I took it to another shop in Lakewood, who finally destroyed the engine, look up 5 Star Automotive in Lakewood. These shop get away with it because mechanics are not moving into Lakewood and they know they will get more business anyway. Also, realize that in CO there are zero consumer protections against bad mechanics, the only thing you can do is take them to court.

The car is old, and I figured it probably needed additional repairs to make it safe. The staff drew up an invoice of items that needed to be fixed, sorted by priority. I wasn't certain about one top item, so a staff member showed me on the car what was wrong and explained the dire consequences that could result if it were not repaired. They were able to complete all of the requested repairs the same day. (I noticed that they asked their parts distributor to make a speedy delivery.) The staff members seemed honest and knowledgeable, and they were friendly and pleasant. I would take my car here, and I recommend it to others. I recommended it to my son.

It looks good."), and I was out in 15 minutes! They even topped off my tires for free, which had gotten low during a cold blast. Stayed in my car the whole time, which is wildly helpful with a 1 year old in tow. They had a coupon online I could use too. They'll ask what you need. Get some information on you and your vehicle if you haven't been in before. You wait in the car. Pay. Roll out. The national commercials show the bottled water and window cleaning. That wasn't my experience but it was quick and easy for sure. Price is about what you would expect for a quick in and out. Maybe a tad high but all the prices and services are clearly marked online. They do have coupons so maybe peep and save yourself $10-25. Doesn't hurt. I don't think this would be a regular occurrence for me but if you've somehow forgotten to get your oil changed or only have 20-45 minutes between appointments this is definitely a strong contender.

I got a standard oil change and the recommended 60k mile maintenance on my Civic, and I had to get a signal light assembly replaced that was severed, probably by a rodent. The part took a while to show up, but I think it was on the supply side as opposed to this shop's diligence. The shuttle service was pretty good. They dropped me off and picked me up with no hassles and it was a good conversation, too. I felt like they really cared about the quality of their work and cars in general. I would be remiss to skip over the coffee! I tried a latte while I was there and I was impressed. The flavor was just perfect, showcasing the quality of the roast. I have not been so impressed with other standalone coffee shops, so I'm considering going back just for the coffee, lol.

This all started when i dropped my car off for an oil change and found three days later that the oil cap was left off. There was a mess of engine oil throughout my engine bay. The customer service was rather appalling. I will say they gave me my money back for my oil change and $50 additional to cover the cost of the oil I had to beg my client to take me to get just so I could make it home safely. They did also state that they would clean the engine bay for me, but after the missing oil cap and the horrible customer service there was no way they were touching my car again. Now when I showed them the picture of my car yes, they saw what was missing. However, I was told that accidents happen and it was shrugged off. I spoke with the owner later in the day and he was saying everything under the sun about their personal life to make it seem that their mistake was okay. I in my industry can't make mistakes, that's the same with the auto industry. A mistake could mean life or death. Granted an oil cap won't really kill me, but for someone that works very hard for their vehicle I expect to get my car back in if not better than when I dropped it off. All in all I would never recommend this place to anyone one. If you're in Lakewood and looking for a great automotive shop head up to Simply Auto on Union.
