Was not impressed. We reserved lanes online less than 24 hours. Had to pay for the two hours and the shoes before to reserve the lanes. When we got there only 10 of the 12 people were able to bowl but since they have something on their website stating that you have to tell them 24 hours in advance that you need to cancel they wouldn't refund us the money for the shoes. We weren't aware of that and the manager said nope we need 24 hours notice. I think he's a little to money hungry if you ask me. We still came and bowled not sure why they can't at least refund us the shoes. Also asked if they could change up the music since not all of us love country music as much as they obviously do. They didn't change until I asked again. I just was very disappointed. Especially with the amount of money we spent there. read more

River city is a great little bowling alley that really is fun if you go to their cosmic bowling nights! Staff is very friendly and customer service is great! I recommend this bowling place for individuals who like to slam a few drinks down and bowl a couple rounds with the music blasting!! read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE experience. Owner's son was extremely rude and insensitive after coming up to the counter to ask for a refund with our special needs child. The machine's scoring was messed up for 6 frames. The balls were pooling behind the pins for more than 10 minutes at a time, 4-5 balls at a time between our lane and the one next to us 13/14. He said "do machines always operate right?" Um, no, but completely ignoring customers until the 3rd time coming to the counter to report the issues, the experience was overall horrible. Family driving from out of town, Ellensburg, combined with the way he was treating my special needs daughter and myself was so incredibly out of line! The manager was extremely nice, as was the gentleman that was finally asked to help with the ball issue. It was THE OWNER's son that was awful. Never, ever would I recommend this place, nor will I ever return. HORRIBLE. I had to chose a 'star' for the post to work. They don't deserve even one. read more

Very disappointed in the bowling alley tonight.... we waited for 90 minutes for a lane and we were told it would just be one hour.... other people were going in front of us to the lanes and it felt very unfair..... drink menu is poor ... and did not offer prices.... wine tasted like the bottom of a shoe. Visiting from California for a wedding and brought the kids in for an afternoon of bowling on a rainy day. There was a tournament going on so they let us know we would have to wait until it was over. We ordered some food and let the kids play in the arcade. Once we noticed the tournament had cleared up went to the counter and was told not yet, the area needs to clear up. Waited about 20 minutes more, asked again and was told we had to wait. As we were getting the kids rounded up to cash in their tickets for prizes was ignored for at least 10 minutes. Then at least 4 other parties were taken care of promptly. I could understand if it was super busy and they were short handed, but it was not. Disappointed since we chose this place over triple play. read more

This is my third visit to this bowling ally and I'm going to say that this visit extremely disappointed me. We came on the Brooklyn night on wed night and we were the only people there. Our lane broke down three time so we were moved to a different lane. After only 10 min, the new lane we were at, also started having issues. For the whole 3 hours of bowling that we paid for, we only bowled about 2 hours from all their technical difficulties. Also, since we were the only ones there, we requested different music and was met with an eye roll and annoyed attitude from the worker. Heaven forbid that your customer would want to request some different music other than your thuggish rap that your playing in North Idaho!! read more

What can I say. It's a bowling alley, arcade, bar, night club and so much more. This is a great local place for the entire, family day or night. The staff is Johnny on the spot for bowling issues, the food and drinks are good and everyone always seems to have a fun time as it's always packed. You can bowl late into the night and after that the bar stays open until 3am or so and again is always packed with locals. Come in for a good time, you'll be happy you did. read more

When my sister-in-law suggested that we eat dinner at a bowling alley, I wasn't too optimistic. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only is this a charming, wood-benched place to bowl, but it has the best, freshest pub food I have had in a long time - a perfectly done chicken burger and delicious pizza! The bowling alley is a good mix of vintage and modern, there is a fun game arcade, the bar is friendly, and the food and beer excellent. Kids and adults had a great time. This is a nice bowling alley, have bowled here and came to there bar for karaoke, food is good but a tad on the high side for price on food, they also have a game room for the kids but it's not very big, as for bowling they seem to have all the modern technology, I would say the only thing this place needs is to update the outside read more

Had never been to this bowling alley before and I will most definitely be coming back. Husband and I celebrated my brothers birthday and the staff was very attractive, making sure everything was okay. The pizza was amazingly good and the best part was all we had to do was bring the kids, cake and presents. Would recommend to everyone. read more

I grew up in Coeur d'Alene. Never really went to River City Lanes until the last few years, but now I go every year when I'm home for the holidays, and I keep coming back because it's a great time. The people are friendly and the service is excellent. The food and drinks are great, and the bar is a good time. As for bowling, the lanes and machines are a bit older but work well and are very well kept, and the shoes are like new. Every time I go it seems like they've made improvements, first updating the bar and the menu, then adding a the outdoor patio, and now there's a lot of new arcade games, so between bowling, arcade, darts, and drinking/eating, it's a great place to bring my family and friends. The batting cages outside also look like a great time, though I haven't used them yet. Overall, I much prefer this place to Sunset or Triple Play. read more
