This place has really gone down hill, staff if you can even call them that aren't interested in helping anyone and are beyond rude and insulting. $86 dollars a nigh!?! it'd be cheaper to rent a dry cabin and park there. WiFi is non existent and their power was intermittent at best. If you stay here you'll be stacked on top of other rv's due to greedy owners packing in as many spots as possible. This place is just ok for a short stay. You can't have ANY type of fire, not even a contained one in a solo fire pit. You're so close to other RVs you can hear and see everything. EVERYTHING!! Less than 6' in many spaces. Some spaces, like the ones we always get put into) are so (narrow with single trees in between, that you can't use your awning. The hookups for water and sewage are weird for our setup and cross over, it's not well thought out. And there is very limited room for an extra vehicle if it's not a compact car. I always struggle to fit my truck in our spot without blocking the folks next to us. Or sticking out into the road. I hate being rude, so I am really particular about making certain I'm not in anyone else's space. The staff have always been helpful for us, no complaints there. All said I would not stay here unless A; you're the type who don't like camp fires and privacy OR B; you're only staying so you can see the sites and have a safe place to sleep at night. read more

Place is great for the most part, reasonable RV park prices and well-kept grounds + the restaurant in their hotel side (Chena Alaskan Grill) is one of the more down-to-earth fine dining establishments in town. Things that seem to annoy some people: 1. Their late check-in policy where they don't give you the codes to the common bathroom/shower/laundry rooms is *kinda* annoying, and the hotel-side establishment refuses to give it to you even if you reserved/paid for your spot in advance (the two seem to be run somewhat separately, but still...). To solve this, just hang out around the bathroom area till other campers pass by; everyone is aware and mildly annoyed about the policy. 2. Late check-out is pretty strict regardless of season; doesn't matter if it's past prime RV season they want you out by noon. Honestly I had no issues about it (despite needing to deal with both a late check-in and a late-checkout myself) but I do wish they could be a listtle more accommodating to circumstance... read more

We recently moved from Fairbanks and needed to camp for a few days before leaving so decided to park our camper at this campground. Obviously, we didn't think it through. In addition to road noise, we had flights overhead as it is near the airport. Despite that, I would've given it 4 stars, but when we were checking out, we asked for a 1:00pm checkout as my husband had a follow up appointment with his surgeon that morning and we were not sure if we could get out by1100. We were denied as "we have a lot of reservations coming in at noon" They did give us an extra hour. I could understand the denial if they were full but they hadn't been full in the 3 nights we stayed there. Photos from the morning we left. read more

We stay at the Rivers Edge at least 2 time per summer. WE have family in the area so the park is not only convenient it is in such a beautiful setting. We love hanging out by the river and enjoying watching the ducks float by. The spaces give us plenty of room to enjoy our stay. The staff are friendly and helpful and you can tell how much they truly care about the property. The bathrooms/ showers are always clean, the laundry mat is as well. Our family is in North Pole but we prefer to stay at Rivers Edge in spite of there being other parks closer. We did eat at Chena's Alaskan Grill this past may. They had changed to only having a buffet. It was a tad expensive for my taste but the food was very good and the service was too. The Rivers Edge Rv park is our home away from home while visiting Fairbanks. read more

60/night they claim the have Wi-Fi, well the area which they put us in the Wi-Fi was broken and had been for awhile according to the manager of course After setting up camp and spending quite some time trying to get logged in, we inquired at the office and were made aware of the Wi-Fi situation. When we asked to move, so we could get some Wi-Fi services we were told it was going to be more money because the new site had 50 amp service. Mind you our RV only uses 30 amps of power. Please note the park was at best 29 percent of capacity. Furthermore if you want quick internet look elsewhere using the Ookla speed test the best speed I was able to get was 3.5 down and a little over 1 up. We we moved just down the street to Pioneer park camping there is potable water access and only cellular internet but it's almost $50 dollars per nite cheaper $12/ nite plus no attitude read more

Not a great spot if you don't have reservations or if you want to speak to someone. We tried the night before, but the office closes at 5 pm, so when you drive in after a day of driving, you are out of luck-plan ahead, no late night spots are allowed. Drove in around 11 am the next day to check to see if there was a site available for the night. The office door was locked during office hours with a lady in there. Had to knock a while to get her attention and her to acknowledge us. Asked if there were spots available and she said she's too busy to look it up and to come back in a few hours. Not great service when people are looking for spot to stay and you close early. read more

Worst RV experience of my life. We arrived in the evening and front desk said they were not interested in checking us in however, they would be in at 10am and we could pay then. This is when things got cool. Since we didn't register, the after hours number refused to give us the bathroom code. They said we could use bathrooms at hotel, but no showers. Even after offering to put my ID on file, they refused. So we left. Do not recommend in any way. read more

Very clean, fairly quiet, and very friendly staff. There is a very cute and well stocked, reasonably priced gift shop where we got a TON of stuff. The tent sites are pretty small, I felt like we were on top of other campers honestly, but we were right on the rivers edge (get it!?) and the view was gorgeous. Showers are free, toilets flush, and there is paid laundry. And there's free coffee all day in the registration office which was super nice. The staff helped out when our car died and gave us some great advice on where to go and what to see. read more

It was adequate. We stayed two nights in our rented RV. Pretty tight campsites and no campfires allowed. Don't get the last shower in the line because the first 3 use ALL the water. Also, when you hear a toilet flush - shut off the shower or you'll get scalded! But for free, who is complaining as other camp sites we've been to in AK charges up to $4.50 for a 10 minute shower! Unless you get a spot along the river, you're basically in a semi-wooded parking lot and can hear the highway nearby. We took a bus downtown so they're close to bus route. read more

Very clean bathrooms with free showers. It seemed like the tent sights were an afterthought though. Very small, no privacy and not quiet at all. River, highway and air traffic were very annoying. Probably a great place if you have an RV or camper but tent campers should look elsewhere. read more

Love this place!!! The staff was amazing especially the camp host. The camp ground it self and the public showers were very clean. The WIFI worked great!! You can walk to the grocery store(Fred Myers) and drug store (Walgreen's). read more

Overall a cute place! As with any city RV park, the sites are close together and not always with tree privacy between them. Great riverfront view with picnic tables; often people stand and fish from the shore there. Signs say no swimming because of strong currents but our dog was fine swimming because of a moderate back-swell that kept it calm along our section of shore. Gift shop on site, and free coffee all day in the office. Restaurant for the resort is a short walk away; not cheap, but we were always happy with the food and beers. Easy access to bike paths that run all through Fairbanks, as well as close to a Fred Meyer for all your shopping and a Sunrise for breakfast bagels! Bathrooms are alright; the plumbing is weak but they make up for it by cleaning the restrooms twice a day. Little hotel hair dryers at the sink, at least in women's room. Huge perk: coin-op RV wash bay to get all that Alaska Highway grit off your RV! Laundry room has many machines, but they are spendy! $3 wash, $3 for 60min dry. Some dryers let you add additional time at 25c per 5min, but others appear not to allow that function. read more

Generally speaking, this large R V Park has a lot to offer. The spaces are mostly pull-through with power, water, and many have sewer as well. The sites are pretty level and there are lots of trees and grassy areas to boost the overall appearance. Laundry and restrooms are up near the office and are kept pretty clean. The Chena River running right there adds attraction as well. Of course, one gets what one pays for - with a few exceptions. Examples - the walk to the laundry and restrooms where showers are as well can be a pretty big hike. The same is true for the trash dumpster. It sure would be nice for a bit more convenient locations considering that this is the priciest Park around. Couldn't there be a trash can at least in the middle of each row? How about if someone can't park in a space because the trees are so close on one side that their slide outs hit them and the bushes with the stickers on them are so close to the other side that there is not a successful walkway? What if there is a buried cable for the TV that sticks out of the ground and truly is a significant trip hazard? Or, what if the Park isn't even half full at the end of summer and a guest requests a change of site because of a problem, including a flooded site due to summer rain, and is denied without care or concern about the guest, the paying guest? Yes, these happened to us and the office staff grew VERY hardheaded about any possibility of correcting these problems or allowing a change of assigned space - there were MANY OBVIOUS available spaces, too. Well, when customer service becomes a concept instead of a practice, the value of the niceties drops. It is said that one "Aw Shucks" undoes the value of 10 "Attaboys." I didn't even mention the nosiness from the surrounding area, did I? Ah, well, enough said. read more

The resort was very clean and I got my Alaskan souvenir at the main lobby. The bathrooms were very nice and clean. There isn't shuttle service anywhere and you have to take a taxi or the city bus to get around. read more

Nice little cottage, scheduled 30 minutes before we got there, clean, comfy beds, short walk to the river because all the river view cottages were taken, we paid 189 $, quiet, our porch faced north for northern lights facing the river, benches and walkway next to the river, front staff was very nice and welcoming. Beautiful RV Park on a slow moving river. Very clean, everything in great working order, reasonable prices and lots of washing machines. The showers were very neat and clean. Staff was friendly and I can't state how much we enjoyed our stay there. read more
