We had an outstanding experience at Marcum's Nursery!…read more When we arrived, we knew we needed plants for three whiskey barrels in full sun and one barrel in full shade, but beyond that, we had no idea what we were doing. As soon as we walked through the door, Kelly introduced himself and asked how he could help. After we explained our situation, he immediately knew exactly what we needed. He guided us to some beautiful clearance hanging plants that were perfect for our barrels and helped us gather everything necessary to make them thrive, including soil, fertilizer, and water supplements. What impressed us most was how easy he made the entire process. As non-plant people, we were feeling overwhelmed and unsure about making the right choices. Kelly took all the anxiety out of the experience, answered our questions, and confidently led us to the perfect setup for our yard. The service was fast, efficient, and incredibly friendly. We left with great plants, all the supplies we needed, and the confidence to make our yard look fantastic. If you're looking for knowledgeable staff and exceptional customer service, Marcum's Nursery is the place to go. We'll definitely be back!

Love love flowers... I stopped by today to get Snapdragons…read more Since they are a cool weather flower, usually hard to find in May or June. I am planting them in a pot for my porch. When it gets warmer I will move to the side of house for some shade. They had them in all colors. All the flowers were so pretty and blooming! This place is huge. Anything your looking for, it's here. Flowers, trees, bushes, hanging plants, pots , garden supplies. I usually like to spend some time going down every Isle. Total Price is usually HIGH... but flowers make me happy. Today they were moving all flowers in to protect from high winds and storms coming in. After the last frost, this place will be packed with customers. Some popular flowers like white with red Perwinkles go fast. Workers are helpful, Cashiers nice. Restrooms. Just need vending machine for cold drinks and maybe a bench or two to sit and enjoy the views. Could make a backdrop with flowers around for pictures. This generation loves selfies! Lol Need a gift, buy a pot, plant a flower to give. Feeling down, go flower shopping. "Stop and smell the Roses"

On Mother's Day my husband took me to the TLC on Memorial to select an orchid. I have 6 orchids in…read moremy home and know how to care of them. The orchid I chose at TLC had a couple of areas on the leaves that looked like cotton. I took it back to the information desk and the women wiped off the white area and told me it would be fine. My husband purchased the orchid for me for $60.00. Unfortunately, the white chalky substance kept coming back. I googled the information and found out it had mealybugs. I followed the directions to clean the area with alcohol. After trying to remove it for two months without success, I took the plant back to TLC today to ask for help. Paul, the manager was at the front door and told me to go to the middle of the store to talk to the woman at the information desk. She determined the mealybugs were in the potting media which is why I could not eliminate them with alcohol. She said she could repot the orchid but there would be a cost. Obviously, the potting media was infected when the orchid was purchased two months ago. I was insulted when told I would have to pay for the repotting process. I spoke with the manager, Paul, and he told me house plants do not have any type of warranty. I learned a lesson today. I will not buy house plants from TLC! I will buy them at a business that carries a warranty for a third of the cost! Susan M Reply to Frank on July 18 Frank, I would appreciate a retraction on your response. The orchid WAS purchased at TLC on May 6! The above story is accurate except for the amount spent ($50 instead of $60). I had not looked up the receipt before coming by TLC yesterday. The reference number on the receipt is 32073802. The total amount spent that day was $122.70. I have 6 very healthy orchids purchased at different locations. The white pot left with the orchid must have been switched while watering. The orchid purchased from Whole Foods is healthy and doing well. Actually, over the years I have never had a problem with an orchid being affected with mealybugs except for the orchid purchased at TLC. One statement you made is correct. This is the first review I have made on YELP because I wanted to let others know that customer service is questionable at your business. I understand policy is policy on the return of houseplants. I was not upset until being told there would be a charge to repot the plant. It didn't make sense for me as the customer, to pay to correct a problem that I wasn't responsible for. It would have cost very little for your employee to offer to repot the plant for free.

I recently took up succulents keeping as a hobby even though my thumbs are far from green. My first…read morebaby succulents were adopted from Walmart and Lowe's so this was the first time venturing out to a plant nursery. As always, I conferred with Yelp and decided on Calvert's. The first thing I noticed was how charming it looked from the road. We turned into the nursery and down a path full of gorgeous ceramic plant pots of all sizes and colours. Parking was ample and convenient. As we entered the green house we were greeted by a friendly "hello". My eyes lit up at all the pretty decorations, plants, and flowers as I scanned for succulents. All their plants look well cared for. Green and luscious. Healthy. There were many succulent varieties and I felt like a kid in a candy shop. As I'm fairly new to the hobby (been at it for just a month) I wanted baby succulents as I love to feel accomplished tending to them and seeing them grow. They had many 4-inch pot plants but very few 2-inchers. Still, I managed to find a baby bear's paw and cobweb plant I wanted. We went up to pay and the staff/cashiers were happy and friendly. Such a nice atmosphere! It must be so calming and pleasant to be among plants and flowers everyday for them I'm definitely coming back to check out their succulents again.

The allure of this shop is they have a lot of cute plants + fashionable containers that have found each other in a perfect marriage. Together the plant + fashionable container would look fab in your house---zero effort for the win! That easy peasey approach will cost ya. Things in here are more expensive. Although most places that do the work for you do charge a convenience fee--so no surprise there. Sometimes it's nice to pay a little more and have the plant project be done without running to several different stores (or getting your nails dirty). That's where The Plant Shoppe comes in. They do a good job of have varied price points--$10 & up. Looking for a gift...take a look here! Air plants, succulents, cacti, oh my! I do have a wish list. It includes a MUCH bigger card selection. Let's lean into this one stop shop idea a bit more: I would love to see some custom merch--think (branded) cork plant mats, small chic (branded) watering cans, more macrame!, a chic plant mister (I'm using an ugly repurposed plastic spray bottle at home now)...the possibilities are endless! They are just taking stride in their brand new space--possibilities abound! I'll be around to cheer them on for a long time to come! #shoplocal #localOKC #plantsmakepeoplehappy April 2019

5 for coolness factor (mostly because of the location, next door to Stitch)…read more 4 for selection. 2 for service. 1 for price point. I guess if I averaged this out I should be rating The Plant Shoppe a 4 but I just couldn't do it. This place has been on my radar for a while because of the succulents and as we walked by one evening (after closing time), we saw a huge and beautiful bird of paradise int he window. We went back to inquire. There was only one other person in the shop. We waited patiently until she left to inquire. We were simply told, "It's not for sale" and the clerk immediately went back to her phone. We did end up buying some totally overpriced cacti. I might be back. Work on friendliness though.
