Everything. Our room faced the Green River with summer breezes, birds, and flowing river. The breakfasts are made to order, included with the room. The staff were very service oriented and friendly. The wonderful Tamarisk Restaurant is right next door, also on the river. The hotel is older but impeccably maintained and clean. The rooms are huge and include sofa and a big chandelier! We stayed here in 2016 and again in 2026. It's at least as wonderful a stay as ten years ago. Green River is perfectly centered between Arches/Canyonlands and Capital Reef on I-70. Really enjoyed our stay at the River Terrance Inn in Green River. All the way from the online booking to checking in was a pleasant experience. Friendly staff, low key location by the river, comfortable beds, affordable and good included breakfast. The place is dated with some upgrades, but the history and nostalgic of it in my mind trumps any new hotel. Things to also keep in mind is this location is only an hour away from Goblin State Park and Arches national park. There is also a very popular restaurant called Tamarisk next to it which served some amazing home cooked style food. read more

Don't let the idea of a small town deter you from staying here. I love this hotel and I am so glad we chose to stay here during our trip. I love the vibe, the furniture is gorgeous and well maintained, it's a mix of traditional and modern style and they've done a great job. The restaurant next door is really good too, there isn't much option to eat over here but the Dr next door stays open until 9 which was super appreciated coming in so late and starving. The hotel has breakfast included, mostly the basics but they do offer to cook a few offered options too. Reasonably priced, and just off the highway. read more

We stopped after a long day. The room was large, the cost was much better than the IHG. They have a cook to order breakfast in the morning. I'm looking forward to seeing if they can get my gluten free need covered. There was a lot of feather pillows. They had some poly fill ones we could get. A little noice from the truck traffic. No elevator. Will be a revisit. They are pet and smoking free. Wonderful. The cook to order breakfast was disappointing. Eggs of all types. No gluten free options. I wouldn't call it cooked to order. On a cross country trip recently, we stopped at the River Terrace Inn in Green River, Utah. Although is not a new hotel, it compares very favorably with many of the large chains that we have stayed with. Our room was immaculate and generously supplied with towels. The grounds are very pleasant with shade trees by the river, and everything was swept and cleaned beautifully. The pool and outdoor sitting areas looked inviting, although we didn't have time to use them. The Tamarisk Restaurant is associated with the property, and for dinner we appreciated their deliciously prepared food, the competent and friendly staff, and the view of the river. They offer guests a free made-to-order breakfast in their small breakfast room, and we enjoyed an omelette as well as fruit, yogurt, and a cinnamon roll. River Terrace is an excellent value for the money, and we thank them for their high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. read more

The property is next to the Green River, and rooms have a balcony where you can sit and enjoy the river flowing by. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are well furnished. The staff is friendly and reacts quickly to any customer concerns. The hotel breakfast, which is included, is head and shoulders above the complementary breakfasts provided at most hotel chains. You order an entrée such as a variety of omelettes, for example, then there are lots of sides, such as potatoes toast, cinnamon rolls, fruit, breakfast meat, and more. And the coffee is even good. Staying one night driving from Denver back to Reno NV. I stayed at this hotel many years ago, and it was wonderful. Room was big and immaculate, with nice balcony overlooking river. Woman at front desk was pleasant. Beautiful terrace with couches and chairs down by river with two outdoor fireplaces. I went down and sat there until it got dark, wonderful, peaceful. The room was super clean. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast the next day was great! The views of the river were nice. The only thing we didn't try was the pool because we got there too late but even that was a beautiful setting. We stayed at some top name hotels this trip like Best Western & Hiltons and this was by far the best!!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants cleanliness and comfort. Nice large rooms, we got three together. Equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig. The bathroom has a large counter, very spacious. Six pillows per bed! And free made to order breakfast. Huge room and bathroom - a little outdated but we're not picky about that for an overnight stay. We didn't have a river view room but again, not that big a deal. Comfy beds, very clean. We appreciated having more than one table/chair in the room. Patio was nice. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast fare - staffed by a really friendly dude. Downside was a pack of smokers outside our window which made us have to shut the window. We like natural air better than a/c so it was annoying. Not sure if it was a designated smoking spot or not. This is a balance of meh and yah... The rooms are great. I enjoyed my stay, and was wanting for nothing as far as a comfy bed and basic amenities. I was on the wrong side to see the "river," but that was not a problem as I was reserving late in the day and only staying one night. The front desk was friendly and sweet. I checked in very late because of the nature of my job. Still, my reservation was upheld and the front desk service was fantastic. The breakfast was on par with most breakfast-serving hotels. They have "seating," which basically means they tell you where to sit, and judge your clothing. They tried to stick to the "no shirt, no shoes, no service" racist, biased BS. Well, I was wearing a shirt (as a DD, I find that NOT wearing a shirt gets me better service...but I digress...) I had just walked down from my room at crack of ass in the morning, so I did not bother with shoes. They tried to convince me that this was against the law. ...they messed with the wrong barefoot ginger... When I presented them with the facts, they referred me to the manager. The manager looked up the laws and found that they were LYING (as many businesses do), and then talked to her staff. I enjoyed an amazing breakfast with many options. I absolutely will return. Learn the laws, folks. You would have gotten a 5-star review if you weren't ignorant and judgemental. read more

Might look like a typical motel at first glance, but this place is awesome! Definitely the best lodging in Green River. The rooms are lovely and the beds are just about as comfortable as it gets. Absolutely gorgeous view of the Green River, it was literally right outside our back door. Breakfast was free and made to order! Very unexpected for hotel breakfast, the french toast was to die for. If you ever find yourself near Green River, UT this is the place to stay! Big clean rooms with a great free breakfast. You order your main dish from a menu. I got a vegetable omelet and french toast. Tasted very fresh and homemade. They also have a good restaurant next door which is a huge plus. We had dinner there when we arrived and really enjoyed it. It is about an hour drive to Arches National Park. This hotel was better and cheaper than anything I could find in Moab. I am very glad we stayed here and highly recommend it. read more

Yelp steers us in the right direction again. Yelp and Booking.com were the ticket. This hotel has been in Green River for many years. and has been upgraded and well maintained. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. We had a room on the river side so were ale to sit on the balcony in the evening and enjoy the cool night air. The grounds are beautiful and groomed with plenty of room to walk and sit in a quiet spot and enjoy the scenery. Breakfast was good. The best part was the made to order omelette. It was moist with just a bit of crust on the outside and tasty cheese filling. My husband had the ham and cheese omelette and he deemed it delicious. The sides were marginal. The bacon was limp and greasy. The raisin bread was good, but the line was too long for the single toaster so I just had it cold. We ended up going to breakfast late and it was quite crowded. Carlos, the lone person working the breakfast room, did an amazing job of trying to keep up with the seating, taking orders, cooking the food, and cleaning the tables. I think they may need to consider hiring another person to help with the breakfast. For me, the biggest negative is it is a bit pricy for the level of accommodations. It is nice and a lot is included - full breakfast, free wifi, nice grounds - but at almost $150 a night it felt a little expensive I would very much choose to stay here again when traveling between Reno and points east. I would even consider making this a "home base" for visiting the numerous attractions in the area. read more

INTEGRITY! They found my diamond anniversary ring and returned it to me via registered mail. I was so concerned when I realized I left my three-carat anniversary band in the room. After driving 9+hours, and having a difficult time finding a room to stay for the night due to every hotel being booked, I came across this inn. I called and spoke to a kind young lady who made me a reservation very quickly and I told her I'd be there in an hour. As soon as we arrived, she knew it was me and was very hospitable. I previously worked at the Front Desk for a luxury hotel, and she is a good asset to your establishment. After a long day of driving we wanted something hot to eat and a comfortable place to stay. River Terrace in provided all that we needed. The hotel staff was fantastic the price was reasonable and the accommodations were comfortable. I especially loved the Keurig coffee maker. We've been toting around our Keurig K cups for 3000 miles and this is the first place that we got to use our own coffee. A small luxury for those who like the coffee that they drink every day. Be sure to request a river view room. Ours had a lovely view that was a stark contrast to the typical parking lot view when staying at other quick sleep stops. The only downside that we can share is the beds were more firm that we prefer. Additionally, there is no elevator. read more

If you're lucky enough to get a river view room you're going to enjoy your stay. If your not lucky and you get a ground floor parking lot view then you're not going to enjoy your stay. And it's not just about the view. The room we had was dark, dingy and dated and so stuffy. We couldn't even open the door to let some air or light in as there's no privacy at. On top of this we had the room next to the entrance door which has been banging shut since 6:00am this morning. All in all this has been an extremely unpleasant stay. read more

Stopped here just for an overnight rest in October 2020 as we traveled between Bryce Canyon and Arches National Parks. The room itself was large and clean, about as good as anything I could expect from a roadside inn. My biggest negative is that they were very lax about COVID-19 mask and safety requirements, and encountered a few guests in the hallways and lobby who were not wearing masks. I'm not sure that I would recommend to anyone traveling, especially during this time when cases are on the rise. read more

The room was large, tv small, friendly staff. The reason for the three stars was the "breakfast ". Coffee was weak, the chorizo cheese omit was more grease than eggs, the bacon was really thin and dripping with grease. I took one bite of the bacon and that was enough, no taste. The stale toast must have been added to soak up the grease. The breakfast container was quickly closed and deposited in the barrel with a lot of other not eaten breakfast. Thank God the is a restaurant next door which to no surprise is full of people having breakfast. read more

It's very nicely decorated, the rooms are AMAZINGLY spacious (esp. the King), and the view overlooking the river is a real treat. The only two negatives are the light switch being outside the bathroom and the mosquitos (river) at the pool which of course isn't easy for them to control. Annoying light switch outside bathroom. Body of a Cadillac, engine of a Corolla. Outstanding room. Mixed breakfast. Poor service. Given the high cost, I'd look for another option next time, but happily stay here in a pinch. The room was excellent. Room 202, the "family room". It's gigantic and there's a separate area with a murphy bed and "L" shaped couch. There's also a pull-out sofa bed. You could accommodate 8 or more adults in here and be quite comfortable; with a couple kids the space is wonderful. There is a long patio outside with a couple comfortable chairs and a table. The room somewhat disingenuously boasts a "river view." Truth is, you can only catch glimpses of the river through the heavy tree cover. Still, you can hear the water out there and the landscaping is immaculate and feels peaceful and secluded. Unfortunately, the good vibrations start and end with the room. First, they aren't too child-friendly. It's the only hotel I've stayed in where they didn't have a pack-n-play or crib on hand. They don't have a singlr high chair in the dining area either. Second, service is lack luster. When I asked if they had a crib or pack-n-play the clerk simply said "no." Not "I'm sorry but..." or "is there something else I could offer you..." etc. Just one word. NO. It was unnecessarily awkward and felt a tad hostile. Also, the stopper in our bathtub didn't work so we couldn't use the bath. My wife went to the front desk to ask about fixing it and they simply said "sorry." She literally stood there for 5-10 seconds waiting for the conclusion to "sorry..." before having to press the issue. Ultimately, they cut this janky circle out of a plastic scrap for us to put down to keep the water in the tub. Breakfast is rigidly controlled, slow and awkward. Another Yelper has described the various rules and regulations as like dining in a concentration camp. This is hyperbole. It's more like a minimum security prison cafeteria. You must present a ticket to be seated. All members of your party must be present to be seated. Food is not allowed to leave the dining area. Yet I saw housekeeping staff walking in and out, stuffing bags full of cinnamon rolls at will. They gotta eat too, but pretty tacky given all the rules guests are required to follow. They also have a notice on the breakfast ticket saying something like: "food may run out later in the morning, come EARLY to make sure you get everything." WTF? Breakfast is 6am - 9am. Are you telling me if I come at 8am I may be SOL? Again, never experienced this at a hotel. As if the burden is mine to get up early and not theirs to stock their kitchen. Attitude is exactly backwards; you're here to serve guests, not the other way around. Some items are cooked to order. In lue of a menu they have a poor soul standing at the "wait here to be seated" sign reciting everything from memory. While listing the menu, he gazes around for the next table to bus, or casts worried glances at the diminishing coffee. The line builds while your party digests the list of a dozen odd items. You're not shown a table until everyone places an order. I think they're going for a fine dining vibe here, but in the context of the understaffed dining area it comes off brusque and only serves to lengthen the wait for everyone. The omelets are really good though. Stuffed full of stuff and delightfully cheesy. Hashbrowns sit in a steam tray all morning, limp and alone, dying a sad gray death. On the whole, it was a good night's stay. The room was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. Still, for the hefty price I expected a lot more in the realm of service. read more

We came into town at 10:30 pm very tired from a long day of travel. We stopped at four hotels before we found one with a vacancy. Apparently there was an event going on. This place is amazing. Very large rooms, the best pillows ever! And to start our day a long list of made to order menu items as well as the usual breakfast spread. I had the French toast. Wow! The rooms are slightly bigger than the norm and having a small patio with nice chairs facing the river was a pretty nice bonus! It's very well maintained and the people seem very nice. Very very poor service walked in and this man seemed extremely prejudice because my friend and I are in our twenties and first thing he says is there is no smoking in the hotel (we do not smoke) now it is normal to bring up how there is no smoking as that is a rule what is not normal is how he brought it up 6 times after making it very clear and named everything else that is not allowed "now you can either follow the rules or pay the fine or you can get out of here and go shopping" if it wasn't for the fact that we just had a 10 hour drive we would have left the only good thing about the room is the WiFi! read more

2 stars because room was clean and large but that's where it stops. Zero covid precautions. Arrived to find one EE and long check in line with no social distancing and only a few guests wearing masks (ee was NOT). Although we specified river view we were given room that overlooked parking lot. "Patio/balcony" was pencil size slab of concrete. Room is outdated and strangely configured. 28 inch tv sits in large bookcase type structure that only be viewed by 1 of the two beds. Reception for tv was very fuzzy/poor quality. No wall ac/heater thermostat but an outdated floor system that kept us awake all night. Rate includes made to order breakfast which is rigidly controlled (no takeout allowed) and cook/servers didn't wear masks and there was zero seating that allowed for social distancing. We did not eat the free breakfast. avoid this place for now if you are taking covid seriously. Comfort inn is chain hotel across the street. We stayed there second night and felt safer as staff did adhere (seemingly) to CDC guidelines. read more

Been coming here for years-the drive from Vegas to Denver/Sam Diego to Denver. Is still owned by the same (90 years old) woman, and run by her daughter. The rooms are spotless. The grounds, spotless. Make sure and get a room with a balcony-it looks right over the river. No BS here: no dogs, no smoking, and a sign that says "Your kids will sit down during breakfast." Breakfast is included with room. Tonight we paid $132. I would pay this, again, due to the info above. read more

Made a last minute decision to stay the night somewhere instead of driving straight through to Colorado, and it was a great decision! Our room was spacious and comfortable, it overlooked the river, which was lovely, and the complimentary breakfast was actually very tasty! The dining area was busy when we made it in there, and a nice couple from Texas graciously shared their table with my family, so we had pleasant company with our breakfast, too. God is good! read more
