My company has had many work dinners here, and the staff at Riverpark are always accommodating and kind. The food is high end American, and they have seasonal menu changes. My favorites are the burrata appetizer and the steak frites entree. When in season, the key lime tart really hits the right sweet tooth! The menu is in the pricier side, but the sophisticated ambiance matches the prices. LOCATION!!! Beautiful east river views, very nice, friendly and professional service, and good food. My friend and I met for an early dinner. Originally, we thought we'd eat in the beautiful outdoor area, but, we both wanted to be able to chat and catch up, and felt the outdoor live music was a bit too loud for that, so we opted to dine inside, with a wonderful river view, and we could still hear some of the music since we had a lovely table near the front of the restaurant. Views are great, thanks to the floor to ceiling glass windows. My friend enjoyed his margarita-it was the regular kind; he had the option of a more creative margarita with hibiscus, but, alas, he preferred the classic. We ate: Appetizer- Shrimp cocktail. Consisting of 3 very large shrimp, served beautifully on a bed of chopped ice, in a cool looking, round, black bowl, with fresh lemon wedges and cocktail sauce. In our humble opinion, we'd rate it 4 out of 5 stars. My friend had the delicious and substantial hamburger. EXCELLENT!! He graciously cut it in half to share, and I enjoyed that half. It came with French fries. It had cheese, pickles, tomatoes and red onion on it. GREAT BURGER!!! 5 out of 5 stars. See my menu photos for details. I'd come back for this yummy burger. My review is mostly for the overall experience, as I was there for a work event and had a pre-fixe meal. This restaurant is located between Bellevue and NYU Tisch hospital, in an office building on the ground floor. It has a great view of the East river and LIC/Brooklyn. It would be a great outdoor dining location when the weather is nice! I loved the intimate, dim lighting with fairy lights. Our work event/dinner was located in the back room which had a good AV system. There was enough space to accommodate a coat area and simple bar/drinks area. For food, I think overall it was fine but nothing stood out. I liked the beet salad and the filet mignon, but they didn't ask me how I'd like it cooked. The truffle mashed potato was good, even for someone like me who isn't the biggest mashed potato person. The chocolate mousse cake was pretty standard, but I was a little confused with the passionfruit sauce since it was a little too sweet and too tangy for the cake. There was a good selection of red and white wine. Again, I was there for a pre-fixe meal so not sure what the rest of their menu looks like! I went with relatives from out of town to Riverpark for a delightful lunch. I had been there several times, but not since pre-Covid. The view is gorgeous with plenty of windows to take it in the East River. Luckily, it was a sunny day, so it made the view all that more beautiful It really is a hidden gem in Manhattan. The ambience is warm and chic. The servers are very attentive and friendly, going out of their way to make your dining experience, extra enjoyable . We all started with butternut squash maple soup. Beautifully plated with diced butternut squash walnuts. The perfect choice for a freezing cold winter afternoon. I had a delicious winter greens salad with salmon. I enjoyed every bite. The tuna tartare was a shining star. The salmon entree was cooked to a perfect medium rare. We didn't indulge in dessert but I will look forward to it during my next visit. came here for my birthday last month and found it on a whim as they had a reservation available on OpenTable for the night. Whenever I'm walking along the east river I always see this restaurant but never clocked that it was an actual restaurant and I'm so happy that I discovered this place! Talked away behind the hospital it overlooks the water with beautiful floor, ceiling, window windows and the ambience inside is perfect for a nice group dinner or a date night. The food was delicious and really fairly priced all of us thoroughly enjoyed archer drinks, and meals. The staff was also super friendly and when I mentioned that I was gluten-free brought out an extra gluten-free dessert for me to try. This is a really well run restaurant and I cannot wait to come back and I hope more people discover it ! read more

My friend took me there for my birthday tonight - if you have never been, it's a bit "off the beaten path" which is rather odd to say for a Manhattan restaurant! its on 29th street literally next to the East River and the view is spectacular! The ambience is quiet and relaxing and the staff was helpful, answered lots of questions and I appreciated that they told us the specials and informed us of the cost which I many upscale restaurants will not often do. The meal started out with the most wonderful baked rosemary bread that was so perfectly baked with a generous portion of butter AND olive oil in the same dish- this is the first time I have ever seen served this way. It was hard for us not to ask for more bread as we were saving our appetites for the food. Everything came out perfectly timed - we had the special appetizer which I'm hoping will be a regular on the menu because I would go there JUST for that. It was a dish of mussels (15 - so they told us) Spanish style with chorizo in a white wine broth with garlic, shallots, tomato and herbs and came with 2 toasted slices of bread for dipping (I know Im leaving something out) but it was phenomenal. My friend who brought me there is not a big fan of mussels but he loved this dish! We had the Hamachi Credo, the Salt and pepper calamari and the Burata with poached pears - the flavors were lovely with thinly sliced toasted cranberry walnut bread. All the appetizers were splendid! We both ordered the same main course and the same side dish because it sounded so good - a huge pork chop perfectly fried. I. was very impressed because as thin as it was, it was still moist and tender. It was accompanied by grilled cabbage over cashew cream and bitter greens - my only "complaint" was that I would have liked more cashew cream!!! The squash risotto was so perfect - with each grain separate from the other (sometimes risotto can be a bit overcooked and dry) but the sauce on this was lovely. I took it home AND I am so glad that I did because Desert --- OMG desert!!! I have to tell you that the Baked Alaska with mango and a coconut meringue was nothing I have ever had in my life. I found this spot while I was looking for a nice restaurant with a view of the river. The location was not as easy to access, since there is no subway stop right by there. But, we can all use a little bit of walk, can we? The walls facing the East River are covered with huge windows from floor to ceiling. It gives such beautiful view of the river! We ordered was Roasted Chicken Breast, Dry Aged Riverpark Burger, Al Limon with Shrimp, and Radiatore. The chicken was plump and juicy, packed with flavor, super delicious! The burger and fries were great too. The patty was gently covered with melted cheese, topped with crispy shallots. It was juicy and flavorful, a pretty darn good burger! Al Limon had wonderful lemony flavor that went perfectly with the shrimp. Radiatore, another dish done well. The tomato enhanced the flavor of the sausage, against the bit of the bitter and nutty flavor of rapini. It was really good! We ordered desserts as well. Chocolate Profiteroles, Chocolate Ganache Cake, Almond Cake. Profiteroles came with four little chocolate choux, sandwiching vanilla ice cream in the middle. You can see the vanilla beans in there, it was so good! Chocolate Ganache Cake was moist and rich, and yes, the whisky milk foam was amazing with it. We mentioned briefly to our wonderful server, Jerome, that we were celebrating my mother's birthday. Guess what? He brought the Almond Cake out with a candle and a chocolate that says "Happy Birthday" on top! And not only that, he brought it out while singing happy birthday! It made my mother so happy. The cake was as amazing as the special celebration. We were well taken care of, we had a fun dinner. Everything we tried was delicious, We actually went back again for dinner, and they were great too. They also have pretty fantastic outdoor space as well. When we talk about hidden gems, it's a bit conflicting. We want to let everyone know, but we want it to remain our little secret. This being said I'm sure it's not such a big secret, but there weren't many people here when I was. Loved having the place to myself. The food was good, my steak sort of let me down at this price point only because there was inedible hard fat and I've had better steaks many many other places, which is not to say this wasn't good, it was still a great steak, the lemony hollidaise and potatoes that were served with it were nothing short of amazing and the mushrooms in sherry cream were absolutely the same! They had crispy onions and I fought myself to try and save a few. (I did and made the most delicate and amazing eggs the next morning with these right on top- it was decadent and delicious.) We were also greeted with a pleasant little mouth amuser (amuse bouche) Every time I have one of these I'm simultaneously mad that I don't get them more often at more places and overjoyed that I'm getting one when I am. Last time I was at Riverpark was in 2016 when it was still owned by Tom Collichio. I was looking for a spot to celebrate my dates birthday and decided on this restaurant. Upon further research, I found out that it was no longer owned by Tom, but some new owners who just kept the same name. The reviews still looked good so I thought to give it a try. Especially because of the view of the water from here. The restaurant was very accommodating, they helped with putting the birthday boys name on the menu, as well as stayed open to receive us when we were over 15 minutes late due to intense traffic by the east river. We had to order in the car to save time. For starters we had the tuna carpaccio and the oysters which were yummy. For starters I had the halibut with roasted mushrooms, sweet onions, parsnip purée and mushroom consommé, 10/10. Savory, well made, and just melts in the mouth. The linguine was also good 7/10 , it just had too much garlic. Overall this Chef knows his stuff. Service was 10/10. Thanks to our servers Ethan and Ritchie as well as to Nadine the manager for accommodating us for this special occasion. There is a highway between this place and the river, but the restaurant is above it so you still get a good view of the river and Brooklyn/queens The restaurant has a dining room, patio, & bar area. I came here for dinner with my GF and we ordered drinks, bread & butter, entrees, and a dessert. The bread was underwhelming as it was a little on the stale/stiff side, and it really reminded me of the cheap Hawaiian rolls that you would buy at a grocery store, but the rest of the food (and our drinks) were fantastic. My only qualm, other than the bread, was that the vegetables that were served with my entree all had their stems still on them and I had to de-stem them myself. I went to this place at two different points; once for lunch pre-pandemic and once during restaurant week for dinner several months later and I'm happy to see they are open again. Outside of the views, I find the location a bit funny being next to place I work at but I digress. The service here both times was pleasant. For lunch, I went with pasta, specifically the zucca. This consisted of said pasta with a pumpkin ragu, delicata squash, pepitas, brown butter ricotta, and basil. The dish was a bit rich but very tasty though perhaps the brown butter ricotta overwhelmed it a bit though I would happily order it again in winter. During restaurant week, I started off with the same pasta dish after finding out I could have a pasta as a main or appetizer which worked out well as as nothing else appealed to me. After having not had it for several months and as comparison to the lunch option, the portion size was of course slightly smaller as it was an appetizer with the only other difference being a slight color difference. The flavors were similar though there was perhaps a bit less of the pumpkin seeds/pepitas. My main was the pan seared skate which came with cauliflower, caper berries, Sicilian pistachios, and a lemon beurre fondue. The skate was cooked quite well with the sauce accompanying it quite well. The dish was a big small though this perhaps this is also because it was Restaurant Week and I was plenty full from the appetizer and dessert afterwards. As a 5$ supplement, I went with the famous 'cereal and milk' which consists of a chocolate ganache cake with caramelized rice puffs and a vanilla malt. The dish has a theatrical element to it as you break open the top allowing the chocolate and brownie below to mix in with the rice puffs and other flavors. The ganache was perhaps a bit rich but all of the components worked well together. It's famous for a good reason. The only other note is the good bread at the beginning. Very tasty with some sweetness from onions. A lot better than your usual place. This place is overall quite good. The prices are high but you're paying partially for the view. We had a rezzie for a large group but I imagine it could be pretty easy to walk in. I only got to try the group ordered calamari as well as my huge steak ($48?) that I ordered. The calamari was relatively unmemorable. The steak was MASSIVE. portion size and flavoring was great, as was the potatoes. However, I asked for medium rare and I'm pretty sure what I got was rare. Gourmet food and drinks with tranquil views of the East River in this dining destination. Location: I don't live close to this location at all. June found this amazing spot in extensive research. When you approach this building complex, you feel as if you are leaving the everyday streets of Manhattan, you are all the way on the east side of Manhattan. When we entered the larger building, walk toward the back area near the modern stairwell to see the entrance. This spot has floor to ceiling windows that give you a nice view of Mayor Bloomberg's accomplishments and developers high rises in Long Island City and Brooklyn. In New York, it is easy to forget the majesty of the rivers that surround the city. Riverpark lives up its name. You see the river and it feels like a park tranquil. If you do sit outside, you will hear FDR driver highway traffic so tranquil life is found with modern sound resistant glass. You are in the restaurant now and it is beautiful modern bar, tables, chairs. We enjoyed lunch and an early dinner here and found it on both of our visits. There may be solid happy hour specials because the bar seating was packed as we dined in the seated area. Food and drinks: Every dish was a tour de force and in NYC there is some great restaurants but this place stood out on its flavor and exquisite execution on each and every item. I loved the vegetarian items where the chef created dishes which had a genuine meaty flavor with cauliflower and pasta dishes with Shiitake mushrooms. The drinks were very strong and tasty across the board. The classic cocktails were also worth a look. Service: For the lunch, our server, Jerome White, I believe, made a special meal for our family as we celebrated a birthday. His attention and genuine approach made an excellent meal even better. We had an excellent and professional waiter named Astro. He did an excellent job accommodating us to ensure we were happy with the meals. Ok, here's the verdict! Don't order raw; not their specialty. We had oysters, razor clam ceviches, and raw clams. One of the clams smelled funny. I couldn't see any razor clams in the ceviches, and there was no clam taste at all. We also had the pate, but it was just all right. After the appetizers, I had the Amish Chicken and Hubby had a Grilled Rack of Lamb. This is where they pulled me back in. The best chicken by the Amish! Get this because it would flip you out. I flipped out! I freaked out! I'm all that! Very happy with our entrees. Hubby's rack of lamb was good too, but we both thought the chicken was the best of the night. It was tender and juicy, and the way it was prepared was almost like grilling on wooden charcoal or something similar. I almost gave up on my dinner after the appetizers, but I had no choice but to finish it all! :) The restaurant had a good team. The manager served some of our meals, which was nice. Astro, our waiter, put together a perfect birthday dessert for me. If you're dining here for dinner, don't bother looking for street parking. Go park in the Alexandria Center parking lot. The restaurant will validate parking for up to 4 hours for just $5. The restaurant is inside the Alexandria Center for Life Science. I walked in with a lot of expectations for Riverpark. The atmosphere was very nice. The inside of the restaurant gave off romantic, elegant vibes. I was happy that I got seated near the window but then that quickly changed. Right in between the my dining experience and the nice view, you get a mix of a very casual outdoor beer garden vibes which was throwing off the vibes of my experience. Perhaps everyone inside was overdressed? I've heard great things about this place so I knew I had I had to try for myself. My savory dishes were not hot enough. AMAZING dinner! Our meal at Riverpark was absolutely scrumptious and beautiful as well. We gathered to celebrate a friend's birthday, and chose Riverpark because we'd heard the chef was innovative and had a keen attention to detail. We heard correctly! Our meal began with individual miniature rice balls filled with chorizo and perched atop a creamy sauce on chic plates that were almost pedestals. We followed up with a selection of appetizers including the octopus (a "do not miss this" dish) and delicately sliced tuna carpaccio paired with pickled chiles. We also had a sautéed shrimp that had perhaps the best accompanying sauce I've tasted in a very long time. Each item had the perfect blend of taste, texture, color and presentation, providing a feast for our eyes as well as our taste buds. Our entrees consisted of the octopus surf and turf, the crab encrusted halibut with a meunière sauce served on a block of pink Himalayan sea salt and accompanied by charred broccoli raab and roasted fingerling garlic potatoes. (An ample portion, the halibut was the best I've had and was cooked to perfection.) The black bass was beautiful, served atop a saffron couscous and amid rainbow Swiss chard and acorn squash chips. The boulliabaise was flavorful without being overpowering, and was filled with salmon, lobster, prawns, clams and mussels. It was like Heaven in a Bowl! For dessert we tried the apple crostata (I almost finished that one by myself, no sharing!), the coconut pan cotta with citrus figs, the chocolate ganache cake and the sticky toffee pudding. Each was better than the last. Our service was top-notch, and the chef himself came to our table to ensure that our meal was what we had hoped. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening. The restaurant is situated overlooking the East River and the FDR Drive with a beautiful back drop of Long Island City and Greenpoint Brooklyn. It's hype is farm to table fresh food and the menu can change daily based on what's available that day. This is a collaborative partnership between the Riverpark restaurant and the Alexandria center. Tom Colicchio is both the chef and the owner. It's a great date spot if you want to impress and it boasts large spaces where you can spread out at your table. You can a conversation without worrying too much about the table next to you listening in. I had a great time and the service was top notch. They definitely pay attention to detail. The decor is modern, the restaurant is open and airy. There is outdoor seating and an outdoor bar area. It looks like a great place to hold a special occasion or a party. Overall the food was awesome,most of the portions such as appetizers and sides can be shared. The deserts were great although in my opinion are good for only one person. We were a party of four, we shared several of the dishes. We started off with a bottle of Voces 2010 which was a red blend and there were only 160 cases produced. Great choice!!! For appetizers we shared pasta which was the Farrotto which is roasted mushrooms, asparagus, thyme and Parmesan. They serve a very light focaccia bread with onion which was endless if you wanted more. For the main course we order two Grilled and slice Ribeye off the bone. It comes with charred summer beans, smoked romesco hen of the woods mushroom and jus. We also ordered the Smoked Berkshire Pork Rack for two. This comes with baby carrots, bulb onions, corn bread, bacon/onion jam, candies pork belly and radish slaw. All main courses are served in a pan which results in a great presentation. For sides we had two of the baked greens which were topped with cheese. We sampled several deserts which were the coconut rice pudding, coconut Panna Cotta and we could not go without trying their famous Cereal and Milk which is chocolate ganache cake, caramelized rice puffs, and vanilla malt. It was awesome but not really enough to share. Your water glass or wine glass is not left empty. When the main course was served our waiter came over to each person to see how things were. He did not just address the table as a whole which was a nice touch. Overall this was a great experience and I would highly recommend River Park for a great night out. I certainly plan on coming back to try the full menu, but I knew I had to get the Cereal and Milk dessert. It looks so aesthetically pleasing and it's a gustatory delight! You crack the chocolate shell open, and "milk" oozes out on the rice cereal... I love that the milk was just that - too often people use this as an opportunity to make it white chocolate. I've been to Craft, but somehow Riverpark escaped my radar for much longer. Glad I finally got wise, because this place is amazing. My boyfriend and I made a reservation for a Saturday night and fortunately the weather was perfect, (it's a bit of a walk from the train/bus). We sat inside because it was a little too windy outside, and we still had a great view from our window table. I started with the secret garden cocktail, which was lovely. As for the food, we shared the radiatore with spiced lamb ragu, roasted trout, smoked magret duck and strawberry rhubarb crisp. It's right next to Bellevue hospital and very hard to get inside if you're driving. The drinks were okay but the service was kinda wonky. My friends and I had a delicious meal at Riverpark this week. We initially were interested in the NYC Restaurant Week special, however when we arrived at the restaurant they claimed they were no longer participating. The manager, Nadine, said she would take care of us if we decided to dine there that night and she did not disappoint! Hospitality and service were spot on. The food was amazing and one dish was better than the next! I would recommend visiting this restaurant for a night with friends or a special date night. Sunday Funday Easter Brunch Day. Outstanding experience. Easter was a prix-Fixe menu. I chose the Quiche and Roasted Branzino. Right away you are served a gorgeous selection of pastries. Piping hot. Just wonderful. The quiche was a solid choice as was the Branzino. Perfectly cooked Crispy skin. My only complaint of the day was the grain in the base of the dish was quite bland and a tad overcooked as it was mushy in a watery sort of way. To finish the meal you must try the milk and cereal dessert (donate a portion to charity!) and the passionfruit and black sesame dessert blew my mind. Really excellent. It goes without saying the view of east river is just spectacular. The ambiance is relaxing and classy inside. There was live jazz and a round of applause to their team for outstanding service. What a wonderful experience at Riverpark during restaurant week. Wonderfully creative food with excellent service and a beautiful view of the East River. For restaurant week we were quite surprised to have the regular menu at restaurant week pricing. Truly the best We have found anywhere for restaurant week. Rather than get a special restaurant week very limited menu as we've had in many restaurants this was the full menu at a restaurant week price. What a pleasure! The acorn squash appetizer with coddled egg was recommended and it was amazing! I also had the brisket that was delicious. My wife had the pork chop which was perfectly prepared. The desserts as well or beautifully presented and delicious. I must also comment that the staff were excellent. Our waitress Angela was delightful and very professional. This is what restaurant week is supposed to be an opportunity to truly try a restaurant and it's best for me. We will be back with the restaurant week or not it was a wonderful experience in the food outstanding! read more

Food, service, and a fabulous view! All amazing! We had ordered the tuna, the watermelon carpaccio, and the gem salad. We had come here on a Monday around 7. It was a little busy but not really, and we had no trouble getting seated outside. The food is farm to table and it's all very fresh. The tuna was my favorite. The watermelon carpaccio had little flowers on it and it was very instagram friendly if you're looking to take a nice photo. Overall a great experience. I would certainly come back again, next time for brunch! read more

After trying to decide where to go for a quick little mid day date with my husband he dragged me allllll the way to the east side. He had a plan that I didn't know about and when we finally arrived here I was happy we did!! It's over By the FDR and they grow a lot of their foods in a small "urban farm" but really it's just a garden. The food was a little too exotic for my likings at lunch (like poached quail) so I settled on coffee and dessert. We ordered the rose panna cotta which my husband really liked but I wasn't loving it because I don't like the Taste of rose it's kinda soapy to me but he enjoyed it and it was just pretty to look at. My friend and I visited Riverpark during restaurant week in February 2020. I wanted to check this place out since Tom Colicchio was the head chef and I liked a few of his other restaurants. The restaurant was in the Alexander building in the back of a medical campus. There were signs to guide us directly to it. It is as close as you can get to the water on the East side. Views were excellent and there was a patio that looked like a good spot during warmer weather. I opted to have the East and West coast Oysters for my appetizer. Two of each were provided. They both were fresh and had different characteristics. East coast had a was smooth, crisp and slightly salty. Went great with the mignonette. West coast had a meatier texture and more complex taste. This went better with a drizzle of lemon or neat. I had roasted skate for my main course. Skate was cooked perfectly being juicy and tender. Each piece easily separated with the naturally formed creases. Seasoning was perfect to still taste the skate flavor. It was accompanied by a cauliflower mix. Milk & Cereal was for dessert. It was definitely worth the $5 supplement on top of the restaurant week price. At first glance it looked like a chocolate covered dome that slid itself to where it currently sits in the plate. It was elegantly topped with a pile of gold flakes. Rice crisp puffed cereal lined the perimeter at the bottom of the chocolate dome. The fun part of this dish was to break the dome open to reveal the milk inside. Besides the milk it was also revealed that there was a cakey brownie underneath the dome. Each component was great by itself except for the milk chocolate shell which I found to be too sweet. A piece of the brownie, some cereal and the shell dipped in the milk taken in one bite resulted in a good balance of flavors and textures. The sweetness of the milk chocolate shell was subdued with the milk and brownie while the cereal added a pleasing crunch. I do wonder if the shell was available in dark chocolate. I would like it more if it was. Service was excellent. On the way out I discovered that they cleverly used seed packets as businesses cards. I got thyme and my friend picked up basil, so they are not all the same! I'm likely to return here to check out what they offer in the summer as the menu is seasonal and they have a farm right outside the restaurant where they grow their own food. read more

Delightful & Delicious: The food at Riverpark was absolutely delicious and visually stunning. Since we were a party of 6 we were able to order & share many dishes from the thoughtful menu. The group's favorite appetizers included delicate slices of tuna carpaccio paired with pickled chilies & everything spiced rice cracker and perfectly grilled octopus. For entrees we maintained the seafood theme and ordered halibut special served with Romesco Sauce. The Surf & Turf with octopus & pork belly was tender & delicious. But the star of the evening was the boulaibaise. Chunks of lobster, prawn, & salmon in a saffron broth that was flavorful but not "fishy". The addition of lobster gnocchi made it even better. Everyone made room for dessert and there was fighting over the apple crostata & coconut panna cotta w/ citrus figs. What a wonderful place for a special occasion or if you want to just have a great meal. Lovely setting with amazing river view and the service was excellent. I was really impressed with this restaurant because they care about the little things. It was my friend's birthday, and our menus had a customized birthday message on top for her. At the end of dinner, they took out the page, rolled it up like a diploma, and gave it back tied in a ribbon as a keepsake. That alone had me sold. The staff was top-notch and the food was melt in your mouth good. Their menu options are vast, so it was nice to have some different options. The milk & cereal dessert is worth the hype, you get to crack the a chocolate dome with your utensil and watch the milk slide on to the rest of the plate - it's really dope. It also doesnt hurt that the restaurant has a gorgeous backdrop of the city - perfect for date night or a special occasion. I am already planning on coming back again. read more
