Last year took my poodle for a groom service and they cut him pretty bad on his stomach and i took pictures and sent an email to the owner. Only to say it wasn't so bad and that he'll offer 50% off. I'll leave the picture below for your own judgement. I also have a yorkie so decided after a year later, hey why not see if they can groom him and maybe it wont happen because its an easier cut and guess what. Same thing again. I contacted the owner only to receive back another email saying how the dog had eczema when he doesn't only on his stomach and i specifically told them that, they look for every excuse to not be responsible for the harm they caused my dog. I really wanted to love this place as it's one of the only daycares that works for someone working beyond a 9-5 schedule and the owners have a nice story, but so far it's only been okay at best. Do not expect to have the webcams work, they never do. I've also only received video posts or pics when I call and ask them, and it's mostly them standing outside the pen randomly filming a few minutes of dogs barking crazily or sitting bored. My main concern is the staff to dog ratio always seems off, and some of the employees don't always seem attentive to the dogs or anxious behaviors. Often (at least in the morning) there is just one employee with up to ten or more dogs. I've walked in for drop off and had to shout for someone to come out from the back while plenty of dogs are in the pen with no supervision. If a fight had broken out between the dogs, I can't imagine how bad it could get! They offer feeding and some sort of potty schedule, but there is no nap or break time option and the dogs mostly seem to be in the same play area every time (despite the facility have two or three?) without new activities, size groupings, or activity level groupings. Not industry standard which is a shame. I hope you can invest in a few more staff or volunteers and PLEASE GET YOUR CAMERAS OR CONSISTANT PICTURE REPORTS GOING. read more

I've always wanted to check out the place for my 4 year old pit, Fendi. She is a rescue and I wanted to have her around other dogs on days that I may be at work or just to socialize. They offered a free temperament assessment to determine if she would be a good fit and if deemed safe to be around other dogs. My Fendi didn't make the cut but I was encouraged by Renzo to research Wag the Dog for Basic Manners training. I enlisted their services for grooming. I was concerned due to what they shared regarding her assessment. There were no issues. They worked with me as I had some issues with transportation; nonetheless they were welcoming and made sure Fendi would be serviced. My Fendi was smelling and looking amazing. I thought she'd be shy and anxious when she got in and become uncooperative. Steven said Fendi did great! I couldn't have been any happier with her experience and the service given from the start of the reservation until I picked her up. I look forward into enrolling Fendi in Basic Manners trainings and hope she will partake in their doggy daycare soon! This was truly an excellent experience. read more

My dog was so uncomfortable here. I'm not sure what he experienced during his stay, the attendant wasn't able to tell me and there were no photos, but my dog was extremely anxious and made a crying sound I've never heard him make. He doesn't have separation anxiety which the attendant attempted to diagnose him with. I had him tested and it wasn't cheap. Luckily I found someone to come and check on him and administer his medication while I was on vacation. I was warned about this daycare from another dog owner and didn't listen. My advice, listen to your dog. If he loves it, great! If he doesn't, run! Don't take their word for it, just don't return. read more

This is a review mainly for the day care service. Our pup, Stark, LOVES it here! Setting up appointments is super easy and very affordable. You have the option of dropping off and picking up or you can have them pick up and/or drop off for a small fee. Overall the pickup/dropoff services are very reliable and convenient especially since my partner and I are working during the day. There is also live webcams where you can watch your dog play all day! Our pup always has a great time and comes back super tired from his hard day of playing. We took our dog Curry to Bronx Barx for grooming services. He was in really bad shape because for a while, we didn't have a car to get him there. First off, let me say that Curry can be very skittish. He had only been groomed twice before, so I expected him to be nervous. We dropped him off and then was called to come back to stay with him since he was scared. We didn't mind this at all and appreciated them thinking of that. Michelle, our groomer, was so patient and sweet and did an amazing job even though Curry did not cooperate at all. My furry baby looked and smelled like a new dog once we were done. We will definitely be taking him back more often to get him used to the clippers and dryer! As for their daycare services, I have never used them but while we were there, we could see how attentive and caring they were with the dogs. They kept the dogs calm, played with them and even carried around some of the little ones that needed a bit more attention. So sweet! This is for me calling to complain about how one of their drivers almost hit me on the BRUCKNER 8/12/22 at 3:40 PM! She was driving she was two car lengths away from me and one car merged in front of me, as I merged she sped up to try to not let me in and almost rear ended me! Then proceeded to follow me into the next lane and further down the highway! It was a young lady with glasses and locs/braids in her hair! White van clearly says BronxBarx on the side. When I called the store to let them know, and told the young man who answered I would send them video to their website, his response VERBATIM "I mean you could do that but we're a small business so you reacting like that will be bad for us" I told him "you guys need to train your drivers better and you're not making it any better". Renzo and his team do a wonderful job at Bronx Barx. Every morning when I drop off my dog for daycare, he is so excited! Even on the weekends when we are taking walks around the neighborhood, he tries to get me to walk towards Bronx Barx since he loves it so much. In the evenings, Ziggy is tired from playing all day and very happy. The Bronx Barx facility is quite large, with plenty of room for dogs to run and play. I had to choose a star, otherwise they will get NONE!!!!! Took my dogs, Chloe (Maltese) and Bella (Yorkie), to get groomed today. Had two separate appts, 1pm and 2pm. Upon arrival we were greeted, very friendly by Renzo and he had the groomer Christina speak with us regarding the cut we desired. I asked what time we should pick up our dogs, considering they mentioned they were a little behind because they "were busy", maybe 3:30 ? I was told more like 4pm, they would call when they were ready. I said ok, 4 came and went and I had not heard from them. At 4:30 I called to check on them and was told by Christina they had not been cut yet and as soon as she gets to them it should be quick but she gave them water. At this point my concern was for my dogs. They had been in a cage for all those hours, did they eat? were they walked? any water? Christina said, I told you we were busy. When she did not like my response she put Renzo on the phone. I mentioned this is not a good way to run a business, he said ok so tell me what I can do to make "YOU" -with emphasis- happy. I decided to go and pick up my dogs. At this point they had been there for approximately 4 hours. They did not take accountability for their actions. They pointed the finger at us, the client, repeating we told you we were busy and you had two dogs. As I mentioned to them, the fact that I had two dogs is irrelevant considering they were booked on two separate time slots. On their website they have 6 open time slots, starting at 9am last appt at 2pm with an hour in between each time slot. There is no way or reason why they should be so far behind that at 4:30 dogs are still waiting to be groomed. My dogs panted and Chloe cried all the way home. When we got home, they both went straight to the water which leads me to believe they were not given water. I am not making this up. I mentioned to both Christina and Renzo that my dogs get anxious. My heart aches. Chloe and Bella may not have been important enough to both Christina and Renzo, but they are part of my family. We love them just as much as we love our children/grandchildren. So yes, we feel they could've handled everything a little differently. What went wrong? They were negligent and in complete disregard about our feelings. read more

This Place is Amazing and THEY LOVE YOUR DOG! My baby Rumi is always so excited to go to Daycare. As soon as we arrive to drop him off his tail starts to wag and he's so happy to go play with his furry friends in DayCare. He gets to play in a fun and safe environment and by the time he gets home he just wants to snuggle and sleep. They also have live feed Cameras that are so helpful and if you're like me and miss your fur baby you can see him playing anytime and having a good time with the other pups :) Renzo and the staff are amazing and the facility is super clean and very well maintained. So if you're looking to board your dog this is the place to do it. First of all Renzo is great. He's a great person and you can tell he truly loves what he does and loves the dogs he cares for. I only met Steven in passing but for the short time we spoke I can tell he also loves his business. Second, the facility is amazing. It literally looks like a day care center I would drop off a kid. Clean, organized and awesome murals on the wall. And the smell.... there was none. There were no harsh animals smells at all the place was in tip top condition. Do not be turned off by the pricing please. You get what you pay for an more. You pup is worth it. I can't wait to bring Tux back for day care and hopefully grooming soon. These people at the Bronx Barx do an awesome job and it shows. I wish i coukd send Tux there every single day. I almost want to work there. Thats how much I loved the place. Almost forgot something. Their webcam allows you to peek in on your pup at anytime. I didnt realize it until after we picked him up though lol. But I knew I had nothing to worry about. Go there. Go there. Go there. OMG I love this place. This is the best money I could spend on my dog. They have helped me socialize him. He starts to cry when we get off the Degan on Brook ave. Hi guys! So yesterday I too my dogs here for a grooming, and unfortunately the previous groomer that I went to wasn't. So I let some new girl do the job, and for gods sake my dog was freaking out! Mind you he's been to a groomer before who did an amazing job on him. They put my dog in some type of "time out" because he was giving them an issue with grooming. When I got there only his back nails were cut, halif of his body was shaved, some parts deeper than others to where I could see his pink skin. His beard, eyebrows, legs had not been touched. When he saw me he went crazy and the girl said she was about to call me, which I don't know why they didn't when he first started freaking out. On top of that had the audacity to charge me full price! I will never ever take my dogs here ever again! Thank goodness got in touch with my original groomer who is amazing with my 11 month old poogle. I am still upset as I spent $130 for 2 small dogs! Also my little bischone has a cut under her neck and on one of her little toes! That lady was not a professional groomer, nor does she have any patience! If you take your dog for grooming make sure you stay and watch what the heck they're doing! Total waste of time and money. You guys should lower your prices if you can't do things professionally. I took my dog to get groomed on April 3rd. He is a 7 year old Shitzu Mix he was a completely healthy dog. I received a phone call from the groomer telling me that my dog had a seizure. He has never had a seizure ever and till this day nothing at all. I was a little skeptical. I waited until they finished with his cut and called me to come pick him up. When i arrived and was handed the dog he was limping. He couldn't walk up the steps at all and was crying for the rest of the day. I called to ask what happened. It's been two months and he was put on anti inflammatory medications and he got an x-ray. Boogie has a dislocated hip and his knee is fractured. I was never told that he fell by mistake or anything when he was having this "seizure". My dog is currently on medications for pain and inflammation and may need surgery. Not sure what was given to my dog or what occurred the day he went in to get groomed. What i do know is that i took in a completely healthy dog, and when he came out he was not okay. read more
