The people that work there are very nice. Met a sales lady, by the name Francine, at a perfume event. I did not buy anything that day but said I would come back. Right before Christmas I went to buy a Perfume for a male friend. Francine was there doing skincare that day. She told the young man to take very good care of me and to come back to her. I got a lot of samples. I went back and she treated me to not only skincare but did my makeup. Afterwards there was an amazing Christmas show. Santa came down the escalator with his elves. They danced and sang. Everyone stopped to watch them. Then they went up the escalators. I'm not sure but I think they had the parents and children go up stairs. I think Santa reads a book to the kids. The Holiday's is a great time to go to the NYC Flagship store. Been to the shoe department and saw some boots I liked. They did not have my size so I ordered them. The shoes came to my home but they did not look right. Ordered the next size down and had them delivered to the store. They fit perfectly so I got a refund on the first pair. Now I saw these beautiful Sam Edelman shoes and fell in love. They were my size but they were suede. I really had to think about this purchase because it was $220. Well I gave in and picked them up today. I've also ordered the same boots but in leather. I can't wait until they are delivered to the store. I ordered two different sizes to make sure I get the one that fits the best. The last couple of boots I ordered are a high boots with a wide calf. You know how hard it is to find these types of boots? I've always looked but was afraid to purchase because of comfort. All the boots I have purchased are comfortable. read more

Nordstrom 57TH Street-On-Line Pick up department needs a lot of coaching I have been there many times in the past 2 months trying to purchase shoes on-line that are made in China and Nordstrom has many false accusations about their shoes they hire interns to do improvs that do not discuss the details of the shoes...however when you go to pick up the shoes you have to wait on line to pick up the shoes and then a separate to return the shoe see picture this can take up to 25 minutes or more depending what day and time...and their phone associates - are not the cream of the crop...they hire people that do not speak english...some do but they do not hire quality phone associates.... read more

[Re-review] Attended the "Oh What Fun event this evening to kick off the holiday season and experienced one of the most hilariously distasteful things I ever did at an event like this. There was plenty of free alcoholic drinks flowing but my friend does not drink. When she went up to the bar on the 5th floor, she asked a bartender for a non-alcoholic drink (a soda perhaps) and the bartender told her she could give her one of the mix-ins (Sprite, apple juice) but would have to CHARGE her...I'm sorry? So guests of this event would be punished for not drinking alcohol? This is one of my favorite department stores, for various reasons. It's in a prime location and has a good selection of items for any budget and style needs. I come here for a specific brand of sneakers due to the difficulty I have finding my size in select styles of a particular brand. I love visiting the store during the holidays because they always have unique decorations throughout the store. They also have holiday performances on select days & times for the family to enjoy. This is quite the store..... a little stressful with all the people, especially with the mix of bargain hunters, tourists, regulars, and the "entitled", on all the different floors. Also, much like other flagship stores in this area, they have a little of everything without complete departments, there is not enough space. The staff is also friendly, professional, trendy, and perceptive. They make coming here a better experience. read more

This review is for the cafe- stopped by for lunch yesterday and I wouldn't have known this cafe was here if my cousin wouldn't have told me about it. I'm so sad I didn't know sooner because the food was beyond fresh and delicious. I got the burger with the Parmesan friends. They were beyond delicious and their truffle dip was delicious. So I go to Nordstrom yesterday to pick up two Ralph Lauren Cape dresses that I ordered on line last week. 1 in red and 1 in black. I go into the dressing room to try them on before I bring them home. The red dress is on a hanger and in plastic covering, the black dress is shoved into a bag that has nothing to do with the dress and it was filthy dirty as you can see in the photos. I couldn't believe that I received my merchandise like that . I was so upset. I just returned both dresses and I'll go to Ralph Lauren at the flagship store and purchase them there. I then proceed to go to the fifth floor to buy pantyhose. I ask one woman for help and she says she's busy. She gets me someone else a girl named Dianna who comes up to assist me. Not that it's part of her job performance, but she looked miserable and definitely treated like she didn't want to take care of me or anybody else she'd rather be watching Netflix at home. And to add insult to injury She wasn't much help when I asked her What size do you think I need? These are my height and weight. She handed me the pantyhose and said well. Here's the stats right here. I could've done that myself I then asked her for a certain color and she said she didn't know if they had that color. I said well can you find out needless to say I never got that color because she never looked in inventory. I then asked about another company and they're sizing and there was no sizing on the back again, she said she didn't know and I said well how do we find out because I don't know either! I felt she was rude, unwelcoming it wasn't busy there and she wasn't giving the kind of Customer service I felt I deserved in a fairly empty store. Needless to say, I left Nordstrom really pissed off. 2 experiences 2 different floors both rotten. At this point, I wouldn't recommend going there aside from maybe the cosmetic floor . I had a great time shopping today. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The sales associates provided excellent service and immediately understood what I was looking for when I described an item. They offered me alternative options, and when something wasn't available in-store, they reminded me that I could order it and have it shipped to my address for free. This was my first time in this location. There were so many floors and a lot of unmarked areas. I came here to check out the tail end of the anniversary sale and as I suspected there wasn't much left in the barrel. Despite that I did manage to get a dress that was in the sale with an additional discount on top! Score! One of the associates (her name was Champagne) saw that my friend and I had a lot of items in our hands and came up to us to ask if we would like a fitting room. It was my first time as the flagship store and I was in heaven! I specifically came for the Louboutin boutique which didn't disappoint! Tony was my sales associate and was a 10/10! He was patient, offered great suggestions and attentive. Their selection was amazing and I could have spent all day in this store! They do have a bar or two if you would like to grab a cocktail while enjoying some shopping. One store is dedicated solely to women while across the street is men's! TL;DR: This Nordstrom Store provided a welcoming and INCLUSIVE shopping experience for ALL! I am updating my previous 5 star review of the Nordstrom Flagship store on 57th to reflect another exceptional customer service experience. I previously wrote about Jody- the dress whisperer who helped assist myself, my mother and my sister purchase evening gowns for my brother's wedding. I had been very rudely turned away from Bloomingdale's and Sak's who offered to help my petite mother and sister but- in words I will not repeat on Yelp- stated they did not serve individuals of my size there. BTW the average american dress size is between a size 16 and size 18- I guess those stores did not get the memo. Jody at Nordstrom's on 57th was beyond warm, professional and efficient. She had 5 black evening gowns in my size for me to try on in under 10 minutes, while also pulling gowns for my mom at the same time. We had all our gowns altered with Nordstroms in house alteration (and having a Nordstrom's credit card we received nordstrom notes for most of this cost). The gowns when altered were given back to us in these nice nordstroms garment bags. These garment bags are so helpful in protecting your gown and transporting your gown. I had my gown dry cleaned last week for a special occasion and unfortunately, my dry cleaner somehow lost the garment bag and did not sell any! I called Nordstroms on 57th as I could not see any garment bags listed on their website. Due to some technical issues with their phones, I was connected with Margalit in the lingerie department. Margalit was kind enough to check the back for me and confirm they had the garmet bags and put one aside for me. When I arrived at the Nordstrom on 57th the next day, I was greeted warmly by Margalit who remembered our conversation and as soon as I said I was there for a garmet bag she greeted me by name and returned in 2 shakes of a lamb's tail with a bag for me. Margalit was warm, professional and efficient!! I stopped across the street at the men's store to purchase a gift for my boyfriend and also had a wonderful experience with nordstrom employee Jazmin! I will write a review for them next to share that experience! read more

I have to say, the experience at this Nordstrom has been interesting. The kids' shoe section always seems slow, but employees like Mario truly make the difference. He's consistently available, kind, and helpful. Whether he's in the back restocking or assisting customers who have been waiting, he goes above and beyond. When we first arrived, there was another colleague on the floor, but he disappeared and never returned. I also noticed another employee repeatedly walking past and chatting with two women between the kids' and home goods sections. When I asked Mario if he was the only one covering, he politely explained that she was on lunch though from how long it lasted, it felt like an extended break. Through all this, Mario was the only one keeping things running. His patience, professionalism, and genuine care for customers stood out. I believe he deserves recognition and strongly recommend Nordstrom acknowledge his efforts. read more

Writing this review for Yuki from the women's intimates department. I had been wearing the same strapless bra for the last 6 years until finally the underwire poked through and drew blood! Bra shopping is hardly my favorite thing to do, but I went in to Nordstrom hoping to find a replacement. I was browsing for a few minutes when Yuki approached me asking if she could assist. She took my measurements and listened closely to what I was looking for. She went to look for options and came back with a ton. She pointed out how each fit (or didn't) and what to look for. She picked out a few that I would not have considered based on how it looked on the hanger. I'm glad she had me try them on anyway, because they worked! Absolutely disgusting behavior from the sales associate working in the FRAME section on the 4th floor. After waiting in line, once she realized I had a return she requested I go to another register or all the way to LL1 because "the floor was busy". Mind you no one was behind me in line. Nordstrom Flagship store on w. 57th St had its Anniversary Sale which ends today. Giving away perks in the morning. Most staff is nice enough but makeup ppl r very pushy & invasive in your face too too much. I couldn't shop comfortably I had to ask them to stop . It was like every minute another would signal another salesperson ‍ to approach they need to work on that. We spend money all year give us a chance to look for sales w/ out being annoying ppl spend more when they're having fun. I got anxiety bc I didn't know when another person ‍ would jump out at me. I've been here more time than I can count, service is always a 10 here. Champagne is always helpful here. Service is always good. It's never a let down when I come in for something specific. Another successful visit to the Nordstroms store thanks to sales associate Jelani Williams. I had taken a picture of a pair of booties I found online and liked but while looking around wasn't able to locate them in the store, Jelani to the rescue. Jelani went to the back and bought out the box with one shoe (which I tried on and loved) the other was on the rack....with the patience of a saint he went thru all the racks trying to locate the matching booties. Unable to find it I saw him heading back to the stock room was gone for a little bit but was unable to locate it. I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to purchase and he offered to order it for me online since the booties would more than likely be in either another store or the warehouse and could be fulfilled. This visit was on Monday and my booties arrived on Wednesday. Ladies like many other reviewers who suggested to size up I would go 1/2 size up. I always wear a 9 which is the picture of me wearing the booties and "yes" the heel is very hard and it's pretty narrow in the lower portion of foot. The 9 1/2 just has a wee bit of space that a pair of thick socks couldn't fit......they are perfect. I made an online purchase from Nordstrom and returned the item (a jacket, cost $600) using their prepaid return label. According to FedEx tracking, the package was delivered to Nordstrom on April 30, 2025. However, Nordstrom has refused to refund me, claiming they cannot locate the item in their warehouse. This is very disappointing since I followed all the return instructions properly. I had to file a chargeback with my bank and submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Just loveeee the decor of this place. It's my 3rd time here & I gotta say this is my favorite one so far. It's huge & very nicely decorated! Very clean too. My friend came here looking for a pair of Tory Burch shoes. While she was getting help From the staff, we waited at the sitting area. There we spied a menu. Shoe Bar! Say what?! You can get a drink while trying on shoes? Then I saw a sign "Shoe Bar" behind the shoes area with some high top tables and chairs. Nobody was drinking though. But this is such a great idea! We need this at all Nordstroms. Nothing like alcohol to fuel the buying of shoes. The store is big and well laid out. Good service from staff too. So beautiful in here. The perfume counters are endless in selection. All the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable especially the associates at the parfums de marly counter. Very helpful. I was able to get street parking out front. I lucked out actually. They have the bistro on the top floor. I do feel like the naked wardrobe/topshop section is more limited than before but I still manage to find quick last minute items. read more

Just went to this location this morning to purchase a new Longchamp bag ( I had been wanting one for a long time...) and I had already done my research on which size and color I wanted ( black vs navy/large). I took my time and went with the navy in large size. This was my second time at this Nordstrom and although it says that it opens at 10:00 AM I was there a little before 10:00 and it was open. the salesperson at the Longchamp area didn't hover around and I was able to take my time (almost an hour!). read more

So I've been frequenting this Nordstrom for all my beauty and fragrance needs since I started coming to them and let me tell you why: THE EXPERIENCE!!! The customer service, the welcome, the one on one personalization and finishing touches. That's what so many are missing and the people who are working here have managed to not only adapt but own as skill sets. For example from the Le Labo counter alone my go to person: Imran!! He is the best and you can tell him I said so! However, there's also Pedro and Alisha there and they also are amazing, so you know you are always left in good hands! Imran will help you pin point the best fragrance for you, your friends, your relatives! I have most of my coworkers and a handful of friends coming here or sending their orders. Then at the Charlotte Tilbury counter you have Tabatha!!! Talk about A+++ Top Tier service!?! She is another one that is absolutely amazing! There was an event where they were running out of the gift box sets and Tabatha came through! What I also love is that both are honest and DON'T push sales!! They'll let you know what's for you, what isn't and what you should test first or keep an eye out for. But if she isn't available then Codi or Doreen are there to help out for Charlotte Tilbury. Chad in women's shoes and Khalil in the designer accessories. Are the absolute worst, worse customer service. Especially Khalil. They would not let my return items with them as Chad said he was too busy and said he was helping someone and Khalil just said he would not do it bc I didn't have the original packaging. The item was on my Nordstrom card and I had the receipt. I ended up leaving and going all the way to Nordstrom locale on the upper Eastside. I planned to stay that day and shop around and look at the boots but the two of them had such disgusting attitudes and behavior that I just left and looked at the shoes store next to Nordstroms locale on the UES and ended up purchasing boots there instead. I tried the personal styling service and have never felt so mistreated as a paying customer. The stylist pulled all of the wrong sizes, then proceeded to make me feel bad for things not fitting. When I told her she was pulling the wrong sizes, she tried to argue with me, claiming I had put in the wrong sizes. I asked her to relook at the form I submitted and she realized she had, in fact, read the form wrong. Even had it been my error, what happened to the days of the customer being right? Beyond the size debacle, I was unimpressed with her selections. I told her I was looking for an outfit to elevate my look for a conference where I was going to be a presenter. The clothing she pulled was inappropriate for this purpose, including cargo pants, short dresses, and excessively busy tops that overwhelmed my frame. Please save your time and do not use this service at this location. Not only was it a waste of my time, but the sales associate made me feel so terrible about myself through her rude and condescending attitude. I'll be picking Bloomingdale's for future department store needs in NYC. For what it's worth, I have had positive experiences with this same service at the San Francisco location, so this seems to be an issue with this location and the way they train stylists. read more
