I explained to him what I was looking for when it came to tinting my vehicle. He is very knowledgeable and explained in detail the differences among the tints. He even showed me his personal vehicle, which was parked in front of his shop, to see what my vehicle would look like if I went with the darkness he had. I felt no pressure and he didn't try to upsell me with other options. After discussing prices, which I thought was reasonable compared to other places, and length of time of completion, I just waited in their waiting room which has water, a TV and complimentary wifi. I bought my 2021 BMW 750 here two years ago, ceramic tint on the windshield. Great! Then I took my 2022 Range Rover there last month for window tinting and PPF. The tint job was done right but the PPF on the front bumper and the side view mirrors caps were done poorly, ( see picture ) and the PPF on the doors lip came apart. I don't have a problem with paying a lot of money to get something done correctly and done professionally the first time and not a few times. Chris responded quickly, was straightforward with pricing, and provided quotes via text/Yelp with no hidden costs. He made himself available for any questions and gave me multiple options to choose from. When I arrived, he took the time to go over everything again and provided a quote for my wife's vehicle as well. At that point, it was just a matter of deciding which service I wanted. I ended up going with ceramic tint since that's what I'm used to. He quoted about 2.5-3 hours, which was completely reasonable. I arrived a bit early due to scheduling with my wife picking up the kids. While I waited outside, Chris came out, offered me a chair, and welcomed me inside even though they don't really have a formal waiting area. That level of consideration didn't go unnoticed. I chose not to stay inside long because I didn't want anyone to feel rushed, which can sometimes happen when customers are waiting closely. Once the truck was finished, I was extremely impressed. The tint came out flawless. Chris also gave honest advice about the windshield--I initially wanted 5%, but he recommended around 70% to maintain visibility while still getting heat rejection. I followed his recommendation, and it was absolutely the right call. The quality difference compared to my previous shop is very noticeable. I've inspected the tint closely and haven't found a single bubble. On top of that, he offers a lifetime warranty, which gives me even more confidence in their work. I also appreciated the honesty in pricing. I had other shops either not respond or quote significantly higher without justification. I firmly believe you get what you pay for, and while I'm not cheap, I expect value--and that's exactly what I got here. We planned to have all windows tinted, including the windshield. The team walked us through tint options, pricing, and payment details, which we appreciated. However, this consultation took about an hour, and by 11:00 AM, our vehicle had still not been started, despite having a set appointment. We were told the job would take approximately 2-3 hours due to the windshield tint, so we left and expected a call once the work was complete. Unfortunately, we did not receive any updates throughout the day. By 4:00 PM, after finishing work, we returned to the shop only to find that our car had still not been worked on. At around 4:15 PM, it was clear the vehicle hadn't even been started, and the installers were just returning from a break. We were then told there had been an "issue" with the windshield and that it would take "about another hour." Ultimately, we didn't receive our car until around 7:00 PM -- nearly nine hours after our scheduled appointment time. While the staff remained courteous throughout, the overall experience was very disappointing. The primary concerns were the lack of communication and inaccurate time estimates. If there had been delays, we would have appreciated proactive updates rather than having to return and discover the situation ourselves. Additionally, the pricing was not particularly discounted compared to other shops, which made the experience feel even less justified. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Polar Tint.
