The rocks in our front yard had been there for 30 years and were definitely begging to be replaced. I wanted something more attractive and updated, and that is exactly what I got. Angel came out, measured everything, and within a couple of days sent me an estimate. I received three estimates, and his was not the least expensive, but after talking with him, I felt confident that he was honest, knowledgeable, and knew exactly what he was doing. It took me more than a week to make my decision, and then I had to wait my turn. About three weeks later, they were ready to begin my project. Angel was extremely patient with me because I could not make up my mind about the rock colors. My husband and I went to Cinderlite and brought home samples, but I still wasn't sure. Angel even made another trip to get additional samples and brought them to me. I finally found the colors I wanted! The crew worked in extremely hot conditions, yet every day they left my front yard clean and orderly. They did not install the rock until I had approved the design, which they first painted out on the weed barrier so I could see exactly how it would look. I was also concerned about my trees getting enough water. They checked each tree before putting the rock down and then checked them again afterward, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Requested bids and designs to remove all the grass in the backyard, install sitting walls around trees with flag stone steps and zero scape setting. The rabbits and voles wreaked havoc in our backyard. We've had to replace our lawn twice. Jeff with Rock Solid Landscaping responded. We agreed to meet and walk the yard. We wanted 3 mounds with larger rocks around with native plants. The crew started everyday at 7am and worked until 4pm. They were always on time and worked a full day. This job was completed in 2 weeks. They delivered a porta potty, bobcat in front of our home. They put cones for safety. They are very organized, when dirt, rocks were delivered they moved to backyard. Then they swept the street and/or driveway to keep clean. Our neighbors complemented on the nice job of keeping street clean. Juan Carlos and his 2 workers were very well organized. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. I asked for a few Day Lillie's be transplanted back into the area. They installed a new drip system with an extension for me to plant my small veggie garden. Each time they did a terrible job at communicating but because they were nice and priced fairly, we continued to use them in order to save us the trouble of finding someone new. We were always polite to this company, respectful, and we tipped well. I started to eventually grow upset with them, due to the horrible lack of communication and also because they would never even give a simple thank you when we would tip them or do nice things for them. Putting it behind us, we Eventually hired them for a larger job. We requested a double opening fence. They took a week to respond to our request but then came out to give us an estimate that was cash only. We hired them and attempted to get an appointment time for the completion but they could not provide us with this. They decided to just showed up randomly and started the work while we were still asleep and unaware. Still, we were accepting and allowed them their space and time to complete the fence. They finished after just a few hours, we paid them in cash and they informed us they would return within three days to open the fence and add the final brackets. Three days pass and I ask when they will show up, they stated we would need to allow one more day. We did and again, they never came. I reached back out to which they showed up unannounced without responding back. They were here a total of 8 minutes that second time and hurried to leave. Once they left, we went to open the fence and could not as they built the fence so deep, that the ground/dirt was blocking the entire opening. My husband and I had to spend two hours digging out the ground in front of the fence. We finally think the fence is ready to be opened but when we tried to do this, we were unsuccessful. They left such an unorganized mess of a cement job that the cement is sticking out over the gate, keeping it from opening. I politely sent the company a message and asked if someone can come back soon to grind down the cement so we can open the fence and we were told no, they did their job and they are done. Who builds a gate and doesn't even make sure it opens first!!!!! Not to mention when I hired them, I already had a single side opening gate and this is the side that opened. So it opened before they started their work and after, we are left with a gate we cannot use. All my attempts to get a resolution go ignored. Once they have your money, they no longer care! This is the most rude, unprofessional company in all of Dayton. Beware!

On that initial visit, Cory's sent 4-5 people and they did a good job. They pulled the overgrown weeds, raked up, got the yard tidy & cleaned up. Fast forward to this spring, Cory's sent 2 people, they didn't pull ANYTHING, just sprayed weed killer - even on the emerging daffodil & tiger lillies which are now dead. So they're left with a yard of dried, dying weeds and debris for the same rate as their prior visit. So, they put their best foot forward initially then barely phoned it in for the follow up. Of course, my tenants aren't willing to continue with them but are still left with a messy yard they paid to have weeded and cleaned.
