I have only been there three times. Paul was amazing so I went back. Then I had Tom. He was good too. This past week I went back and I had a male technician who did such a bad job I went home and immediately removed the polish and filed my nails. The polish he applied was gooey and so OLD! My bad for not stopping him because he asked for payment before he even did the polish so I had already tipped him and paid. I will not go back. He had to have know how bad this was but obviously had other customers in line so he did't care. read more

I have been to Ritz a few times. I was liking the service good enough, but finally had an experience that turned me away. Overall, the services decent and good. There was one time they told me to come in when I made an appointment and they kind of forgot about me taking a few people ahead of me in line until I asked about it. They finally put me in and I was helped. It wasn't the biggest deal, but it definitely added another 30 minutes. I feel like the technicians take a little bit longer than other places. If you don't have someone that you know really well there that can get the work done efficiently. I was fine with it taking a little bit longer since I really didn't know who to ask for every time I booked. I turned off the last time though because I tried to charge my service with a credit card. I had cash ready for the tip. They did not let me charge my service and made me take cash out of their cash machine instead. They told me that their credit card machine was broken, which seemed doubtful. There was no sign by the credit card machine that said it was broken, and I was the last customer of the evening since it took so long. So I had to go to the cash machine and pay an extra fee to take out cash in order to pay them. I was ready to tip with cash but now I had pay an extra fee in order to pay for the service (ATM fee). I did it without complaining, but I just decided that that was enough for me. I'm onto a new nail salon. read more

My sister took my daughter to get her nails polished for her birthday and the manicurist was mean and difficult through the whole appointment. It really put a damper on the whole special day. i used to get pedicure approximately once a year. My last ped was at Ritz, during the foot soak period the tech was talking and looked away while buffing and took several layers of skin off on the side of my foot. It bled for sometime and took weeks to heal and not be sore to the touch. It was painful to wear shoes or sandals. They did give me a discount on the service, but the damage was done. I have not had a ped since because of the experience, it was a few years ago due to these two experiences I will not go back again. There are several other nearby nail salons that have higher standards. read more

Called ahead to make sure they took discover. They said they did and then once I got there they said they only take cash app and Venmo! Annie, the lady who did my nails was terrible too. She did not push back my cuticles, did not ask what shape or how long I wanted them and she was just watching YouTube videos on her phone the whole time. She smudged my nail against the towel and when I kindly asked if she could redo it she said it looked "good enough". I had to argue to have her try to fix it and even then she just added another layer of gel nail polish on so that nail is uneven and thicker than the rest. On the rest of my nails she missed spots. All and all, this was the worst mani pedi. It was definitely NOT worth the $68 they charged. I will not be going back!! read more

I'll start by saying it's a nice looking salon and I've had decent service in the past. I've only had pedicures here so I can't speak for other services. Today my sister and I had a 3pm appointment for pedis. They had us soaking and my sister's service began. I waited 45 minutes before anyone even approached me. I declined service because, well, we have other things to do. Very disappointing since I was really looking forward to this and we had an appointment. I booked Ritz Nails & Salon for my bridal party. The staff there was fantastic and really very efficient! All my of my ladies were really happy with their nails. One of my sisters smudged one of her toes and they took the time to fix it before we left the salon--even though our group had already finished. To end the visit, they gave me (the bride) a $50 gift certificate as a thank you for coming to the salon. Such good customer service and generosity! Would definitely recommend to others. I schedule two manicure appointment for myself and my 3 olds birthday. She was so excited! We arrived for our appointment and then waited almost 45 minutes for anyone to even start out appointment. The nail techs weren't even at the salon. They came walking in 45 minutes after our start time with no sense of urgency. If it hadn't been my daughters birthday I would have left. No one apologized for the delay. The nail tech didn't even talk to my 3 year old. It was so upsetting because my daughter was so excited. It ended up taking up our whole morning. I originally was going to give 3 stars based on my experience, but I truly think my experience over the weekend was not an everyday occurrence. I decided to take advantage while I was on vacation and sans kids to pamper myself. Pros: * Came in on the weekend for a pedicure and was seated at a chair within 5 minutes. * They have excellent polish brands - Essie (my favorite), OPI, China Glaze - and a decent variety of colors. * After seeing my neighbor's nail color and having color envy, I asked if I could switch my colors (before polish was put on), and he did let me know there was a $2 up-charge for the gel. Other salons I've been to in the past hadn't done this. * I noticed that the techs were taking their time and not rushing. My tech did an excellent job of waiting a bit between color coats, which many places do not take the time to do. * I received an excellent foot/leg massage that felt amazing!!!! ... (but see "cons" below) Cons: * I was never asked which pedicure I wanted, by the receptionist or the tech. I was given the most basic, which is unfortunate since I wanted the deluxe one. * The tech began filing my nails, and I asked him if he could clip my nails first. I don't think he understood me, because he came back with more files. Eventually we were on the same page, except he only clipped 5 of my nails. When I asked him to clip all the nails, he did - but he clipped them down to the nubs except on the edges where they were sharp (and I didn't notice until I got home and had to clip them myself). They were clipped so short that it hurt when he filed my nails and it's now quite tender. * Due to the short clipping of my toenails, there was quite a bit of color/polish on my skin, as well as around my cuticles. He did not clean up around the nails, as I saw other techs doing. * The heavenly foot/leg massage was about 3-4 minutes on my right foot, and less than 1 minute on my left foot. My left foot feels gypped. ;) Overall, I had a decent experience. I love that there's a nail place in Cedarburg that I can come to while I'm on vacation and escape for a little while that doesn't kill my budget. I will definitely be back, and I truly think my experience from the weekend isn't the norm for this business. read more

This place is great - I was just there and needed to check it out. I had the older lady by the sink and she was nice. A little pricey for the general area but definitely worth the extra money. They are clean, friendly and have lots of color choices. Will definitely go back for a pedicure. One thing. I would have liked to see that was a bit better was the hand massage. It was very brief (less than 30 seconds per hand) and that is my favorite part but she did a good job overall! read more

The quality is great, the place looks amazing, and the service is good, BUT it is pricey. I go back and forth between this salon near my house, and a different one near my boyfriends house. The quality is the same but what costs $20 at my other salon costs $35 at Ritz!! I really only go here when I want my nails done for a specific day and can't get over to my other salon. And while I've only gotten it once, the pedicure I got there this past summer was not worth the money, it wasn't thorough and the massage was the shortest I've had out of any place I've gone. read more
