As someone with European roots, I felt the history of the fairytale home coupled with the contemporary amenities and the most loving hosts. If you are looking for a small, quaint, and very special ceremony with the focus on only the two of you, this is your place. We glanced into each other's eyes during the ceremony and never stopped being mesmerized with each other through this day. We couldn't have asked for better hosts--- An older couple who truly understand everlasting love (which is the only love that belongs in the Storybook Cottage). As a bonus, we had the most caring and perfect photographer (recommended by the hosts). We will always remember this special day (completed with the most delicious breakfast) and hope to return for many anniversaries to come--- It is very difficult to find the perfect spouse. The views are also great. And the breakfasts.....let me tell you about the breakfasts. Handmade by the hosts, multiple courses, all fresh local ingredients. Homemade bread and pastries, omletes with local Vermont cheese, potatoes, fresh fruits, juice, coffee....we were stuffed every morning. The only thing better than the breakfasts were the hosts themselves. Just the nicest couple you'd ever want to meet. They made themselves available for anything we needed. Donna gave us dinner recommendations and would include printed directions to the restaurants. She is so knowledgeable about all there is to do in the area. Clifford was so kind and accommodating as well. We arrived on motorcycle and he insisted on us keeping it in his garage. He also offered us his rain gear upon our departure because it was drizzling. He even followed up with us after to make sure we had arrived home safely. So in short. Beautiful accommodations. Great views. Amazing breakfast. Kind and helpful hosts. You really couldn't ask for more. I'll be staying here again for sure.

We stayed in the king bed master bedroom which was quite spacious and well kept. The house is nestled in an 18 acre forest which is breathtaking. I also had a delicious made to order cheese omlette. This place is everything you would want in a B&B, hospitality and service and beauty are all packaged in at Farmwood Meadows.

Our room was lovely, with comfortable twin beds, down pillows, and an incredible view in the morning. We slept very well. Our host, Pan, was a real delight! She provided a good breakfast with homemade jam and a lot of helpful information about Williamstown, where we had never been. We had a terrific weekend and will certainly stay there again.

If you aren't expecting much and aren't in a hurry, then you will be fine. When we first walked in we all looked at each other and all but laughed b/c it smelled like "old people" and the 3 locals in there turned and stared at us until we were seated. The other review mentioned the older waitress, and I wonder if we had the same one. She was one of the oldest waitresses I have ever had and while very sweet, was also very, very slow. It was a little amusing that she brought out each plate (walking very slowly), one at a time. The food itself was average breakfast fare (it was lunchtime, but she gave us breakfast menus). I'm not a fan of American as my omelet cheese, but it was otherwise a good omelet. I was a little sad that it didn't come with any sort of potato, but do I really need potato at every meal? Probably not. When I informed our waitress (I never saw anyone else working there, though I assume there was a least cook) that there wasn't any toilet paper she said, "oh, one minute..." and came back with two rolls which she handed to me and then walked away leaving me to walk across the restaurant with my rolls of toilet paper. It somehow didn't seem odd at the time either.

I booked our stay before the grand opening, trusting only the few glimpses shared on IG and I am so glad I did. Every detail here feels intentienal and true to what is promised... peaceful, beautifully designed, and surrounded by the kind of quiet that lets you disconnect and reconnect. The sunrise views, crisp mantain air, and thoughtful touches made our visit unforgettable. The cabins themselves have everything you need, robes, a hot tub, grill, small kitchenette with a mini fridge that can fit quite a bit. If driving I highly recommend bringing a cooler with ice and lots of easy to prepare foods if staying for several days. They do have a mini market on site, but not a big selection of items - at least at that time. There is also a Big Y grocery store about 20-30 mins away. We look forward to coming back and seeing how Hinata continues to grow.
