Great spot for a date or dinner with friends! I loved the small vibe of the steakhouse, had a lot of charm with the decor and dimly lit throughout the restaurant. Our servers were great, very friendly. They have an excellent wine selection, we tried a few of the reserve glasses :) For food, we ordered a handful of things because we were truly starving! Started with the potstickers and a wedge salad, for our main course we shared a filet mignon with fries, mashed potatoes, and green beans. We were so full that we passed on dessert and just sipped the good wine to finish. My only hold back on the star is that I didn't love the steak, the texture seemed off for a filet and it was lacking flavor for me. Would def come back and try a different cut though! read more

Great ambiance. Lighting was as you'd expect from a nice restaurant in an easy-to-reach part of town. Great staff -- very attentive service. Water refills were essentially endless without needing to request. Came here for a friend's birthday. Absolutely get the focaccia bread with their dip. The ribeye, brussel sprouts, mac & cheese, and pecorino shrimp alfredo were standouts. All their pasta is freshly made. They didn't have lobsters tonight but that's not an issue. Had a fantastic meal last night at Vinile! Started with an excellent Vespr Martini from Brian behind the bar which made me feel like James Bond drinking it. For apps my mom had a yummy salad while I had the Broccoliini which was delish. We split the 16oz signature Rib Eye which was cooked to perfection at Rare+. This steak was Jewish Mother approved by my mom. We also got saucy when we tried their house made foccica bread which comes with their house made tomato sauce along with a Stracciatella Cheese sauce. We really enjoyed getting saucy with both of them on the foccica and being a bit naughty it went delish with a piece of the Rib Eye. Overall a great experience. Jackson who was also behind the bar was great and Patrick the manager(who had a fun nirvana shirt on) was amazing. Cute place with amazing ambiance all tied to VINYL records so needless to say the music was great and I was given the opportunity to request a few songs from 1 side of an album! Kyra our server was OUTSTANDING! Friendly, attentive, helpful and a lot of fun to talk to! She enhanced our experience. Nick took cover of preparing an incredibly tasty and delicious meal. WE had oysters that were super fresh, Octopus masterfully prepared. We shared the rigatoni with a Wild Boar ragu as a middle course and it was SO GOOD! Entrees were the Black Sea Bass(excellent) and skirt steak(cooked to perfection and delicious). We had the Blue mushrooms as a side that were original and amazing along with their unique potatoes! And we finished with the best cheesecake(restaurant prepared) we've ever had at a restaurant. Lastly, Kevin the owner went out of his way to welcome us and check on things. I love a good chophouse especially one in walking distance from where I frequent during the week. I stopped by with a friend and we tried the filet mignon, some options from the raw bar, we got a few appetizers, and tried some of their signature cocktails. The filet mignon was absolutely delicious, and the fresh tuna tartare still lives rent free in my mind. I was told the fish supply is chosen fresh daily from Long Island. The Caesar salad was definitely one of my favorite bites of the night. One of their signature mezcal cocktails was a standout to me. It was so refreshing and perfectly balanced. The space is cozy, with vinyl records adorning the walls, giving it a really unique vibe. Everyone working there was so helpful when making menu decisions. wow. This might be one of my favorite restaurants in New York City. First of all, the manager Kevin is first class. From the moment we stepped in the restaurant, he made us feel like 24 carat. The waitress Sara was superb. The food was off the charts. The focaccia was incredible and I'm not even a bread guy. The martini was a big poor pour to the brim with blue cheese stuffed olives that were phenomenal. The Araceni, which I'm not even a fan of was amazing. The red Cabernet was fabulous. I had the signature steak, which was amazing and an incredibly big cut that I could not finish. We had the potatoes dipped in the beer batter, which was ridiculously good. The sauces for the steak were also amazing. And then we had some limoncellos on the house which were spectacular. The grapefruit, the bourbon and the traditional, all fabulous. I initially had reservations for Vinyl Steakhouse, but I saw this sister location and was intrigued. I didn't know that it was a newly opened restaurant, so our party was in for the ride. I made dinner reservations for Friday at 7:30pm. We were seated right away at the 2nd floor. The restaurant was elegant but had a lot going on with pushing the DJ vinyl vibe, which you got more of that feel downstairs. They have an eclectic collection of music, so the playlist for the evening was pleasantly random across different genres. I personally enjoyed that. What's cool is that you can request an artist/album, but unfortunately we didn't get to hear our request during our dinner (Van Halen's 1984 album). Not a make or break, but it would've been a cherry on top. Customer service was great. Food came out in a timely manner, and hats off to our server, Patrick. Personable, attentive, and wanted to make sure we were having a quality experience. I ordered the Milkshake cocktail, which was a treat! I believe the hard spirit was vodka with prosecco that I poured over a lemony sorbet. It basically reminded me of a boozy granita. Loved the bread service. Vinile has this beautiful focaccia topped with sweet grilled onions. We were offered options of Nduja butter, a burrata/olive oil dip, or white anchovies. We settled on the burrata dip, which was a solid choice, and Patrick hooked me up with a couple of fresh anchovies. We shared the brussels sprouts, ribeye, soft shell crab, and pappardelle with beef cheeks: The brussels came on a whipped ricotta spread. We ordered this as a side dish to the steak instead of a small appetizer plate. The pappardelle was the best dish. Perfectly al dente pasta, tender beef, and lovely sauce. I wasn't sold on the ribeye at first, but it got better the longer it rested. Its accompanying sauce was nice. The soft shell crab was my least of the 4 dishes, and we all agreed that it was a missed opportunity. I thought the sauce was too salty, and maybe it would've benefited from a light battered fry (probably being biased because that's how I prefer soft shell crab to be prepped). read more

Pretty Frustrating Experience We had an 8:30 PM reservation and even called ahead to make sure everything would be ready. Still ended up waiting 30 to 45 minutes before being seated. We weren't the only ones, a few other parties with reservations ended up leaving because the wait was so ridiculous. What really sealed it for me was watching who I assume was the owner walk in, greet a couple with no reservation, and seat them immediately. Seeing that while people with confirmed reservations were stuck waiting felt pretty unfair. When we finally got a table, the GM came over, apologized, and offered complimentary focaccia and a discount to make up for the delay. Neither actually happened. No focaccia ever showed up, and the "discount" was just removing a Caesar salad, maybe eight percent off the bill. Nowhere close to what was insinuated. Overall, the experience was sloppy and disorganized from start to finish. If you can't honor reservations, and you don't follow through on what you promise to fix the situation, it's hard to want to come back. read more

Really cool setting, and decent food, but the service was a real let down. Our server insisted on giving a lengthy description of every single item on the menu (everything! Down to how the mashed potato side dish is prepared!). We tried to stop him but he couldn't read the room. It took forever. Then he tried to upsell us. Then even though there were only a couple other tables there, it took forever for the starters and then forever for the mains. Most of the food was fine, but at this price point it should be a bit more memorable. But the reason we won't be going back was just a waiter who perhaps meant well but just talked forever and the overly long delay in getting our food. read more

I had such an amazing experience at Vinile. I ordered the Cacio e Pepe and the Brussel sprouts and they were some of the best I've ever had. From the moment I walked through the door I was treated like family, meeting the owner, and having incredible service from my hostess, Charlotte. We were even offered to choose what music would play, which was such a wonderful touch, the feeling of the room was amazing. To top it all off, we were given incredible tiramisu on the house. Best way to celebrate my 50th!!! This place is the best! From the dim lighting and vinal records ( they actually let you choose some songs from their playbook!!), to the staff and food. Superb!! We started with the housemade focaccia.....stunning! It comes with side spreads to try but equally amazing on it's own! We move on to the meatballs. Quite possibly the best I have ever had. Don't sleep on these!! The main course we chose was the Filet. It was perfectly cooked and paired well with their extensive red wine collection. The service here was top notch. Could not get any better. Valentine was our server. He was just attentive enough without overdoing it. Smart, knew the menu well and allowed us to try 2 wines to make sure we would be happy with our selection. After dinner we moved to the bar where we encountered Alan and Ari. These 2 were amazing! We had a great experience here last week. Had never even heard of it but it came up on a quick search of restaurants in the neighborhood and we're so glad we stopped in. Everything we had was delicious (tartare, risotto, bavette, bone marrow bread) and the service was super friendly. It was a bit expensive but I'm happy spending a few extra dollars if the quality and service are there. Which they were! We also met the owner who explained that this is their second restaurant and have a more traditional steakhouse nearby.
