Stayed at BlueWater Resort in Parker, Arizona for the Quartzsite RV Show since nearby hotels were…read morefully booked. It's about a 45-minute drive to the show, which was manageable. My room had a beautiful view of the Colorado River, complete with a full patio and seating--such a nice bonus. The room itself was big, spacious, and very comfortable. Coffee and tea were provided, and housekeeping cleaned the room daily, which was fantastic. Service throughout the hotel was excellent. A couple of things to note: there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms--only available in the lobby--and the pool was closed for remodeling during my stay. There is a small but cozy exercise room, and parking was plentiful. Dining options were great. BlueWater Grill is perfect for casual snacks and breakfast (opens at 7am), while River Willow has a more upscale feel and is excellent for dinner with friends or family. Overall, a great stay with excellent service, plenty of parking, and even free RV parking that can accommodate large rigs. Cheers!

The reason I have it 4 stars is the convenience to river areas and the fact this is the only place around, and it could be a whole lot worse, and still get patrons. This place has a restaurant for some good food and multiple bars open on the weekend for some good drinks and a club with a DJ on the weekends ! They have a bunch of beach areas and RV parking as well. This place has everything you need and it's so close to pirates den and emerald cove. The places to eat are also super close by and the Safeway and Walmart are legit 15 min away to stock up all your needs. They sell ice also $7 for a 16 lbs bag at roadrunners incase you need to stock up on ice. The place is chill and the people are also chill. You will ofcourse run into some people who have 0 River etiquette and are rude for no reason but most people are chill and respectful. You can leave your skeleton up for your eazy up as well and no one will mess with it so we loved that. Def a place for River vibes ! Will be back soon!

We rented a motel room with two queen beds at Big Bend Resort earlier this week for an early…read moreFather's Day river trip. Very happy we went with the motel room over a campsite. The weather is way too hot for a tent this time of year and it was really nice to have an a/c, full size fridge, microwave and private bathroom. The motel room itself is very bare bones; you will need to bring your own blankets & pillows and mattress is thin and firm on a simple metal frame. But everything was clean and in working order. It worked out very well. I especially loved that they had a picnic table right out front for us to utilize. A short walk down the street, there is a really cool restaurant, arcade and beach down by the water, complete with umbrellas, tables and even a kiddie pool. In the opposite direction, a bit further away, there is a large pool and jacuzzi...but we preferred to swim and hang out by the river. There was wifi but it only worked sometimes. We didn't really have any service during our stay; a forced but much needed reprieve from the outside world. Overall, we really enjoyed it. The views of the river and mountains are unmatched. We would definitely stay here again.

We were out for the parker river tube float and visited pirates den which was the host resort…read more Many participants parked at pirates den, we parked at the state park immediately up river. The float ends at the pirates den launch ramp and so floaters come up the channel at the end of the float and get out of the water at the launch ramp. The launch ramp is nice, inside a protected cove so that the river flow isn't a challenge when launching and recovering your boats and personal water craft. Pirates den has a restaurant and tons of RV and tent camping spaces. Along with ample boat and trailer parking for visitors. I'll be back the next time we do the river tube float.
