I normally run a reasonably complex home network and my wife was very unhappy with our current networking cabinet (which was in our walk-in wardrobe). Our house had been pre-wired with cat5e cabling but many ports weren't working or working poorly. Ivan responded quickly to my requests, he came out and assessed the situation. He talked me through some different cabling options (cat5e vs cat6 vs cat6a vs cat7), network hardware options (most of this I had predetermined), and camera / surveillance options. He put together a competitive and comprehensive quote and we went ahead. All the work was done in a very professional manner and the quality of work was great. I was working from home during the installation and they were mindful of giving me notice when they'd need to do anything which would interrupt me (such as taking out the internet or doing work in the room I was using as an office). The end result is a very nice looking network. I've got all my networking equipment nicely stashed away in networking cabinets, and I'm running a 10G network which includes multiple PoE devices. I've got ethernet ports everywhere I want them (including some in the crawl space under the house), my wifi coverage is great, and I've still got space in the network cabinet for future upgrades. Most importantly, my wife is happy now that our wardrobe is clear of electronics. I've finally got the network I've always wanted. Had these guys come out to give an estimate on installing some theatre equipment and smart home options. I communicated my budget over the phone when scheduling the appointment and was told they could work with that. When they showed up to give the estimate they laughed at the budget figure I came up with (they asked if that was my "per room" budget), and turned around an estimate for 3 times my budget. It should be noted this was for new construction and all of the wiring work had been completed, and I was primarily looking for speaker suggestions and wall mounting work. I'm not saying these guys are trying to screw anyone over, but I thought it was BS that they'd charge me $220 to come give me an estimate when they knew my budget was going to be way below what they could do. read more

Due to Covid, I, like many others, find themselves working full time from home through a yet to be determined timeline when or if I'll work from an office again in the near future. And with multiple hours spend online and in countless MSFT Teams or Zoom meetings, I needed to have a network connection that was consistently strong and reliable. Plus my husband loves his online gaming. We didn't want to have multiple routers and feet of network cables stapled to the trim along the bottom of our walls throughout our home. When Ivan showed up he took the time to listen to our networking needs and we walked through the house. Less than 48 hours I had an email back from Ivan with a description of the work he wanted to do and a list of all the equipment. That list also included links to the products online so I could research what he wanted to install. We accepted his proposal and we were able to land on a time which worked for all of our schedules for the installation. The first day of the install Nick and Orlando showed up to lay the cable and place the enclosure that would house all the networking gear. The 2nd day Nick and Orlando came back to connect everything together and configure the network for us to use. These guys did a great job. They were both very professional and friendly and communicated with us throughout the entire process, taking time to answer all my questions. I just recently moved into an over 100 yr old home, and I was nervous about getting all of the internet setup cleanly with an additional unit out back. I contacted Rivas, and Ivan came out the next day. We went over my ideas for the project, and he broke it down easily and discussed multiple options. One of the notes Ivan talked about that really sold me was their process for cable management and how smooth everything looked, especially in this old house. After that, Ivan sent me a few estimates with options, and I got to pick out my dream network work essentially. They came out in about a week, said it'd take about two days, and started work. After a year of my wife working remotely from her backyard studio/office, and having to deal with internet extenders that just couldn't hack the distance through the house and backyard, I FINALLY called Rivas TecGroup to come and install a dedicated Cat6 wire from our Century Link modem to her studio. Ivan Rivas himself answered the phone; when I mentioned that it'd be easier to see what we needed if someone came out to the house and looked, he personally jumped in his truck and was at our place in a half-hour. Ivan saw right away what needed to be done, gave me a quick estimate, and scheduled two of his technicians to show up just five days later. They arrived right on time in the early AM, worked quickly and efficiently, and were completely done in just two hours (it might have taken even less time, except for the tricky bit of working the wire under and through our back deck). They completely cleaned up whatever debris came from drilling a couple holes, and now for the first time in ages my wife has our full fiber optic speed at her fingertips in her workspace. Great job all around, and the price was more than fair for the result.
