Normally, I only write about restaurants, cafes, and coffee shops but I just HAD to write about this Rituals Cosmetics location. The first time I came across Rituals was when I visited Barcelona, Spain so I was beyond excited to find out it also existed in New York City. I had been to this location twice and I really wish I remembered the names of the 2 ladies who I had spoken to. They were so friendly and really believed in what this store stood for and what these products do. I'm a big fan of the sugar and salt scrubs, lotions and just the experience of being there. When you go in, you'll first fall in love with how nice the place smells. You have the opportunity to use the sugar and salt scrubs and then fall in love with how amazing your hands feel afterward. My boyfriend has become a fan of the men's face scrub. He has previously had an issue with pimples and the Samurai did miracles to clear it all up! We will be back soon! read more

I've been to both locations in Manhattan & I love the one on the Upper West Side. Beautiful store, lovely staff, great products in great packaging. Like the Fresh brand but much more affordable. Consider adding these Samurai line items to your favorite males' home collection this, & every, February 14th: Shampoo: This is one of my favorite products because it smells great, lathers well and rinses out clean. Japanese mint stimulates the scalp while leaving a subtle and fresh scent. Hair is shiny without any sticky residue. Face Scrub: Exfoliating beads in this product give the skin a good scrub in preparation for shaving. The wash foams immediately on moist skin, and only a small amount is needed. Skin is soft without tightness after a warm water rinse. Shower Gel: The scent in this product is stronger than the shampoo but it mostly dissipates after being washed off. Yesterday I was able to stop by this store to get a candle gift for a friend. I was so happy that I did. From the time I entered the store I was greated with amazing customer service from the salesperson Achlely. I explained to her that I wanted to get one of their signature candles. She then escorted me over to the candle display and enlightened me on all the different versions of their amazing candles. She asked me was the gift for a male or female which could help me on a better decision. The gift was for a female friend. She then showed me some of their best sellers. I fell in love with the ones she showed me. She then told me to take my time and she will be here if I had any questions. I was so torn between two different candles. So then she also showed me some great candle gift sets which I feel in love with too. I was like a kid in a candy store with all the great things you have in the store. I then met the manager Jo who just so amazing too. She asked me was I registered as a Rituals member, I informed her that I was and she let me know about some of the great offers that were going on. I then begin to see more stuff that was amazing. Some of your skin products and some of your perfumes and colognes. Jo asked what was my skin cleaning regime, she advised me on some products that would be great for my skin type which is part dry and oily. Can I tell you I stayed in your store for 45 minutes and it was the best time cause your staff felt like family and treated me and everyone that came in with VIP treatment. At the end if my visit, I left your store with a gift set for my friend, a few candles for myself, some great skin cleaning products for my face and for taking care of my beard and also some great body scrub products and two bottles of cologne. I stated to both your fabulous staff that this is my new go to store for all my upcoming holiday season gift list for the special people in my life. I have to spead the word about this store to my friends about your extremely grateful and caring staff there too. read more

Placed an order 9 days ago, and never received the shipment. Called to inquire about the status to only find out that the order was never processed. It was supposed to be a gift, which won't arrive on time. Credit card was charged, but the order was never processed. Warehouse either never received or processed the order, - the company couldn't figure out the reason. Customer service representative said we could refund your money. Really??? read more

Horrible customer service!!!!!!!! Horrible online ordering system!!! Location admits to having an online ordering system that is suitable to UK addresses. I ordered several items that shipped and were returned to New York because it was missing a suite number. Yet, the website doesn't allow you to enter such information. Called the NY store to address the issue. Package get delivered to NY on a Monday. I call back Wednesday the package is still in NY. Was told they could not expedite the package which is now 3 weeks late. I told Amanda, the manager, to ship out the package. She replies, "have an awesome day" and refunds me my money instead of shipping out the package. 1 star is too high of a rating. I'm following up with a call to their corporate office in the UK. read more

The Sales Associates in Rituals (Columbus Ave) NYC are simply...the best! These women go above and beyond to make the customer feel welcome and valued. True to her name (and then some), the lovely "Radiant" was extremely attentive, answered all my questions and just had a lovely overall caring way about her...how refreshing! She knew the product line well (cosmetics and home products) and helped me make a decision as to which bronzer to purchase. I went into the store just to "look around" and wound up vowing to return now that i know what to expect and having felt to "welcomed" by this terrific and knowledgeable Sales Associate. I certainly hope Rituals management takes the time to recognize these women who go above and beyond for the sake of the product and the customer. Any retail owner would be too thrilled to have a "Radiant" or one of the other professionals in the Rituals Columbus store as part of their own team. read more
