid down by the previous occupant of any machine I choose. Vending machines prices are barely above wholesale, and the selection is popular. All-in-all I've been happier with this gym membership than I was before I got it. Stay snappy.

Lots of members complained. Reed Market location kept the Cybex but too far to drive. 2) The Bend gym is a palace compared to other Snap Fitness locations out-of-state. We visited six in Arizona. Most are hole in the walls and not worth the effort to go. Arizona Planet Fitness gyms are similar in size to the Bend location. 3) Upfront $89 fee is ridiculous . . plus, for a couple it would be $79/month. Based on the above, it looks like Planet Fitness is my best bet for decent machines, reasonable price, and good size gyms for out-of-state.

I was never a "gym guy" until I was fortunate enough to find Fortitude Fitness. I love it here…read more The workouts are challenging and varied, but most importantly the coaching is excellent. I never used to lift weights, in part because I worried I might hurt myself with poor form. Travis is one of the best coaches I've met, in any context. He's patient, precise, and supportive. Lindsay brings a level of humor and fun to workouts that doesn't take away from safety and motivation. If you want a place that really focuses on using good form, on keeping your body safe while getting and staying fit, this is it. Another reason I've stayed for four years and plan on working out here forever is the community. It's nice to greet and be greeted by workout buddies of all ages. I'm in my 50s. Just this morning I touched base with a guy in his twenties who usually takes the same class as me. He said to me, "hey, I noticed you've been looking stronger lately...thought I should share that with you." This from-the-heart comment really pumped me up, especially since I'm still in recovery from a minor surgery. And it echoed the motivating phrase painted in huge letters on the wall: Stronger Than Yesterday. Who is the ideal person for this gym? Anyone. Really. There are professional athletes who workout here, and there are retired folks. Nurses, project managers, desk jockeys. There's a middle aged couple whose four kids sometimes join the workouts. When my kids are old enough, I know they'll be welcomed here. There are 20-somethings and 40-somethings and 60-somethings. Some couples workout together, some go solo. Mon, Wed, and Fri when my alarm goes off at 6:20 I just want to go back to sleep. But then I say to myself, "you're always glad you went." So I go, and I AM always glad. And during the workout, most days at least, I do feel stronger than yesterday.
