Tried Rivera out with a couple pair of dockers that needed to be hemmed. After a quick fitting, they did a GREAT job of getting the shortening the hem just the right amount and making them look just like new. So sometimes it can be very difficult to shop for my husbands pants as he is short but we brought 2 pairs of brand new jeans here to be hemmed up. Amazing! We dropped them off around 1pm(on a Saturday, which they are open on Saturday until 4 even though Yelp says they are closed), asked for same day alterations. She said they would be done around 3, and she had them done early with perfect results. Extremely nice people who do what they say they are going to do. Would definitely go back! Fair pricing. If you are mobility impaired at all, do not waste your time at this establishment. I parked in their handicapped space and called them asking if it would be possible to be let in through the back door or something, since getting around to the front door meant a significant walk over a bumpy driveway. I told them I was happy to wait until it was convenient for them to get to the door. The response I got was "no, you need to walk around to the front door like everyone else". I understand people are busy, and I always hesitate to ask for an accommodation from a private business owner, but when I do I would appreciate at least some empathy or a willingness to try to make it work. read more

I first went to another seamstress who quoted me at 700$ to 780$ to alter my wedding dress. Which I might add that is more than my wedding dress cost. Not only was the price crazy she also made it seem almost impossible do take my dress in, but "with enough money it could be done". I completely stumbled across Rivera's. I was driving by and thought maybe I should stop in and get a price quote. Thank god I did. She was nice and didn't make me feel like I had got the wrong dress, like the other lady did. She had me try my dress on, she looked at it, gave me the most reasonable price ever 260$. I just picked my dress up today and it is perfect. Not only was she reasonable she did a great job and when I paid for my dress she did not raise any prices. She also sewed my dress is one day and my dress was not the easiest. Ive had a total of three items of clothing altered here. The first two were done well, however on my last visit I brought in a skirt that had two layers--a skirt underneath a longer flowing fabric that attached to the waist. I wanted the skirt hemmed around my waist, but when I got it back, the top layer of the skirt fell awkwardly and overlapped on the side. When I brought it back in, the owner tried telling me that that was the design of the skirt, and she proceeded to iron it and then sent me off. I ended up going to a different tailor to get it fixed. This seamstress is amazing!! I highly recommend her. She did some major tailoring of a dress for my daughter, adding a zipper, pleats, and an opening in the back with a button.
