My masseuse checked in a few times to make sure the pressure was fine. There are also hot stones included in the $50/hour massage. Overall, it was a good experience and I would come back, especially since it feels clean. Tip - it's located on a Main Street, so there is no parking lot but it wasn't too busy in the area during the time we went, so street parking is not impossible. She asked whether I want to try something different and suggested lowlights - I had never heard of the term but figured they're like highlights, just less obvious. The first and last time I had had toned down my hair (highlights, actually) was 22 years ago, but the AI photo apps had all suggested recently that I go blonde, so I thought this may be a first step in that direction. She said how long it takes depends on the individual's hair but should take no more than an hour, and I was intrigued. I can do an hour. I told her I really don't want that overbleached, orangish yellow color, and she was on the same page. We were going to aim for a light brown, but that could mean any number of things, right? It came out a copper-bronze that adds just a touch of light around my face. The color looks more obvious in certain angles depending on how my hair is tousled or parted, and I love how it shows up more prominently in the under-layers of my hair and when I put it up in a bun! This is a result of her gathering my hair, then taking some away in a zigzag before bleaching what remained in hand. I really like that she made the bleached hair blend with my natural hair. Btw, she's pretty opinionated and has a lot of comments, but knows her stuff. If you've ever been scared about toning down your hair color, give lowlights a try! It's very affordable here even with the wash and cut afterward. I was here a total of 1:30 including my wash and cut, during which three people walked in. She had to turn them away since she was doing my hair; one person came back at a time she had told him. Glad to see that it's a happening place but that she takes walk-ins like I did :D

The co-ed section is even more cozy -- two saunas and a small lounge. On the day I visited, I found my fellow spa-goers to be friendly and open, and from what I gathered from chatting with folks, that seems to be the norm. I'll certainly be back at some point.

Just really have to ignore the construction site, but where else you going to get a pretty view of the NYC skyline, wading in a pool on some upper floor? When we had our fill, we went to check out the other sections. The outdoor garden pool area was cool. I liked the different types of heated water and the nice waterfall. Still crowded. Went upstairs to the different saunas - they were really nice! My favorite was the K-body scrub. For 30 minutes, it was $75, which was totally worth it! All other places I've been to, made you do it for an hour with all this other foo-foo stuff and I loved that this K-body scrub was just a K-body scrub! Oh the feel of cleanliness! The food court area had really good food! Although overcrowded, it was well organized and thought out with how they serviced. (I've been to worse spas). We went to the quiet area to catch a nap before our 4 hour drive. People do NOT know how to be quiet in a quiet area and they had attendants shushing people but that didn't really do much. There was a cool Japanese sand experience that you can see from the food court window, watching all these people get buried under the black sand for treatment. Maybe I would try on a future visit. The infinity pool on the rooftop was beautiful. But once again crowded with people who were trying to get a break from the city. Young people who wanted a social place to eat, drink, hang out and get a tan while wading in the pool with the beautiful skyline of NYC. Yes, I would definitely go back even though it was so crowded. It was a great experience. I would have given 5 stars if not for how annoyed I was with people. I really enjoyed the esthetics of the place, the food, and the bath house inside with the hot tub and cold plunge. My favorite is still the K-body scrub. If I'm in that area again, I would definitely give it another go.
