    I love Riverdale Veterinary Group! Dr. Fried is awesome! He has been our gerbils' vet since he opened his practice in Riverdale. (So that's a lot of gerbils, over the years!). I am SO grateful to have an exotic animal specialist (and one so knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate) in our neighborhood. The whole staff has always been extremely helpful and kind to me and my gerbils, as well. Highly recommended!

    Riverdale Vet Group has been the one & only vet clinic I've taken my fur-babies to bc they are AMAZING! As soon as you walk through their doors, you feel "at home" - EVERYONE from the front desk staff, the vets/vet techs as well as their patients/humans are warm & welcoming! While this office does not take walk-ins/emergencies, calling the office early (and with some luck) you may score a same-day or next-day appointment for your fur-baby. The best part? They truly respect your time & abide by their appointment schedules!

    I am sad to give Riverdale Vet a one star review. My pets (Nori and Lucy) are patients here for over 5 years and I never had a problem. The front desk staff is friendly, the doctors are knowledgeable. However, I arrived 10 minutes early for Nori's appointment today and was told to have a seat. Slowly but surely, the waiting room began getting crowded. Social distancing was not enforced so I asked the friendly receptionist if I could wait outside and have her call me when the Vet was ready for Nori. She confirmed my number and I went outside. I walked Nori. I sat at the bench. Please note, it was 30 degrees outside. 15 minutes later, I went back inside to check the status of my appointment and simply to warm up cause it was cold. Josh, the manager, greeted me with a "Ma'am, I am going to ask you to wait outside". I tried to reply with the fact that I was already outside for 15 minutes although I arrived early for my appointment. Josh cut me off mid sentence, raised his voice (thinking I didn't hear him the first time), and again told me to wait outside. I again tried to explain that I was there before... Josh would not listen. I lowered my mask to speak because I was under the impression Josh could not hear me or understand me but then Josh really got loud and said, "Ma'am! We are in a pandemic and you have taken off your mask! Please leave, now!" At this point, I informed the receptionist that I was going to write a review on Yelp and Facebook regarding this poor service and Josh again asked me to leave. After further consideration, I decided not to leave out of principle. I told them I would not leave and I didn't care if they called the cops. Josh truly told the receptionist to call 911. When the police officers arrived, they heard both sides. I highlighted how although they tell you "one person per pet", the waiting room was full of pets with multiple adults accompanying them. I highlighted how I volunteered to wait outside in 30 degree weather although everyone else was already waiting comfortably inside. I explained that my pets are both patients there for five years and I simply wanted the vet to see my dog. Josh refused. Josh told the officers he wanted me to leave. The two officers were in disbelief and encouraged me to report them to the BBB. In an effort to resolve the issue, I asked Josh, "would you really prefer that I file a complaint to the BBB instead of treating my dog?" Josh replied, "your one measly review is not going to hurt us, we have thousands of positive reviews" And so I'm here. The doctors allowed this man to turn away a loyal pet / customer. As I stated earlier, I am sad to write this and have experienced this horrific visit to our vet. I reiterate: even the police officers were in disbelief! Recommendations: The front desk must schedule appointments in such a manner that everyone does not show up at the same time crowding the waiting area. Enforce the supposed rule of "one person per pet". Send Josh to Mgmt training; hiss lack of customer service skills is not consistent with the otherwise friendly, welcoming staff.

    Dr.Rosado was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend him. Very caring and my puppy was comfortable and wasn't frightened at all
