Unfortunately, my question was met with what felt like a dismissive attitude, and the interaction came across as unwelcoming. It wasn't the kind of customer service I expected from a local fly shop, especially one that also offers guide services. Because of the experience, I decided to leave without making any purchases or asking about guided trips. I hope this was just an off day, and that they work on creating a warmer, more welcoming environment for future customers. Great customer service is one of the most important parts of a successful guide business, and I hope they recognize the impact those first impressions.

She was so knowledgeable and personable! She made sure to check in and find out what our goal was for the day. For us, it wasn't about how many fish we caught but just learning a bit more to add to the knowledge we already had about the sport. He thought a fishing trip would be something that i would enjoy (even though neither of us were fishermen at all) He booked a 2-3 day guided tour through the Fly Fishers Place and it was an absolute adventure that i still to this day will remember for the rest of my life. Amazing day on the Fall River with Sequoia, the Trout Whisperer! She has a sixth sense and…read moresensibility. My fly rod was bent throughout the day! A few "early releases" were just as exciting as the healthy bows that made it to the net. I was able to practice and refine (with tips from Sequoia) nymphing, streamers, and dry fly techniques. Super friendly, easy-going and especially helpful with our two young boys (age 4 and 9). We caught 10 fish in just under 4 hours on the lake. Mostly Kokonee salmon and a couple of Trout. Took 'em home and cooked them up that night! The 4-5 hour trip for all of us cost about $350 and required two $16 fishing licenses as well...but the experience was well worth the cost for our first-time ever fishing trip.
