I recently changed dental office to be closer to my new house. It was very easy to get an appointment and there was very little wait to see the provider. Office is more traditional and you're taken to a room for service and much quieter and private. Dentist cleaned teeth instead of a hygienist. Friendly and very detailed on recommendations. They had two hrs while I was in the dental chair to verify insurance before having me pay $700 on teeth I can't use now!! Plus, want to charge $173 for exam and xrays all because the office staff didn't do their job of verifying my dental coverage. I have insurance but turns out it's HMO not PPO. Was told I needed extractions, paid for partial denture to be made and ready for on extraction day. Three weeks after first visit & day before surgery they call saying they don't take my insurance! They should have verified that while I was in the office those 2hrs. Now I have a $700 partial I can't use until I find another dentist and they will probably have a different treatment plan. read more

Dr. Jang is wonderful! I'm a nervous wreck at the dentist having had a bad experience in the past at another clinic. Both Dr. Jang and the staff are so calming, patience, and understanding. As a new patient to this practice I had eight cavities filled here after not going to the dentist for about eight months. At my initial examination I was told this was necessary. Previously to this had regular cleanings at a different practice and was very conscious about cleaning/flossing my own teeth. I have never really had issues with my teeth or cavities so I did find it weird that I needed so many cavities filled especially when it had only been around eight months since my last cleaning. This specific River Rock doesn't seem to have as many reviews like what I am about to mention, but I know the other ones do. By this I mean the other ones seem like total cash grabs/upselling/messing up financials/crown issues which seems very unethical for this type of practice. After speaking to a different dentist they mentioned I should have gone to a different dentist for a second opinion as they believe needing anything more than five cavities filled a red flag. I didn't do this and maybe I should have so I guess I am just posting this to see if anyone else has had a similar experience as this would be insurance fraud IF so. Maybe I really did have this many cavities, but it's been on the back of my mind since I got them filled and it hurts to chew still after having them filled and have never had issues like this. Plus after hearing this from another dentist really made me rethink this experience. It takes six months to five years for a cavity to develop. So in eight months I got eight cavities??? These people make me want to comeback even though I've hated my dentist visits. I mainly doing this also because Amanda was awesome. They did an amazing job pulling out a cracked and broken infected wisdom tooth so I went back for a deep cleaning. I had about 20 years worth of untreated gum disease, tartar and calculus build up that has been plaguing me for a long time. My hygienist, Max, is super friendly, non-judgmental, and very professional, but most importantly, SKILLED. He was fast and efficient. He said my recovery time would be about 2 weeks, but I'm here at day 3 feeling like myself again, with not much sensitivity or pain at all. Fast healing means quality work done. I'll be going back in another two weeks to finish the right side and I no longer have any anxiety about the procedure. In fact, I plan on going back for many things that need done. This is from someone who avoided Dentists for decades. The front staff is always friendly and always working their butts off to insure your appt is on time. I gave them a second chance because maybe the initial appt was long. My daughter was seen much quicker, the sister at was okay but I did want to be with her after they took X-rays and they didn't respect that. I had to ask what was taking long. Overall I think there may be more training required. I did not feel quality service was given even by Dr. I will be seeking another dentist. read more

Went here to treat my tooth that cracked in two. The doctor suggested an extraction because the tooth couldn't be saved, and to get an eventual implant. I was explained the procedure and everything was going well. During the process I was told that a part of the filling from the tooth next to the one extracted has chipped, but no big deal she is going to fix it. When I got home and looked in the mirror, I saw that the tooth next to the one extracted looked like half of what it used to look like. I got an appointment to follow up regarding that, the doctor acted like she didn't get why I came back, but fixed the tooth to look like a normal one anyways. I really wished that I was told what happened when it happened,. I wish they were honest with me and gave me the options to fix it, or to get a crown on it. I was told at the first appointment that I would need a crown for the tooth that they chipped, along with plenty of other work needed to be done. This is the reason why I didn't remember or thought of it while my tooth was extracted. Instead, I was sent home with a tooth that looked like half of one, and when I came back nobody apologized, in fact I was treated like I was asking for a lot. They just swept it under the rug, like nothing happened. During all three appointments the doctor looked like she was in a hurry, there was always another patient waiting, and I felt like my treatment was done in a hurry just to get to the next patient. The reason I had this problem in the first place was because of bad dental work by previous doctors, you can't point out all the wrong things done before this by other doctors, and send me home with a half of a tooth. I had called to see if they did extractions confirmed told them about the WISDOM EXTRACTS WHICH THEY STILL CONFIRMED made an appointment to come in for X-rays $80 for them to just refer me to parkside on south park meadows which I had to pay again for X-rays. Why couldn't you just refer me then waste of time and money. Wouldn't recommended anyone. read more

Went in to get a basic cleaning which he refused to do. Claimed I needed deep cleaning for $600 plus. I'm elderly and living on social security and just want my usual 6 mo cleaning. The reason my teeth are as good as they are is because I do maintenance cleaning. They got my exam money though. Sad what it's come to. read more

Im not a big fan of going to the dentist, however the staff at Rivef Rock made me feel welcomed. There was no waiting. The hygenist was very professional and explained everything that she was doing to my teeth. The dentist thoroughly explained what she was examining and the results. I must admit I haven't been to the dentist in a while (shame on me) due to anxiety of it all but after cancelling my appt the previous week I finally went in for my exam and cleaning and initially walking in I was greeted with warm smiles and after I finished my paperwork was taken straight back I got a ton of ex rays and total reassurance to calm my nerves and the plus was one of my fave cooking shows was one (very good distraction for me) the hygienist came in shortly after and cleaned my teeth to perfection (almost, found a couple of cavities though ) then the dentist came in to go over everything with me and a action plan so I must say I was stressing over absolutely nothing everyone in this office was amazing and I'm on the road to healthier teeth thanks River Rock yall rock! read more

I had a good experience with Dr. Booth here. Currently using the S Lamar location since it's a little closer to my house and seeing Dr. Booth's brother. Both are great dentists. I felt very comfortable in this office and would use it again, if I couldn't get in at my primary location. read more

Had an appointment for my son scheduled on Saturday 17th at 8am get there and the office is close I understand maybe they were running late gave them 15 min to show up and nobody, my son is 2, couldn't wait any longer. And after I confirmed through text message and email, it would of been nice if they had called me and told me appointment or office was close on Friday. read more

I paid over $1,000 dollars for a crown that the dentist not only recommended but talked me into. I told them I had fears that there was not enough tooth left for the crown to stay in place and the dentist argued that they could make it stay in place and made me feel that I truly needed to save the tooth. Now just like I said (the non-dental professional) the cap has fallen off and now in order to have it put back in I am being charged $200 for a new build up that the other dentist already did and the re-cementing of the tooth that the dentist assured me would stay intact. Up-selling clients and then not even fixing their mistakes. This office has a high turn over and they do not take responsibility for each others work. No customer service. Not good. read more

Worse experience ever my appt was at 12 I waited for more than 4 hours to get called. The girls in the font desk are flat out Rude with a shity attitude. I kept asking how long it was gonna take all they could say was 15 to 30 mins and they just said that every hour. After waiting for soooo long I had to come back the very next morning because the crown they put had fallen only one hour after I left the office, and even after they place it back on that morning, it still was not placed on right. I am no dentist but I could see a gap between the edge of the crown and the gums, where eventually food and bacteria will get in which could become a very ugly infection, but all they had to say was to wait and see what would happen. We arrived early for your our appointment and still waited an additional 25 minutes for anyone to see my daughter. We were only there for a cleaning. The dental hygienist who came in to help us was extremely impatient and disrespectful when she entered the room. I explained to the staff that we had been left in a room waiting for an inordinate amount of time. The dentist ended up cleaning my daughters' teeth. She apologized for our wait but it left a bad taste in my mouth for future care. It appears the employee went out and shared with all the other staff that we were not happy with our treatment...completely unprofessional. read more

Had a very decent overall experience here this past past Monday. Unfortunately, I had not been to the dentist in about seven years. It was definitely time! I have been driving past this location numerous times and decided to give them a call and see if they could still see me even though I do not have dental coverage. They were kind enough to inform me that they would see someone like me and the fee for the exam and cleaning would be just $49. As one of the other reviews for this location states, the hygienist Lisa is extremely friendly, polite, patient and just an overall nice person to have working inside your mouth for so long. She informed me of the problem areas with my teeth and stressed the importance of daily flossing, which I am now doing. I will be returning for some fillings in the near future (don't skip going to the dentist!) And I did go ahead and schedule my next appointment for six months out. Not going to take away a star over it, but the only downside was the girl up front when I checked in. They would do well to get someone else in her position who doesn't mind dealing with the public. read more

The service here is bad. I had a 10:00 appointment, it's now 11:00, according to the lady at the front desk I am either next or there is one person ahead of me. She could really be sure, she can't give me an estimate of how much longer it will be, and she could really care less. I should have never used a dentist located on a trashy shopping center.
