He made the process of opening a joint account feel straightforward and efficient, explained everything clearly, and kept the appointment moving without ever feeling rushed. As a queer couple, we really appreciated how intentional he was about getting our pronouns right and creating a respectful, comfortable experience from the start (even though we're often read as a straight couple). It was genuinely refreshing not to have assumptions made, and seeing pride flags at some of the desks reinforced that sense of care. Awful. Mobile deposit wasn't working, wouldn't let me enter the correct amount. The so called customer service rep said they couldn't possibly fix the problem because they had no way of seeing my device. I said I could send screenshots. He said he had no way of knowing who to send screenshots to. I said "you mean you don't have a tech department to work on problems like this? Apparently not. I was a happy Advantis member for about 12 years. They had great customer service which was a major reason why I enjoyed banking with them. The merge with Rivermark has been HORRIBLE. I have only had one somewhat positive experience at the downtown branch. Every other experience has been dehumanizing and rude. In addition to being rude, the agents I have worked with also have a difficult time performing the tasks I contacted them for in the first place. Never had any issues with Advantis. I found the branch on Belmont to have two very professional staff, Saira Valdovinos, and the greeter whose name I did not get. They were helpful and Saira solved my problem. They made a mistake with a deposit during their merger weekend, crediting me over $200 and as I was not paying attention, when they discovered this credit was in error, they WIPED OUT MY BANK ACCOUNT WITHOUT NOTICE AND THEN SAID, WELL WE COULD HAVE TAKEN MORE OF YOUR MONEY BUT, LUCKY YOU, WE DIDN'T. I originally posted a scathing review of Advantis, based on an experience I had where I discovered, after paying my automobile loan for one year, that I had been paying monthly late fees, despite the fact I set up the loan for automatic payment and accidentally set the payment date for a week after The due date. I was never notified that I was paying the loan late. When I sought resolution, I was told by two customer service agents, one on the phone and one in person at the Gresham branch, that I was only gonna get refunded three months of late fees. After posting my scathing review on yelp, I got a call from a customer service manager, who gave me Grace for the years worth of late fees. I recently had contact with Jay in the Advantis Customer Service Dept. I had been trying to protest an amount deducted from my Advantis bank account that was from another of my banks here in New Mexico. Three times the Advantis Customer Service team emailed their proper form for me to sign and return to them, and three times I got the form, but it was totally blank -- nothing to read on the form -- just a "click here to accept", which I did not do. Anyway on the following Monday, Jay (being the third person to help me) called me at home because he'd followed-up and noticed there had been a problem. So Jay sent the form to me again for the fourth time -- (the problem turned out to be MY mistake). Anyway, this time I got the form and signed it, and all has been taken care of now on the Advantis end. I appreciate Jay so much for his follow-through. This place is now run by adult children. My family and I have been with Advantis for over 30 years now. The current operations are run by Millennials, gender confused, DEI hires, and self-centered adults. Customer service has tanked. If you have a disability, i.e., autism, mental disorder, breaking down, whatever, they don't care. They are self-centered and do not care if they cost your entire life. If you say dam, they are calling security, sending you messages, and calling managers to bombard you with how they need to dictate your verbiage. Even 3 lawyers and a judge were quite stunned at their actions. They love to call you and tell you how to be professional, when they can't do their jobs. They control your accounts like communists. All they care about is rainbow flags, their feelings, and whine about anything they think is disrespectful. Reps can be nice, but lack in kindness. We live in an era, where if you start alienating your member base, they're going to take this live to some of our very big YT channels and out their shoddy behavior. Without members, you do not have a job. If I do not like how I am being treated, I will address it kindly, and look at my behavior to see why that person is acting the way they are. Most likely you are influencing, or they are having a bad day, and like a kid, if I do not like something, I can move about my day Some of us have level 1 autism, and your management and members need to learn how to handle disabled people. However, since you lack voice prompts in 2024 for the disabled, and it was addressed, I wouldn't expect you to show any empathy towards your members. A manager called me when I nearly lost a big court case to scold me. Then following that last week, I had a miscarriage. All she did was berate me on the phone like a bad mom who treat people like they are robots. If a manager has this much time in her day to call back and scold members a week later, she must not have a lot going on at her job. I haven't forgotten how the CSR almost cost me a case, and stressed me out to a point of loss with my baby. I am still recovering, and the inconsiderate manager woman has to call and add more strife to my life. I bet she is a Harris supporter with 9 cats at home. Considering it is Portland, I wouldn't expect much more. This place used to be great. They had adults in charge, didn't take things personally when people called in, did not convey their gender pronouns, or get upset when a member was having a bad day because their rep wouldn't do their job. They were always happy and cheerful This place can't read people Managers are high in narcissistic traits; grandiose, hyper sensitive, inconsiderate, & love to berate and dictate everything their members do. Sometimes it is not about you. To the disabled: They do not care about you! It is 2024, and they still do not have voice prompts and pressing zero hangs up. They also hate people with autism. What a professional way of doing business. The are like communists when it comes to your bank account You are REQUIRED to cater to their feelings and needs. Managers are dictators, staff don't value your time, and they despise the disabled. They will call to berate you on the phone like a toddler, thinking it is a professional way of handling things. You can be a long-term member, and have established a pay history for 100 years, and your credit & professionalism is the only thing that matters lol They just lost an entire family of clients Place is like idiocracy now I would NOT recommend this place to a soul anymore. You want to be valued and appreciated? Go somewhere else. Oh, and if you write a bad review, the manager will call you, send a letter, or threaten to take away your account. I felt like I was talking to a 12 year old about to hit puberty for the first time. Do not try to get Advantis to execute an RMD. In order for this to occur the loan officers have to call the central office to their okay. This Saturday morning no one would pick up the phone to give the approval. The loan officer told me to come back on a week day. Lordy, Lordy - a financial institution that is not staffed in order to fully serve customers, and the loan officers are unaware of this situation. I wasted an hour getting there, waiting for the loan iffy to keep calling with no pick up. I will the have devote more time in few days to return to hopefully make this happen. As a member of Advantis (Pace) for about 25 years, I have made frequent use of the their services for personal and business matters. In past years, Advantis staff has been helpful, courteous, and responsive . However, I've observed a steady degradation of Advantis customer service replete with frequent clerical errors, ongoing website issues, and diminished access to trained personnel. The common thread through all this has been a failure to acknowledge responsibility for mistakes. A recent episode that resulted in disclosure of confidential information really was the last straw. I look forward to moving my accounts to a more responsible and responsive institution. read more

I was member of the Advantis CU for 30 plus years and they had excellent customer service. You could call in and someone would answer the phone and about 99% of the time they could resolve your issue or answer a question. They merged with Rivermark late last year and it has been nothing but a headache, you can't talk a real person, you just leave a voicemail and they may call you back in the next 48 hours. When you do talk to someone, it's call center that doesn't speak english, nor know anything about the credit union. I have had to call 3 times for the same issue, debit card not working or being declined even though my checking account had more than sufficient funds to cover what I was purchasing. It still has not been resolved and the issue is inconsistent, even when buying from the same store! Please, do not give them your business, they are worse than any commercial bank that I have accounts at! AVOID! read more

The loan cost me $200 bi weekly (over 100% interes!!) so Holly helped me get a debt consolidation loan which covers other debts, costs $140/ month, and is only 20% interest!!! I recently exerienced fraud in both of my Advantis accounts for more than $16,000. I was beyond scared and terrified. Thank God I met McKyla Jackson at your Belmont branch. She spent several hours helping me put things back together in my accounts. She was able to get me provision credit in just one day in order for me to continue banking. Over the next few days, McKyla called me checking in on me to see how things were going and to further come to my rescue. It's people like McKyla that make me love Advantis! Horrible place. I was sold on joining this credit union based on the fact that I would be a member and able to get loans easier, be invested in the organization, yadda yadda yadda. What a bunch of BS! I went in last week seeking a very small personal loan of $2500-3300. I have one bad item on my credit record--a $1500 title loan from 2016. I tried to settle this loan this year and the title loan company, LoanMart, said I now owe them $15,000 because of the interest. If I had not tried to settle this account as someone should do, it would have fallen off my credit record next year. Now, since LoanMart reported this $15,000 to the credit bureau, it will probably be on my credit report for 7 more years at least. I reported Loanmart to the Attorney General of California for predatory lending but, in the meantime, I have paid my credit cards ON TIME EVERY TIME FOR THE LAST FOUR YEARS. This apparently does not count to the powers that be at Advantis. I wasn't asking for a loan of $50,000, $25,000, even $10,000. Apparently $2500-3300 will make Advantis insolvent! I was turned down for this small loan because of the item from 2016. I wrote to the CEO of Advantis, Jason Werts, complaining about this and have yet to hear from him/them. Don't fall for the BS Advantis tells you about becoming a member of their credit union and being treated like a person and not a number. You are a NUMBER to them, that is all. Horrible experience. Usually friendly, but indeed this bank makes frustrating mistakes and..."nicely" fails to timely fix them. For example, I send an annual check for property interest--year one I went to the wrong address. Year two, it didn't send. Still haven't received the funds back to my account--so I cancelled auto pay...and this year Advantis sent the check to the correct location. They also refused to notarize a document for a client of mine because he works in the cannabis industry. The staff was unable to think around their misunderstanding of an arbitrary policy. I had a checking account for years, so I decided to get a Credit Card through them. And at the same time request for paper billing. My first statement never arrives, get dinged with late fee, and a negative mark on my credit report. I call to find out what went wrong, they say things are ok and to wait. 2nd, & 3rd bills never arrive, so I have to call in. They verified my address, but there is a problem with their automated mail system. Had the CC for three months, then closed the account. Will close my other accounts with them and move to another Credit Union with more integrity. read more

The amount of "mysterious" problems I've had with debit and credit cards is seriously laughable and their customer service has literally no idea what's going on ever, even their management is clueless.
