We were at the Pioneer for some late-night slot playing and hadn't had dinner yet. Someone in our group mentioned that they had great pizza, so we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! We tried their Meat Lovers pizza and ordered a large for our group of six, and we still had leftovers. Let me tell you, I was so impressed by this little pizza hole-in-the-wall inside a casino. The dough, the crust, the tomato sauce, and all of the ingredients were top-tier. Everything was so good, and I definitely will be having this again. I think they also sell pizza by the slice, which is a great option if you're just looking for something quick. They also got major brownie points with me when I saw that they carry Thrifty ice cream. I definitely had to get a cone of pecan praline in a sugar cone, and it definitely hit the spot! The employees here are also very nice, and they have seating inside. When we asked for boxes to take our leftovers to go, they were very accommodating. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza was. Awesome little pizza shop inside the Pioneer Casino. Arguably the best pizza I've had here in Laughlin! The dough has a nice, soft chew and is delicious! They are very generous with the toppings. I really loved all the different meats on the pizza. I added green peppers to feel a bit healthier by adding a veggie, and the jalapeños adds a nice spicy kick. This is my favorite go to for pizza. Location, service and taste are the biggest positives. It is easy to find inside the Pioneer. It can be seen from the front entrance, near the security desk and Bumbleberries. Inside seating is very limited. 3 small tables inside and 1 just outside the doorway. Cashier/servers are prompt to greet you as you walk through the doorway and very friendly. Menu is posted on the wall behind the counter and easy to read. They have a good selection of ingredients to create your own or make accommodations. Each pizza is loaded with your choices and very tasty. They also have Thrifty ice cream for dessert or cookies. It only takes about 10 min for your pizza to be ready. You can easily go enjoy the casino while you wait. Price is very reasonable. I'll definitely be returning. read more

Open the latest out of all the nearby pizzerias in our area ! We ordered a couple pies and the kids loved it. Went with the sausage, and one with pepperoni with half jalapeño, ooh it was spicy! Well, this use to be the place I would highly recommend, unfortunately it has been a while since I have been here. Let's just say it is not what it use to be. They made ordering very specific, they ask what you don't want on it. No problem, unfortunately 45 minutes later I received my pizza with what I did not want on it. This review is more about the staff, specifically Renee, who works the counter. While waiting for our pizza, my husband, a Type 1 Diabetic, started experiencing a low glucose episode. The gift shop for Pioneer was closed while the staff was on break. I quickly asked Renee if we could get a soda for my husband, explaining the diabetic condition. She acted swiftly, stopped what she was doing, and got us what he needed. She understood the severity of the situation and was gracious in the process. I just tried a cheese pizza from River Rick's. Unfortunately it was very oily for a cheese pizza. It didn't even have the color of a cheese only pizza. The taste of pepperoni was loud and clear with every bite. I don't eat pepperoni. I don't even like pepperoni. The oil on my pizza and the coloration was exactly what you would see and expect on a pepperoni pizza. I'm sorry but this one is an epic "fail". I want to know whether your pie maker had put pepperoni on this pizza, partially cooked it, then removed it after noticing the error.
